R-Truth's net worth and contract details: How much did the WWE legend make?

Hindustan Times2 days ago

The WWE released veteran wrestler R-Truth, 17 years after he joined the company and went on to establish himself as a fan favourite.
R-TRUTH made the announcement through a post on the social media platform X.
"I'm sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE," he said Sunday. "I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride. Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you," the post by R-Truth read.
R-Truth's release by the WWE happened as his contract with the company was due to expire and would not be renewed beyond that point. But he has nevertheless carved out a decent net worth for himself. Here is a bird's eye view of R-Truth's net worth and contract details:
Ronnie Aaron Killings, better known by his ring name R-Truth, has a staggering net worth of around $3 million, according to a report by Sportskeeda. In the business, R-Truth was primarily endorsed by WWE merchandise sales, WWE shops, and 2K Games.
He was also endorsed by the clothing brand Cult of Individuality and featured on the front cover of Your Voice Hip Hop magazine. According to reports, R-Truth's annual salary as part of his WWE contract was $550,000.
R-Truth's release ends his second stint with the WWE, which began in 2008. He had a two-year stint in WWE from 1999-2001, but became a prominent star during his time with TNA Wrestling from 2002-07.
Although he never won the WWE Championship, R-Truth's 17-year run was memorable. While he first connected with fans as he rapped his entrance music with the "what's up?" chant, he was known for being one of the best comedic wrestlers in the business. He constantly brought laughter to segments and made fellow talent break character on-air.
The 53-year-old faced John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event on May 24. Cena defeated R-Truth in what would be his last WWE match as he retired after the clash.

The exciting PLE will take place on Saturday, June 7th, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. This year's Money in the Bank ladder match will feature top stars and rising talent all eyeing the golden briefcase for a World Championship match anytime and place of their choosing. Here are the three superstars who might walk away the victor this year: 3. Penta Ever since making his WWE debut at the start of the Netflix era on RAW, Penta has proven himself to be a captivating addition to the roster. The luchador outlasted Chad Gable and Dragon Lee to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Moreover, he has been putting up excellent performances in top-tier matches. This makes his chances bright to win at the Money in the Bank PLE, which could take his push in WWE to the next level. 2. LA Knight Ever since mid-2023, LA Knight has been on the rise as one of the most popular WWE superstars of this generation. Moreover, he was heavily favored to win that year's Money in the Bank ladder match amidst his roaring popularity. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! Seth Rollins A man is out to claim power over the entire WWE landscape with his dominant unit. He is none other than Seth "Freakin" Rollins. He has been on a mission to establish his dominance in the company ever since he brought Paul Heyman to his side. Moreover, Rollins strengthened his position by recruiting Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to his side. With his intentions to capture the World title clear and having a strong showing each week on RAW, Rollins is one of the top contenders to win Money in the Bank this year, which could make him a two-time winner. Roman Reigns WWE return: 'OTC' to replace controversial star in Money in the Bank match and teach Seth Rollins a lesson?

Roman Reigns WWE return: The Money in the Bank Premium Live Event (PLE) is almost upon us. The show will be held in Inglewood on June 7. It will feature the titular match in which six men from Raw and SmackDown will lock horns to secure the coveted briefcase that guarantees them the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship or the Undisputed Championship at a time and place of their choosing. The participants are LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, El Grande Americano, Andrade, Seth Rollins, and Penta. One of these stars, however, may not make it to the match if Roman Reigns has his way. Roman Reigns to give Seth Rollins the shock of a lifetime? Reigns has not been seen on WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 41 when Bron Breakker speared him through the barricade. In doing so, 'The Unpredictable Badass' aligned with the OTC's arch-rival Seth Rollins. Rollins, who has since then been joined by Bronson Reed, plans to capture the briefcase and change the landscape of the company forever. His plans may, however, go for a toss if Reigns finds a way to insert himself into the marquee match and win it. Hypothetically, he could do so by taking out and replacing El Grande Americano in the contest. The 'legendary luchador' has been a nightmare for masked wrestlers ever since his debut a few months ago. Many believe that Raw's Chad Gable is under the mask, which makes this character all the more controversial. As such, taking out such a notorious re-establish Reigns as a face (good guy) and add some much-needed star power to the marquee ladder match. Going down this route will help Reigns reignite his personal rivalry with Seth Rollins and possibly teach his faction a lesson. Inserting Reigns into the match will also allow the WWE to revisit (even if briefly) OTC's chequered past with his cousin Solo Sikoa, who had him removed from The Bloodline. That said, this angle is purely speculative as things stand. Why does Roman Reigns hate Seth Rollins? Reigns and Seth Rollins were once part of the group called The Shield, which ruled the WWE. 'The Visionary', however, betrayed him many years ago. This led to the downfall of their relationship. Things hit rock bottom at WrestleMania 41 when Paul Heyman– the former Big Dog's 'Wiseman'-- betrayed him on Rollins' orders. Heyman also stabbed his 'friend' CM Punk in the back on that fateful night. Stay ahead of the game with the latest updates, match highlights, and insider stories from IPL, cricket, WWE, and more!
