Aldi's Robot Vacuum is scanning at stores for just £99.99

So if you're still getting your house in order this summer, this item may be worth the investment.
Available right now from the Specialbuys section, Aldi's Robot Vacuum Cleaner will set you back just £99.99.
While that's a steep price point for punters, the option is an inexpensive alternative to the Samsung Jet Bot vacuum which is scanning for an eye-watering £665.
Better still, you can schedule it to run at any time, even when you're tucked up in bed.
It features a three-stage suction adjustment, is app controlled and comes with a free one-year warranty.
How do robot vacuum cleaners work?
Robot vacuum cleaners are basically little AI-powered hockey pucks on a mission to tackle your dirty floors while you put your feet up – but there's some proper clever tech making it all happen.
These nifty gadgets use a combination of sensors, motors and clever software to navigate around your home without faceplanting down the stairs or getting hopelessly tangled in your phone charger. It's the ultimate cleaning hack.
Most robot vacs start by creating a digital map of your home – think of it as the robot getting its bearings.
Using sensors (and in pricier models, cameras or lasers), it builds a virtual floorplan of your space, noting where furniture sits and which areas to avoid.
The actual cleaning happens thanks to spinning brushes that sweep dirt toward the centre, where powerful motors create suction to pull everything into an onboard dustbin.
Aldi's Must-Have Toddler Specialbuys!
Higher-end models pack some serious punch – the Dyson 360 Vis Nav boasts a whopping 20,000 Pa of suction!
When it comes to power, these robots are pretty self-sufficient.
They automatically return to their charging dock when running low on juice, meaning you don't need to babysit them.
Some of the fancier models even empty their own dustbins into a larger container in the dock, so you might only need to empty it once a month.
Most impressive is how they've evolved from bumbling robo-cleaners that randomly ping-pong around rooms to sophisticated smart home gadgets that can be controlled via app, learn your cleaning preferences, and even avoid specific obstacles like pet waste!

Struggling major carmaker to axe 500 jobs in ‘difficult decision' just 3 months after bombshell merger
The merger is hoped to establish the company as a global competitor HIT THE BRAKES Struggling major carmaker to axe 500 jobs in 'difficult decision' just 3 months after bombshell merger Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MAJOR carmaker is set to axe up to 500 jobs just three months after a shock merger. Back in April, the merger between a luxury supercar maker and an electric car start-up came as a shock. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 McLaren announced its merger with Forseven in April 2025 Credit: AFP The merger between McLaren and Forseven could result in up to 500 job losses as part of a cost reduction process. It comes after several years of financial difficulty for the supercar company. After the pandemic it faced near bankruptcy in 2020, leading to significant restructuring. Sales continued to plummet in 2023, with the merger hoping to restore its financial position. A spokesperson said that they were proposing "a potential workforce reduction of up to 500 roles across the combined organisation". They added: "The realignment of roles and responsibilities is a necessary step in preparing for the coming together of our two businesses and will ensure that our operations are streamlined to enable resilience and success over the long term." The company said they would provide "comprehensive support and guidance to all those affected" while they try to minimise the impact on employees. "Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to expanding our portfolio of luxury vehicles and delivering the exceptional customer experiences that honour the McLaren legacy," the company said. A consultation process with its 2,500 employee workforce is already underway according to The Evening Standard. It reported that roles are expected to be cut in departments like design and engineering, IT, legal and HR. All UK car dealerships will STOP selling 10,000s of iconic brand's used models impacted by lethal airbag flaw Jobs that are duplicated across the two companies are most at risk. The cuts could affect employees at McLaren's main base in Woking, in addition to its Bicester, Leamington and Surrey sites. McLaren merged with Forseven in April to form McLaren Group Holdings, with Forseven CEO Nick Collins leading. While McLaren has a long-standing history as a leader in the supercar market, Forseven is still relatively new. The British start-up includes more than 700 industry professionals who are working to launch a luxury range by 2030. An announcement on the Forseven website reads: "Forseven has merged with McLaren Automotive with one clear vision: to become a world-beating automotive business." Abu Dhabi investment company CYVN Holdings is set to finance the new company. As part of the merger, an estimated 300 roles have been created which could reduce the impact of redundancies. Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of CYVN hopes to redefine the high-performance and luxury sectors. In a press release announcing the merger, the company said it hoped to "transform McLaren into a high-performing British automotive business on the global stage." Jassem Al Zaabi said: 'I'm personally committed to making this vision a reality. It isn't just about investing, it is about shaping the future of McLaren as a brand, as a business and its place on the global automotive map. "We want to - and we will - push boundaries and deliver groundbreaking innovations that drive real progress in the sector. 'This is the start of an exciting new era for McLaren as a car brand and an automotive business." In addition to McLaren's Automotive business, he also promised to continue working on McLaren Racing's long-term success. This includes "supporting the team in building on their successes, winning more podiums, and inspiring fans worldwide." They added that more details about the vision and strategy going forward will be announced later this year.

