Fighters react to Brandon Moreno's victory Steve Erceg at UFC on ESPN 64
Brandon Moreno finally got his hand raised on home soil Saturday when he emerged victorious from the UFC on ESPN 64 main event against Steve Erceg.
After going winless in three previous fights in Mexico, Moreno (23-8-2 MMA, 11-4-2 UFC) turned his fortune with a unanimous decision victory over Erceg (12-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) in the flyweight headliner at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, giving him back-to-backs wins in pursuit of trying to reclaim UFC gold.

Harrison put her championship belt on Trump's shoulder as the crowd cheered. The UFC champ said she attributes her success to her faith in God, especially during the difficult process of cutting her weight to 135 pounds before fight night. Reflecting on her accomplishments in the sport, she emphasized how grateful she is to live in a country that gives her the chance to follow her dreams. "We are very blessed to be Americans and to live as free citizens in this great country. If I was born 90 miles south in Cuba and I did judo I would make $28 a week. So that puts it in perspective for me, and it keeps me humble and there really is no place like home."

UFC books Bellator notable Mandel Nallo vs. Cage Warriors champ Samuel Silva for DWCS MMA worlds will collide as a former Bellator knockout artist and a current Cage Warriors champion will collide this summer with a UFC contract on the line. Tristar's Mandel Nallo and Cage Warriors lightweight champion Samuel Silva are set to square off Sept. 2 on Dana White's Contender Series at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Nallo (13-3) competed eight times for Bellator from 2017 to 2023. He compiled a 4-3 record with one no contest, as the promotion struggled to find him fights. That problem continued when Nallo hit free agency in early 2023. Since then, he's 4-0 in MMA with an additional win in bareknuckle MMA. All five of those fights he finished inside the distance. Silva (13-4-1) empathically turned heads in March when he upset Cage Warriors champion George Hardwick in an epic five-round battle.
