(Video) 'Is That Malaysian Idol Saiful?': Netizens Question Singer's Gender Identity Following Viral Post
You can imagine many were surprised when one Malaysian Idol contestant went viral recently for their gender identity. Over the long weekend, TikTok user Patricia Porsild posted a video that appeared to show a karaoke session during the Gawai celebration. Although the uploader did not reveal the identity of the singer, many recognised her as Saiful Safrin from Malaysian Idol. What also made the performer's identity clear was the fact that she was heard singing her own song, 'Ku Juga Mencintai Dirimu'.
The TikTok user later confirmed that it was indeed Saiful Safrin by liking comments from netizens who had correctly guessed the singer's identity. As expected, the video went viral, with many wondering what had happened to the former Malaysian Idol contestant — and whether they had indeed transitioned.
Shortly after the clip was posted, Saiful, who reportedly now goes by Saifulina, responded to the comments they had been receiving. According to Gempak, the singer said that the backlash would eventually subside: 'Whenever I receive criticism from netizens, I just pray for the best. Everyone has their flaws; we don't know how our story ends. People will only see the bad side but refuse to acknowledge what really matters,' she stated.
She also spoke to mStar, revealing that she had been struggling with her gender identity even before competing on Malaysian Idol. This isn't the first time Saifulina has made headlines regarding her possible transition. Back in 2017, the singer clarified that she still identified as male after a photo of her went viral. It's clear that she has come a long way since then, now that she has chosen to disregard what others think of her.

(Video) Local Man Wakes Up From 5-Day Coma After Hearing Voice Note From Siti Nurhaliza
They say a singer's voice can heal the soul, but Biduanita Negara Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza's voice seems to transcend even that. Her singing has long brought joy and hope to Malaysians, but it turns out that even her speaking voice may hold extraordinary power, enough to awaken someone from a coma. A man named Aimi Nasruddin recently went viral after regaining consciousness upon hearing a voice note from the iconic singer. How did he fall into a coma, and how did Siti come to learn of his condition? Here's the full story: In an interview with mStar, Aimi Nasruddin shared that he had suffered a heart attack while on holiday in Australia with friends earlier this month. He collapsed suddenly at a beach and was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital by ambulance. Although he received immediate medical attention, he tragically slipped into a coma for 5 days. His loved ones did everything they could to get a response, but nothing seemed to work. On the 5th day, Aimi's father reached out to his son's friends, who may be an associate of Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza's team, knowing how much Aimi is a fan and that he attended the singer's concert prior to this trip to Australia. The father's efforts were not in vain, as he received a voice note from the legend herself. 'My dad told me that he got the voice note from Siti just one hour after reaching out to one of my friends,' Aimi wrote in his IG story, recalling the day he woke up. In the viral video he posted, Siti's voice can be heard offering words of comfort and prayers for her fan to wake up soon. Remarkably, while the voice note was playing, Aimi showed a physical response; his arm moved slightly upon hearing her voice. It was understood that he regained consciousness not long after. In another interview with ERA FM, Aimi shared that he has no recollection of the incident when he collapsed and only learned the whole story from his friends who were with him. It has now been over 20 days since Aimi fell into a coma, and he has since made a full recovery and is gradually returning to normal life. We're glad to hear that his health is improving, and there's no doubt his loved ones are deeply grateful that Siti Nurhaliza played a role in his remarkable recovery. #NSTviral: Brothers crash wedding and leave with full hearts [WATCH]
KUALA LUMPUR: What began as an impromptu stop turned into a heartwarming reminder of Malaysian warmth and unity, when two brothers were welcomed as guests at a stranger's wedding. While en route to Seremban, Negri Sembilan, brothers Devaraj David and Devadass David noticed a Malay wedding taking place nearby and decided to stop to have a look. Without an invitation and knowing no one at the event, they stood tentatively at the entrance. To their surprise, a man stationed at the gate welcomed them without hesitation and invited them to join the feast. A relative of the bride and groom later approached the brothers and asked if they were related to anyone at the celebration. "We actually don't know anyone here. We were just passing by and saw the celebration," Devaraj replied. The relative then asked why they weren't eating, to which the brothers laughed, saying that the warm welcome had already filled their hearts. "I came in uninvited, and yet everyone welcomed us. That alone made us feel full," said Devaraj. In the video, he also admitted he had initially been worried they would be asked to leave the wedding. "I thought someone might punch me. But instead, everyone welcomed us with open arms," he said. Before departing, the brothers met the bride and groom, offered their blessings, and even requested a Tamil song to be played in honour of the couple. "The song is a wish for them to live happily together for a hundred years. "We came uninvited, but we left with full hearts, feeling loved and like part of the family." The touching encounter has resonated deeply with Malaysians online, with the video garnering over 1.3 million views and 101,800 likes on TikTok at the time of writing. Netizens described the moment as a beautiful reflection of unity in diversity, and a testament to the everyday kindness that continues to define the Malaysian spirit.
