Veteran Actor Prem Chopra Praises Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, Calls It 'Fantastic'

Last Updated: In a recent video message, Prem Chopra expressed his love for both the film and Aamir's choice Veteran actor Prem Chopra has praised Aamir Khan's latest film Sitaare Zameen Par and called it 'absolutely fantastic". He also lauded the superstar for his courage and creative vision. In a recent video message, Prem Chopra expressed his love for both the film and Aamir's choice to tackle such a unique subject. Taking to their Instagram stories, Aamir Khan Productions shared Prem Chopra's video, 'Aamir just saw Sitaare Zameen Par and I am so much proud of you. Absolutely fantastic. Nobody could have the guts to make a film like this. And the voice and the sound on Youtube is so superb. The whole thing we could see so clearly and understand it. … I wish all the best. Take care and god bless you Aamir. You are great guy." Days after Aamir Khan's latest film Sitaare Zameen Par was released on YouTube with a pay-per-view option, it was reported that Apple device users can access it only after paying Rs 179. However, Aamir Khan has now clarified that the issue is due to a glitch and that his team is working to resolve it on an immediate basis. While Aamir Khan is not on social media, his production house, Aamir Khan productions, recently took to its official X handle and clarified on the issue. 'Our sincere apologies. We just became aware that the cost to rent our film Sitaare Zameen Par is reflecting as ₹179 on Apple devices. We are trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding," it wrote. Aamir Khan has sparked a conversation around cinema affordability with the YouTube release of his much-anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par. Recently, the actor-producer expressed concern over the rising cost of moviegoing and shared his vision to make films more accessible to the masses through his official YouTube channel. The investment in them was very high, so the prices of tickets and eatables also increased. Just like when you go to a five-star hotel, the same things that you'd get elsewhere for a much lower price cost a lot more there because it offers many more facilities and a five-star environment." He added, 'Similarly, multiplexes have now become quite elite. Unless you have a certain level of economic earnings, you simply can't afford to go there." Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, along with 10 rising stars. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is written By Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with Ravi Bhagchandka as the producer. First Published: August 05, 2025, 15:38 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Inside Aamir Khan's Weight Loss Journey: How The Actor Lost Over 25 Kg In 5 Months

Aamir Khan is a perfectionist who consistently goes the extra mile to prove his mettle. Whether it's for his movie Ghajini or Dangal, the Bollywood superstar has stunned audiences time and again with his fitness journey. For his 2016 blockbuster movie Dangal, Aamir Khan's weight loss transformation remains one of the most talked about among fans. Known for his intense dedication, the 60-year-old actor underwent a jaw-dropping physical transformation - gaining and then losing around 25 kg - to portray Indian wrestling champion Mahavir Singh Phogat at different stages of his life. To reflect the character's physical journey from a prime wrestler to a middle-aged father, Aamir requested director Nitesh Tiwari to shoot the ageing father portion first. That way, he could get fitter as the filming progressed. Rather than wearing a bodysuit to appear heavier for his role, Aamir Khan wanted to gain weight naturally believing he wouldn't be doing justice to the role otherwise. "Putting on the weight was fun. I could eat whatever I wanted and had a ball," he admitted. "But it was most uncomfortable, even my wrestling training was affected. I was carrying so much weight that I couldn't move faster. Your breathing changes when you put on weight, your body language changes, the way you walk, the way you sit... everything changes." Aamir Khan's Dramatic Weight Loss Transformation Weighing nearly 97 kg with 38% body fat at his heaviest, Aamir later shed around 25 kg, bringing his body fat down to 9.6%. The transformation was difficult, and even Aamir doubted himself initially: "I had negative thoughts about not being able to achieve my weight loss goals... but I didn't let them pull me down. I took it one day at a time and not think about the result." Aamir Khan followed a rigorous fitness regime involving strength training, functional workouts, and cardio, along with a strict, calorie-deficit diet. "Diet is number one," he said. "If your diet isn't right, you will not see results - no matter how much you exercise." The PK actor's trainers recalled Aamir Khan asking to stop workouts, doubting his limits. While they agreed to him, they did not reduce weight or made the exercise easy, which helped the actor push through - and ultimately succeed. Director Nitesh Tiwari praised Aamir's dedication. By the end of filming, Aamir himself was proud of the results. "Once you start, you slowly see your body transform," said Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan's weight loss journey is an example that you need to keep going even when you feel demotivated. His weight loss journey stands as a reminder that motivation may fade but discipline and consistency will give you results.