Busy UK airport opens new £60million hub marking start of mega makeover – including bigger terminal & more restaurants
TAKE OFF Busy UK airport opens new £60million hub marking start of mega makeover – including bigger terminal & more restaurants Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BRISTOL Airport has just unveiled a shiny new £60million transport hub bursting with new restaurants and a bigger terminal. The swanky new facility marks the first phase of the airport's huge redevelopment project, aimed at boosting capacity from 10 million to 12 million travellers a year. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Bristol Airport's new transport hub is officially open for business Credit: Getty The brand-new transport interchange sits on top of a modern multi-storey car park and includes 16 bus and coach bays, up from just six before. That means more buses, smoother transfers and quicker journeys to and from the terminal. Inside, passengers can now make use of waiting lounges, toilets and rest zones, with the whole setup designed to make travelling through the airport a lot less stressful. Drivers can now park in one of over 2,000 new spaces and stroll straight to the terminal via a covered footbridge – perfect for avoiding the classic British weather and stressful suitcase dashes. The car park and interchange are part of what Bristol Airport calls a 'one-stop shop' for public transport, all rolled out to improve the experience for millions of passengers. Airport bosses say this is just phase one of a massive plan to transform Bristol into a more modern, efficient travel hub. Over the next 18 months, they'll be tackling road layouts, terminal space, and food and drink options – all while keeping the airport running. And yes, more restaurants, bigger lounges, and improved drop-off areas are all in the pipeline. There will be a new "drop and go" zone and there will also be better pedestrian links to the terminal. Dave Lees, chief executive of the Airport, said the new development was "really important as it represents a milestone in terms of improving the facilities for our customers". Big Changes Coming to Airport Security: TSA Liquid Rule May Be Axed Soon "Gone are the days of passengers having to walk up slopes here," he added, explaining that the number of bays for coaches and buses had been doubled, as well as the addition of new covered access routes, covered seating and toilet facilities. This signifies the airport's "level of ambition" as it "looks to the future", he added. The project has taken over two years to complete and is part of a wider £400million airport transformation project, which aims to improve transport links. North Somerset Council leader Mile Bell called the new development a "fantastic piece of infrastructure", but added that more needed to be done to improve access routes. "I think we all recognise that we've still got more to do to make the access routes easier and introduce mass transit, particularly from Bristol city centre so people can get here easier, faster and cheaper using public transport," he said. He also urged passengers to "give public transport a try" to ease the strain on illegal and thoughtless parking in the areas around the airport. Not everyone was thrilled by the expansion plans and they sparked strong opposition from environmental campaigners, who argued against more flights during a climate crisis. The Bristol Airport Action Network (BAAN) worked with Extinction Rebellion and other concerned residents to protest the airport growth. They claimed that the increase in passengers every year would significantly increase carbon emissions. In 2020, North Somerset Council rejected the expansion plans after also expressing concerns about carbon emissions. Those against were also worried about the pressure the additional traffic would put on the local infrastructure and greenbelt intrusion. The rejection was overturned in 2022 but officials stressed that the expansion complied with national planning policy and deemed the climate impact acceptable. This comes after an unlikely football hero was spotted working at the airport in June this year. After Swansea boss Luke Williams was sacked in February 2025 he was placed on gardening leave. The ex-Swindon and Notts County chief decided to do something with his time and joined the team at Bristol Airport. Wearing a high-vis, the gig is helping disabled and limited-mobility passengers get around the terminals. Fans flocked to praise the footie star after a photo of him at the airport did the rounds. One wrote: "Cardiff City fan here with nothing but respect for this. Call me woke if you want. (*best believe I'll turn up in full bluebirds kit when I fly out next week)" Another wrote: "Clearly has a massive work ethic. Good luck to him!"
