Taylor Swift's big relationship move with Travis Kelce

Daily Mail28-05-2025

Taylor Swift is showing her commitment to boyfriend Travis Kelce and their future with a significant move.
The singer is staying in Florida with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end as he trains for the upcoming NFL season in order to show her 'support', following the team's devastating Super Bowl loss last February.
The Karma hitmaker, 35, is in Miami to 'support and spend time' with the athlete, 35, according to a source who spoke with People.
'Travis still seems very happy with Taylor,' the source added of the pair, following reports that he blamed the public attention from their relationship for poorly impacting his NFL performance last season.
The duo, who have been dating since 2023, were recently seen enjoying a date at Harry's Bar & Restaurant in West Palm Beach on Friday, a short drive from Kelce's lavish new $20 million waterside mansion in Boca Raton.
'Travis was working on Friday before his dinner date with Taylor,' the insider shared. 'He left early to go meet her.'

Meanwhile Travis' mom, Donna Kelce, showed the pair support by liking an Instagram snap from their date night shared by a fan account.
Kelce, who was recently seen in Florida with his dad, has been spending his offseason on the down-low as he gets ready for the upcoming 2025 campaign.
He's been down in Florida renting a lavish waterfront property as he prepares for an intense training routine. On Tuesday, Kelce returned to the team's facility ahead of his latest training camp.
The news of Taylor's decision to remain in Miami comes after the star opted to skip the American Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday, despite being nominated in six categories.
Taylor's support for Kelce's upcoming season will certainly be crucial for him, as the Kansas City Chiefs' 2024 season concluded with a tough 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 this past February.
In April, it was reported that Travis believed his newfound fame from dating Taylor caused a dip in his NFL form last season.
Kelce had one of the most underwhelming seasons of his career in 2024 from a statistical standpoint, putting up some of his worst numbers ever before going largely anonymous in the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
His abject showing against the Eagles also came less than 48 hours after he and Swift controversially headed out on a pre-Super Bowl date night with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes in New Orleans, which raised concerns given how close it was to the game.
Following the loss, a source told Us Weekly: 'He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.'

The Chiefs will now be looking to make their sixth Super Bowl appearance in seven years, aiming for another championship run.
The team is scheduled for seven primetime games in 2025, kicking off their season against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 5th in Brazil.
Besides Travis' training, the power couple have been enjoying some downtime together.
During their recent date night, Taylor — who wrapped up her Eras Tour at the end of 2024 — wore a floral-print off-the-shoulder sundress and a bun, while Travis opted for a stylish black-and-white shirt along with a black baseball cap.
The high-profile duo walked hand-in-hand into the restaurant while being flanked by security guards.
The pair sat at a round table with glasses in their hands as the Eras Tour star reportedly enjoyed some white wine and Kelce sipped on a cocktail.
'They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it. They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It's a special time for them,' a source told People in April.
Meanwhile a source recently told the Daily Mail that an engagement 'will 100 percent happen' in the future.
'Taylor and Travis are treating this relationship as their last relationship, and when they get engaged, when they get married and when they start a family, it will be exactly when it is meant to happen.'
Travis confirmed to Pat McAfee at the end of February that he is not hanging up his cleats just yet, amid rumors of retirement.
Kelce explained to older brother Jason on their New Heights podcast shortly after: 'I think the biggest thing is that I f***ing love playing the game of football. I still feel I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year.'
'I don't think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past.
'I want to give it a good run. I've got a bad taste in my mouth on how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me. I love so many people in Kansas City, both in that facility and the community and it's home for me now.'
'I don't want to leave that life yet. I put in a lot of hard work and focus into being the best I can be for Kansas City and last year it didn't end well for us. I feel there's a responsibility in me to play out the contract I initially signed to give the organization everything that I've got and that's what I'm going to do man.'

Rory McIlroy reveals anger over driver testing leak that led to media silence

Rory McIlroy was left 'p----d off' at the US PGA Championship last month after the news his driver failed testing leaked while Scottie Scheffler's same result stayed private. The Masters champion declined to speak to the media after all of four rounds at Quail Hollow last month, where he finished in a tie for 47th after a poor opening day driving performance saw him hit just two fairways. News broke during the US PGA second round that McIlroy's driver was found to be 'non-conforming' during testing before the tournament, which brought a cloud over the euphoria of finally completing the career grand slam by winning the Green Jacket. Scheffler stormed to a five-shot victory at the US PGA to land his third major before revealing he, like McIlroy, was forced to change his driver after it also failed testing. 'Yeah, look, the PGA was a bit of a weird week,' McIlroy said ahead of this week's RBC Canadian Open. 'I didn't play well. I didn't play well the first day, so I wanted to go practice, so that was fine. 'Second day we finished late. I wanted to go back and see Poppy before she went to bed. The driver news broke. I didn't really want to speak on that. Saturday I was supposed to tee off at 8:20 in the morning. I didn't tee off until almost 2:00 in the afternoon, another late finish, was just tired, wanted to go home. 'Then Sunday, I just wanted to get on the plane and go back to Florida. Yeah, look, and also the driver stuff, there was -- I was a little p----d off because I knew that Scottie's driver had failed on Monday, but my name was the one that was leaked. It was supposed to stay confidential. Two members of the media were the ones that leaked it.' Non-conforming driver testing is a complex issue in golf with professionals unaware their drivers no longer meet requirements until they are tested. A driver is invariably considered non-conforming if it deviates from the specifications set by the governing bodies and this can include exceeding limits on springiness. When used extensively, drivers can experience 'CT creep' – characteristic timing – where the face flexes on impact causing wear which makes it illegal. McIlroy explained the frustrations over his testing result not remaining confidential led him to skip media as he did not want to say something he would later regret. 'Again, I didn't want to get up there and say something that I regretted, either, because there's a lot of people that – I'm trying to protect Scottie,' the five-time major winner added. 'I don't want to mention his name. I'm trying to protect TaylorMade. I'm trying to protect the USGA, PGA of America, myself. 'I just didn't want to get up there and say something that I regretted at the time. 'With Scottie's stuff, that's not my information to share. I knew that that had happened, but that's not on me to share that, and I felt that process is supposed to be kept confidential, and it wasn't for whatever reason. That's why I was pretty annoyed at that. 'From a responsibility standpoint, look, I understand, but if we all wanted to, we could all bypass you guys and we could just go on this and we could go on social media and we could talk about our round and do it our own way.'
