Donald Trump joins Chelsea on stage as they celebrate their Club World Cup win
Cole Palmer scored twice and set up another as the Blues stunned favourites Paris St Germain 3-0 in front of Trump in the final in New York.
Trump, who was briefly booed by some of the 81,118 crowd at the MetLife Stadium, then presented Chelsea with the trophy alongside Gianni Infantino, president of world governing body FIFA, after the game.

After handing the silverware to Chelsea captain Reece James, Trump was then invited to move out of the way by Infantino.
However, he remained in position as James lifted the trophy and the team began their celebrations amid fireworks and confetti.
Chelsea's victory, the culmination of FIFA's newly-expanded 32-team tournament, also earned them a jackpot in excess of £90million.
Trump earlier said he had enjoyed the occasion, telling broadcaster DAZN at half-time: 'I am having a really great time. Tremendous sport.'
In a longer recorded interview broadcast after the final whistle, the president, who revealed his favourite player of all time was Pele, added when asked about the tournament: 'It's a big thing.
'Gianni is a friend of mine, he's done such a great job with the league and with soccer – or as they would call it 'football', but I guess we call it soccer. But I'm sure that change could be made very easily.
'But it's great to watch – and this is a little bit of an upset that we're watching today, isn't it? So far. It's incredible.'
When it was suggested he could make an executive order to rename the sport, Trump said with a smile: 'I think we could do that, I think I could do that.'
The US leader was also asked if he could see a day when the United States, which will co-host the men's World Cup along with Canada and Mexico next summer, could dominate in football, and he replied: 'I can tell you we're doing very well on the other stage, on the political stage, on the final stage.
'I was just in Saudi Arabia, I was in Qatar, I was in UAE – here we have Qatar and the big presence – and then you look at NATO. All of the leaders said, 'A year ago, your country was dead and now you have the hottest country in the world'. There's a lot of truth in that.
'We were doing very badly as a country. We had an incompetent administration and now we have a hot country. It's really hot and I think the soccer is going to be very hot here too.
'It already is. It's gotten a lot of play and with the play comes the great players, and I think it will do very well.'

Ukraine-Russia war latest: Trump threatens Putin with ‘severe tariffs' as he pledges Patriot missiles for Kyiv
Donald Trump has once again expressed his disappointment with Russian president Vladimir Putin and announced 100 per cent sanctions on Russia as he pledged more weapons for Ukraine, including 17 Patriot missiles which Kyiv has urgently sought. "We're going to be doing secondary tariffs," the US president said, announcing sanctions on countries who trade with Moscow. "If we don't have a deal in 50 days, it's very simple, and they'll be at 100 per cent,' the US president said, adding that he was disappointed in Mr Putin. Mr Trump announced that billions of dollars of US weapons would go to Ukraine, and said: "We're going to make top-of-the-line weapons, and they'll be sent to Nato.' "We have one country that has 17 Patriots getting ready to be shipped... we're going to work a deal where the 17 will go or a big portion of the 17 will go to the war site,' he said, adding that some will 'come very soon, within days'. Mr Trump has grown increasingly disenchanted with Mr Putin after he resisted Washington's attempts to negotiate a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

