are in full swing. As part of the rituals leading up to the event, the Panchmukhi (five-faced) idol of Lord Kedarnath was ceremonially sent off to the shrine on Monday.

Before embarking on the journey, a special worship ceremony was held at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, Uttarakhand.
The Panchmukhi idol, after undergoing a traditional Panch-Snan (fivefold ceremonial bath) and decoration, was placed on a decorated palanquin (doli). School children and residents lined the streets to welcome the doli with devotion.

(BKTC) media in-charge, Dr. Harish Gaur, said in a press release that preparations at Kedarnath Dham are complete. Arrangements have been made for drinking water, electricity, and accommodations for priests and temple staff.
Additionally, with the registration process for the Char Dham Yatra commencing on Monday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is confident that all preparations are in place to conduct a successful Yatra.
"All preparations for Char Dham Yatra 2025 have been done," CM Dhami told ANI, adding, "Yamunotri and Gangotri doors will open on April 30; Kedarnath Dham on May 2; whereas Badrinath Dham will open on May 4."Dhami further informed that all security arrangements related to travel and accommodation have been completed.
Char Dham Yatra 2025 registration also began on Monday, with special registration counters set up for the specially-abled, senior citizens, and foreign nationals. Whereas, 20 free registration counters have been installed as well, District Tourism Officer, Shushil Nautiyal, said.

30 Visually Impaired Devotees Join 521km Journey On Foot From Yavatmal To Pandharpur

Among them, a unique and inspiring group stands out — 30 visually impaired devotees from Yavatmal, who have set out on a 521-km pilgrimage on foot. This initiative, now in its second year, has been organized by the Seva Samarpan Pratishthan in association with the Divyang Seva Samiti. Early Monday morning, at 9am, the pilgrimage began with the ceremonial departure of a palanquin carrying the symbolic image and sandals (paduka) of Saint Surdas Maharaj from the local Siddhi Vinayak Temple. The event was inaugurated by Yavatmal MLA Balasaheb Mangulkar and tehsildar Yogesh Deshmukh, who offered prayers and performed the palakhi pujan. A large gathering of local citizens, organization members, and volunteers witnessed the spiritual send-off. The idea of this Divyang Wari (special pilgrimage for the differently-abled) was conceived by Seva Samarpan Pratishthan president Prashant Banginwar. Galwan Memorial (Photo: ANI) SRINAGAR: Plans to open Galwan Valley hot springs in Ladakh for tourists on the fifth anniversary of the deadly clash between Indian and Chinese troops have been delayed, as construction of the war memorial needs further work. 'We have deferred the official opening of the Galwan Valley until the memorial is completed in perfection, as that will be the main attraction. It is about to be completed, but needs a finishing touch,' Tashi Gyalson, chief executive councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), told TOI. Gyalson said LAHDC was also working on amending permit regulations to allow visitors without special permission. 'It is just a matter of a few days before Galwan Valley is opened to tourists,' he said. The Ladakh administration, in collaboration with the Indian Army, is at present working to build supporting infrastructure in the area. The Galwan Valley hot springs near the Line of Actual Control were set to open on June 15 as part of a battlefield tourism initiative.
