LEGENDARY Brazilians Flamengo will square off with Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium in the Club World Cup on Sunday.
Flamengo booked their place in the Round of 16 by topping Group D. Bayern had to be content with the runners-up spot in Group C, after finishing second to Benfica.

Flamengo was the home to the legendary Zico for the best years of his career, when the man dubbed the 'White Pele' was arguably the best player on the planet in the 1970 and 80s.

After the highs of the 19080s, Flamengo suffered a post-Zico slump and were in the doldrums for some time. But they are now back in the big time, and what better a way for them to reintroduce themselves to a new generation of fans than knocking out the great Bayern Munich.
Flamengo booked their place in the Round of 16 by winning Group D ahead of Chelsea, ES Tunis and LAFC. It wasn't the most difficult of groups, but in their biggest challenge, the Brazilians defeated Chelsea 3-1 in what was effectively the match to decide who topped the table.
Bayern Munich started their Club World Cup campaign by beating part-timers Auckland City 10-0. The Bavarians backed that ruthless display up by beating Boca Juniors 2-1 in their second match, a result that sealed their place in the Round of 16.
With only the top spot of the table left to play for, Bayern struggled to get going in their final group match. The Bavarians looked leggy and slightly lacking motivation in their 1-0 defeat to Benfica.
Although at the same time, you couldn't help thinking if they had found the equaliser, Vincent Kompany's team would have likely kicked on and won comfortably.

Two legendary names meet looking for a place in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup. Both have won the preceding Intercontinental Cup, Bayern twice, Flamengo once. But only Bayern - with two wins - have picked up this title. If Flamengo are going to roll back the years and repeat history, they will have to do it the hard way. Bayern to win and both teams to score
Bayern Munich are 7/10 to win in 90 minutes and we think that is a solid looking wager. We can only see a win for the Germans.
Flamengo sit top of their domestic Brazilian Serie A with 24 points from 11 matches. They have scored 24 goals and conceded just four.
Despite all the attacking talent Brazil boasts, their league isn't high scoring. Bragantino sit third and Palmeiras fourth in the table, they have scored 14 and 12 goals in 11 matches, respectively.
Flamengo are miles ahead with regards to goals scored. Therefore we think it's worth backing them to find the back of the net, which, combined with a Bayern win, pays a healthy looking 9/4.
Michael Olise to score or assist
The name of Michael Olise has started to come up in comparisons with Lamine Yamal and even in the conversations to win the Ballon d'Or. The argument being made in favour of the former Crystal Palace man is his stats.
Since joining Bayern Munich, Olise has played 53 matches in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 23 assists. Remember, this is his debut season since joining from Palace.
Okay, he's not going to win the Ballon d'Or, and to us neutrals, he isn't as good as Yamal, but try telling that to Vincent Kompany. The Bayern boss would probably tell us that Olise is one of the first names in his starting eleven and every bit as important to the Bayern team as Yamal is to Barça.
He is worth backing for another goal involvement against Flamengo.
Over 2.5 goals
We have already stated that we fully expect to see Bayern win this fixture. But at the same time, it's hard to know exactly how Flamengo will get on against the Bavarian giants.
If nothing else, we know that both teams like to attack and score goals - their respective statistics tell us that.
So if you're looking for an alternative bet, a wager on over 2.5 goals might be the way to go. Over 3.5 looks a possibility and is 7/4. We are sticking with over 2.5 as it covers a 2-1 win for either team.
