New York Mets fans flee in horror as animal wreaks havoc in the stands at Citi Field
Furry creatures have roamed the lands of Citi Field for years. No, we're not talking about the fuzz on the Mr. Met costume.
Conveniently located next to the former site of a scrap yard, Citi Field has been known to have the occasional varmint pop their head up and make an appearance.
The same thing happened on Wednesday when fans of the Mets were sent scattering for cover as a raccoon began rummaging through the stands.
SNY cameras captured the creature walking down the stairs into a row of seats as fans carefully watched its movements.
It's unclear what happened to the raccoon once the cameras turned away.
Hopefully, the raccoon was able to flee the stadium to stop watching a horror show from the Mets.

After taking two of the games in their series against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates, the Mets couldn't sweep the Buccos.
Not only did they lose, they got shut out 4-0 as pitcher Clay Holmes picked up his first loss of the year.
Pirates first baseman Matt Gorski launched a two-run blast in the rain in the top of the second inning and third baseman Jared Triolo did the same in the fifth inning.
Meanwhile, only six Mets got hits on the evening and no one managed more than a single hit in what was a solid bullpen day for the Pirates.
The defeat stopped a three-game win streak for the Mets - who now travel across town for the Subway Series against the Yankees beginning on Friday.

Sam Burns succeeds where others fail in the second round of US Open
Sam Burns fired himself into US Open contention at the halfway point after taming Oakmont. The 2023 Ryder Cup player carded a brilliant five-under-par 65 to move to three-under and become the clubhouse leader after the morning wave of second rounds. He was one shot behind overnight leader JJ Spaun, who began his round at lunchtime on Friday. The brutal Oakmont course, with punishing rough and treacherous greens, has chewed up and spat out some of the world's best players so far, but Burns was able to thrive. Starting at two over after Thursday's opening round, he produced a blemish-free 31 with four birdies to make the turn at two under. He dropped a shot at the first hole, his 10th of the day, but recovered with birdies at the second and fourth before draining a 22-foot putt to save par. World number one Scott Scheffler is back at four-over after a 71, which consisted of four birdies and five bogeys and may be one of the better rounds of the day. Brooks Koepka was sitting at two under overnight but dropped down to two over after a difficult second nine holes saw him hit five bogeys. Jon Rahm was another player who endured a torrid time, especially on the greens, as he tumbled down the leaderboard after a five-over-par 75. 'Honestly, I'm too annoyed and too mad right now to think about any perspective,' the Spaniard said. 'Very few rounds of golf I played in my life where I think I hit good putts and they didn't sniff the hole, so it's frustrating.' Indeed, the terrifying course in Pennsylvania was playing even tougher on Friday, with just two of the players who have completed two rounds sitting under par. Norway's Victor Hovland joins Burns in the red after he carded a two-under-par 68 to sit one under overall. Hovland was at three under with four holes to play but two dropped shots, at the sixth and eighth holes, proved costly.

Fever star Caitlin Clark (quad) to return after missing five games
June 13 - Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark will return to the lineup on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis against the 9-0 New York Liberty, the team said Friday. Clark, 23, missed the past five games with a left quad strain sustained during the Fever's previous meeting with the defending champion Liberty on May 24. Indiana went 2-3 without Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year who is averaging 19.0 points, 9.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds in four games this season. Clark posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists in last month's 90-88 loss to New York. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark earned All-Star and All-WNBA honors in 2024 and set a league record with 337 assists while playing all 40 games.