Arsenal make third transfer breakthrough in days as agent arrives in London
Arsenal could soon see their confirmed transfer increase from six signings to nine as the Gunners progress with moves for Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres and agree another deal Arsenal have already completed three transfers this summer and look set to quickly build upon that in the coming days. Sporting director Andrea Berta has been hard at work in his first window in charge in north London. The Gunners first signed Kepa Arrizabalaga in a £5million deal before making a landmark signing by adding Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Christian Norgaard then followed from Brentford as Mikel Arteta's squad takes shape ahead of the new season. But the work is not yet complete. Arsenal agreed another deal with Chelsea and are now preparing to confirm the signing of Noni Madueke. And the Premier League runners-up finally look to be on the verge of landing a strike for Arteta to work with. Viktor Gyokeres' move from Sporting CP looks set to take place in the coming days after a breakthrough. Mirror Football takes a look at the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates. Madueke unveiling Noni Madueke will be announced as an Arsenal player on Tuesday. Reports claim that the ex-PSV winger has completed his medical and the paperwork has been signed after the England international flew back from the Club World Cup to seal a deal. The Gunners are set to pay £52m to Chelsea for his signature as their forward line is firmly reinforced. Madueke joins on a five-year deal. Gyokeres agents in London Progress continues over Viktor Gyokeres' move to Arsenal after the Gunners agreed terms with Sporting on Sunday evening. The breakthrough is said to have occurred after the Swede's agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, waived part of his fee so the north London team would meet demands of £55m up front with a further £8.6m in guaranteed add-ons, ensuring a deal worth £63.6m. Now Cetinkaya is claimed to be in London to seal the final details of the move to Arsenal. Once they are resolved, Gyokeres will be permitted to make the same trip to undergo his medical. Another deal agreed The transfers just don't stop. Arsenal are now reported to have made a breakthrough in negotiations for Valencia defender Christian Mosquera. A verbal agreement is reported to have been made over a package worth €15m (£13m) plus add-ons. Mosquera's only intention was to join Arsenal and is noted to have a long-term deal in place at the Emirates. The Gunners eyed the La Liga star across the summer but saw complications over agreeing a fee but that now appears to have been resolved. The player could be confirmed as Arsenal's newest signing later this week. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. TOKYO, July 15 (Reuters) - Asian shares climbed and the dollar held gains on Tuesday as trade talks remained in the spotlight in a week that will see key readings on U.S. inflation and bank earnings. Oil prices edged lower after U.S. President Donald Trump issued a 50-day deadline for Russia to end the war in Ukraine to avoid energy sanctions. Japanese government bonds yields jumped to multi-decade high as a critical upper house election neared. Trump signalled he was open to discussions on tariffs after his weekend threat to impose 30% duties on the European Union and Mexico from August 1. Japan is reportedly trying to schedule high-level talks with the U.S. this Friday. Market reaction to the tariff uncertainty has been rather benign, making earnings in the United States this week all the more important for cues, said National Australia Bank strategist Rodrigo Catril. "It'll be interesting to see what companies are saying, in particular in terms of the forward-looking outlook, in terms of where they see the next quarter, how they see their margins, are they going to get squeezed, or are they planning to pass it on," Catril said in a NAB podcast. "I think that this idea of complacency is also because we're not quite sure how this whole thing is going to play out," he added. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan (.MIAPJ0000PUS), opens new tab was up 0.4%, after U.S. stocks ended the previous session with meagre gains. Japan's Nikkei (.N225), opens new tab gauge added 0.2%. The EU accused the U.S. of resisting efforts to strike a trade deal and warned of countermeasures if no agreement is reached. Trump said he was open to further discussions with the EU and other trading partners. Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is arranging to meet U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in Tokyo on Friday, the Yomiuri newspaper reported, ahead of an August 1 deadline before 25% tariffs are due to take effect. Ishiba also has an election to contend with on Sunday, with polls showing his ruling coalition may lose their majority in the upper house to political opponents who are advocating for expansive spending. The benchmark 10-year JGB yield jumped to 1.595%, highest since October 2008, while the 30-year yield hit an all-time high of 3.195%. Meanwhile, the U.S. earnings season is set to begin on Tuesday, with second-quarter reports from major banks. S&P 500 profits are expected to rise 5.8% year-over-year, according to LSEG data. The outlook has dimmed sharply since the early April forecast of 10.2% growth, before Trump launched his trade war. Investors are also waiting for U.S. consumer price data for June, due on Tuesday, and will monitor for any upward pressure on prices from tariffs. The dollar was little changed at 147.71 yen after touching a three-week high. The euro was flat at $1.1672. U.S. crude dipped 0.3% to $66.80 a barrel.
