Trevon Diggs expects to return to the field by September
Diggs, thought, always had the season opener circled on his calendar.
He might not make it back by Sept. 4 for the first game against the Eagles, but Diggs is ahead of schedule in his rehab and hopes to be on the field sometime in September.
Diggs told Clarence Hill of All City DLLS he will not need to be placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, which would keep him out at least four games. He missed six games with his knee injury last season.
The Cowboys docked Diggs $500,000 for not rehabbing at the team facility enough, but he credits his team in South Florida for getting him back quicker than expected.
The two-time Pro Bowler tore the anterior cruciate ligament in the same knee during a Week 3 practice in 2023.

They could absolutely use him and have the money to make it happen. Which is probably why Bovada has the Raiders leading the odds to land him. This offseason the Raiders made Maxx Crosby the league's highest paid non-QB on a three-year extension. They also re-signed Malcolm Koonce to a one-year deal to start on the other side. But other than those two, they don't have much. And Koonce, though he earned the starting job last season before he was injured still has to prove he can do be the long term answer across from Crosby. Though Parsons said in his farewell/trade demand that he went to the Cowboys several times ahead of other edge rushers getting their deals and didn't care if that meant he was leaving money on the table. But that doesn't mean he would take a deal for less than them now. So, if the Raiders did somehow swing a deal to get Parsons to Las Vegas, it's possible they would be making two edge rushers the richest at their position in the same offseason. That would be something.

Cowboys take stance following Micah Parsons' trade demand
Micah Parsons has made his desire to be traded from the Cowboys abundantly clear, but the team's front office has no plans to make that wish come true. Shortly after Parsons announced his trade request with a lengthy statement on X Friday, The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that the Cowboys have 'no intention' to trade the superstar defensive end. 'But when my agent reached out and spoke to (ESPN's) Adam (Schefter) he was told the deal was pretty much already done. My agent of course told him that wasn't the case and also reached out to Stephen Jones. Again the team decided to go silent.' The Cowboys open the season on the road against the Eagles on Sept. 4.

Micah Parsons' dad once named Chiefs, Steelers, Lions as preferred trade destinations
With Micah Parsons officially requesting a trade from the Dallas Cowboys, an old clip of his father, Terrence Parsons, talking about preferred destinations for his son in a hypothetical trade scenario has resurfaced. During an appearance on the "Life in the Stands" podcast in December 2024, Parsons' dad stated that his preferred trade landing spots for the superstar edge rusher are the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Detroit Lions. "I know Pittsburgh fans are like, 'whoa,' but I'm sorry, him [Micah Parsons] and [T.J.] Watt together would be like cheating," Terrence Parsons said. "Him and [Aidan] Hutchinson together in Detroit would be like cheating. I love it. Kansas City, that's who they are right now." Parsons requested a trade out of Dallas due to the franchise's lack of communication with his agent. The 26-year-old's relationship with the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones seems to be completely destroyed. Dallas has no plans of trading Parsons, but if they can't agree on a long-term extension with him, they may be forced to move him at some point. Parsons' father's landing spots for the four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher are bold. Adding Parsons to Kansas City's defense would be lethal, while pairing the disgruntled Cowboy with Watt or Hutchinson in Detroit would also be pretty much unstoppable. However, none of the teams Parsons' dad listed as preferred spots have the money to sign Parsons to a record-breaking extension. The Chiefs are slated to have negative $61 million in cap space next offseason, and the Steelers already have two expensive edge rushers in Watt and Alex Highsmith. As for the Lions, the team must prioritize getting an extension done with Hutchinson first, which likely takes them out of the running for Parsons. It's possible that Parsons lands with one of three destinations his dad spoke about during a podcast appearance last year, as all three franchises are playoff contenders, and two are legitimate Super Bowl contenders in Kansas City and Detroit. However, it remains to be seen whether any have the money to sign Parsons to a new deal after trading valuable picks for him while also keeping their core together.
