Luís Campos writing book about his time at PSG
As revealed by RMC Sport show After Foot, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luís Campos is writing a book that will include anecdotes of his last three years at the Ligue 1 side.

The book, written by Campos himself, will be about his time with PSG, which began back in 2022. The former AS Monaco and Lille OSC sporting director has instilled a new philosophy at the club, which has entailed moving away from the big-name stars. Since his arrival, there has been more of a focus on homegrown talents in France more generally, as well as those coming through the academy.
However, there have still been some big-money arrivals from abroad, notably Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who arrived from Napoli in January, and João Neves, who arrived in the summer. During his time in Paris, Les Parisiens have been dominant on the domestic scene, recently wrapping up their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title, whilst they are also on the verge of reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in back-to-back seasons.
The news of Campos writing a book coincides with questions surrounding his future at PSG. His contract with the club expires at the end of the season. Talks over a renewal are ongoing, L'Équipe understands, however, as reported by RMC Sport, there is yet to be a breakthrough in those talks.

Facundo Medina prefers a move to Marseille over Bayer Leverkusen

According to L'Équipe, Facundo Medina (26) prefers a potential move to Marseille this summer over other clubs interested in his services, including Bayer Leverkusen. Les Sang et Or value the Argentine international at €25m. The Artois club are yet to receive a formal offer for the 26-year-old. However, several clubs are interested in recruiting Medina, who has given his priority to Roberto De Zerbi's side in the hopes of becoming an OM player before the summer is over. Advertisement Medina has discussed the prospect of playing for Les Phocéens with his international teammate Leonardo Balerdi (26). Marseille's interest in the centre-back is mutual, yet a potential move is not set to be completed before the beginning of July for financial and administrative reasons. GFFN | Liam Wraith

Real Madrid rule out summer return for former academy ace

NIco Paz was well on Real Madrid's radar as they looked to improve their depth in midfield ahead of the new season. The Argentine starlet, after all, has been brilliant in the Serie A with Como and his great numbers for club and country coupled with the low clause Real Madrid had to execute his signing made him a perfect candidate. Advertisement Last week, the offices at the Valdebebas were convinced that he was the midfield signing that would give Xabi Alonso the required depth in midfield. The player, however, was uncertain of returning and worried about being sidelined once more. Real Madrid press halt on Nico return A week later, the situation has completely turned on its head as Los Blancos have now decided that Paz will not return back this summer. They have closed the interest from their end as relayed by OK Diario. As confirmed by the Spanish outlet, the key factor behind Real Madrid withdrawing from the race to sign Paz is the Franco Mastantuono deal that is coming along well. Nico Paz unlikely to return to Madrid this summer. (Photo by) The River Plate youngster, after all, is one of the brightest and most promising midfield prospects in world football. He was close to joining PSG just last week, but Real Madrid swiftly swooped in and are now favourites. Advertisement As it stands, it looks like the men in white have an agreement in place with the prodigy and he is set to join the club after the FIFA Club World Cup. Thus, they see no further need to sign any new midfielders. To bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu, the Merengues will shell out the player's release clause and an official announcement can be expected in the next week. Whether he links up with the team before or after the Club World Cup still remains to be seen.

Bayern Munich Ponder €80M Raid for Man Utd, Liverpool Target With PSG Sell-on Clause

PSG sold Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig earlier this year, resulting in Liverpool and Manchester United showing serious interest in the Dutch midfielder. Moreover, the deal included a sell-on clause, meaning PSG could cash in again if Leipzig decides to move him on. According to Fabrizio Romano, Leipzig paid €80 million total—€55 million up front—and Simons signed a deal through June 2027. Still, there's no certainty he'll see out that contract in Germany. Advertisement With the summer transfer window approaching, speculation around Simons' future is heating up. CaughtOffside reports that Manchester United may have the upper hand over City in the chase to land him. Could Bayern Munich beat Liverpool for former PSG ace?Fichajes reports that Bayern Munich view Xavi Simons as a strong fit for their plans, but RB Leipzig's asking price could be a major hurdle. The Red Bull-owned club, facing the setback of missing out on European competition, has already made Simons available for transfer. Leipzig are reportedly demanding around €80 million, which has forced Bayern Munich to think carefully about whether they're ready to commit to such a significant investment. Advertisement Simons' camp is reportedly watching Bayern Munich's next steps. While the interest from the Bavarian side is serious, any deal will likely hinge on potential departures from the squad—and whether deeper-pocketed clubs decide to make a move for the talented Dutchman. Empire of the Kop recently reported that Liverpool are preparing an opening bid of around €60 million ($67.8 million) for the Netherlands international playmaker, as Arne Slot aims to boost his attack for next season. However, despite Slot's desire to make this player his first summer signing, the offer will likely fall short. RB Leipzig are reportedly holding out for closer to €80 million ($90.4 million).
