Surprise iPad A16 deal helps you save on this 256GB variant

Phone Arena2 days ago

Did you know Amazon had a pretty awesome $149 discount on the 10th Gen iPad? Well, it did, but the tablet sold out in its Silver color. Does that mean you can no longer score a 256GB entry-level iPad at a lower price? Not at all! In fact, the newer iPad A16 is currently 13% off — which, believe it or not, is a rare bargain.
$61 off (13%)
How would you like to buy a base iPad for everyday entertainment at a rare discount? If that sounds tempting, now's the time to buy the iPad A16 at Amazon. Currently, the 256GB variant in Silver sells for 13% off, which isn't an offer you can see every other day. Buy at Amazon With a standard price of around $450, the 256GB iPad in Silver is now available for just under $390, which saves you $61. In case you're wondering, we've seen just one more substantial discount so far, and it didn't even happen on Amazon. Usually, the device sells for about $50 off in all storage and connectivity models, so the current bargain is worth your attention. With its A16 chip, the latest iPad model is much more powerful than its predecessor, and it easily leaves the Google Pixel Tablet in the dust. You can expect excellent daily performance and some gaming potential — at that price, what more could you ask for?
As for the display, it's an 11-inch IPS LCD Liquid Retina panel with a fairly sharp resolution and great color accuracy. The most outdated part about it is the 60Hz refresh rate, but at least this isn't the only Apple tablet stuck at such unimpressive numbers (ahem, iPad Air M3). Compared to the previous model, the 2025 base iPad has a slightly larger 7,698mAh battery. We've tested its endurance in various scenarios and think it's a great pick for iOS-loving power users. As noted in our iPad A16 review, it easily lasts over 10 hours of continuous browsing and more than seven hours of gaming.
So, what do you think? A $60 discount might not sound like much, we agree, but it's still a better-than-average savings opportunity. If you need a contemporary iPad that offers plenty of value, this might just be the one to buy.

New report reveals even more info on Google's 'official' Pixel 10 series colors

Expected out in the second half of August... after all, the Pixel 10 , Pixel 10 Pro , Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are in many ways as transparent as glass already. But some key details and characteristics are still either unknown or not completely clear, with various tipsters, for instance, clashing on things like color options. Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, Midnight - Pixel 10 ; ; Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, Smoky Green - Pixel 10 Pro ; ; Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, Smoky Green - Pixel 10 Pro XL; XL; Sterling Gray, Smoky Green - Pixel 10 Pro Fold . If that previous leak made you excited about the swanky-sounding Limoncello flavor of the "vanilla" Pixel 10 , this new rumor practically etches that shade of yellow in stone along with an Iris hue borrowed from this year's Pixel 9a mid-ranger, a Midnight paint job undoubtedly set to replace Google's signature Obsidian, and an "Ultra Blue" colorway that decidedly piques my interest with its very cool name. The Pixel 10 will share an Iris flavor with the Pixel 9a. | Image Credit -- Google Make no mistake, these are almost definitely the official marketing labels of all those color options, and according to the existing inside information, Ultra Blue is "like a royal blue" hue, Limoncello is a "mid-tone color", and Midnight comes closer to a dark gray shade than black. Obsidian (aka black) is apparently out of the equation for the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL as well, and perhaps even more surprisingly, another signature Google colorway is expected to be replaced with a lighter version. "Light Porcelain" will purportedly take a "more off-white" approach compared to the classic Porcelain paint job, while Sterling Gray is unsurprisingly set to sit at a lighter position than the aforementioned dark gray Midnight hue. Smoky Green, meanwhile, is described as a "darker green" color, apparently being one of only two flavors the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be released in at the end of August. What's certainly interesting about the Pixel 10 family is that the smallest member will feature no less than three unique colorways, which strongly suggests that Google expects that model to eclipse its bigger and costlier brothers in terms of global sales. Probably not. After all, this is not Samsung, and Google doesn't exactly have a habit of releasing limited editions of its in-house smartphones in special colors through its website. These are almost surely all the Pixel 10 , 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold paint jobs, which means that shades like Wintergreen, Peony, Rose Quartz, and Hazel are also not happening in addition to Obsidian and Porcelain. Wintergreen is just one of several Pixel 9 hues set to go away this year. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena That's a lot of change from one generation to the next, but I'm pretty certain many of you would prefer to see other specs and features revised and upgraded. While the "regular" Pixel 10 is likely to add a third telephoto sensor to the Pixel 9's dual rear-facing camera setup, the Pixel 10 Pro , 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold could more or less retain the key characteristics of their respective predecessors. Of course, a jump from a Tensor G4 to a vastly improved Tensor G5 processor is all but guaranteed for the entire Pixel 10 series, but other than that, you should probably not expect any substantial under-the-hood changes or enhancements.

The ultra-affordable Galaxy A16 5G is even cheaper on Amazon, but for a limited time

Looking for an ultra-cheap Samsung phone with 5G and an impressive six years of software support under $200? The Galaxy A16 5G is the one to consider. This bad boy is currently 13% off at Amazon, bringing its affordable ~$200 price down under the $180 mark. $25 off (13%) The entry-level Galaxy A16 5G is even cheaper on Amazon right now! The device is 13% off in both color options, making it a suitable choice for Samsung fans on an ultra-tight budget. The deal will only stay live for a limited time. Buy at Amazon Trade-in $249 99 $399 99 $150 off (38%) If you don't mind extending your budget for something way more premium, the Galaxy A36 might be the perfect fit. This model is down by up to $150 at the official Samsung Store, provided you trade in an eligible device in good condition. Buy at Samsung While this isn't the first time we've come across that sale, we haven't seen it in some time, making it a tempting choice if you missed out on previous deals. The promo is available on both color options and will only stay live for a limited off the bat, we must point out the obvious drawback of this Android phone — poor performance. Despite being more powerful than the previous-gen Galaxy A15, this fella doesn't quite deliver a smooth everyday experience. It stutters at times, which may be a dealbreaker for users on a very tight budget. If you're concerned about those performance hiccups, the pricier Galaxy A36 might be a better pick. Trading in an older device in good condition at the Samsung Store lets you save up to $150 on its regular $399.99 price. But if you're not a power user anyway, the Galaxy A16 might just be right for you. It has a good-looking 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and decent brightness level for the price. It also packs a triple rear camera system featuring a 50MP main lens, a 5MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor. In general, the device delivers mostly acceptable photos, though, as the camera samples in our Galaxy A16 5G review show, images taken with the main camera have a slightly cooler hue. What's arguably most impressive here is that Samsung has committed to a very long software support. As you probably know, many similarly-priced Motorola phones barely deliver two years of Android updates, while this device gets six years of software support. Overall, we can't deny the Galaxy A16 5G isn't the most impressive entry-level device. But it's cheap, has a decent display and camera performance, and is on sale right now. Grab yours for 13% off at Amazon and save before this limited-time promo expires.
