However, shutting down the buzz with clarity, the 22-year-old actor told India Forums, 'After all, it is just gossip at the end of the day. I am not getting engaged."
Apart from the rumour mill, Reem has also been making waves for opening up about her personal journey and the emotional turmoil she's experienced behind the scenes. In a deeply honest conversation with Nayandeep Rakshit on his podcast, Reem spoke about growing up in a turbulent household and the scars it left on her early years. She described herself as a 'Taare Zameen Par child," someone who appeared arrogant to the world when in truth, she was just a painfully shy and anxious young girl.
'A lot of it has to do with what I felt at home. I have seen extreme violence. When your home is loud and angry, you don't know where to find your corner. You become that child who is scared and quiet. For me, just speaking to anyone took so much courage. It's been such a fight," she shared.
Reem further revealed that her parents got divorced nearly four years ago, a turning point that forced her to confront adulthood earlier than expected. 'Overnight, I became an adult," she said, reflecting on how the separation helped her gain clarity about the dysfunctional environment she had grown up in.
Despite these challenges, Reem has found her footing and continues to shine in the entertainment industry. Currently, she is appearing in Laughter Chefs Season 2, a cooking-based reality show where she is paired with actor Aly Goni. With growing maturity, transparency, and professional poise, Reem Shaikh is not just shaping her career but also inspiring many by owning her truth with grace.

'Well, I'm not considering it a comeback film, quite honestly," Aamir told us exclusively. 'My films usually come out once in three years anyway. A lot of actors have 8 to 10 flops, but we don't call those comebacks, do we? I've had just one flop, and you're calling it a comeback? I haven't gone anywhere," he added. Talking about what drew him to Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir explained that the story felt like a natural continuation of the message his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par tried to deliver. 'The script felt like an extension of what we were trying to say in Taare. That film was about inclusion, about a child with a learning disability. But in Sitaare, the challenge is even greater. It deals with individuals who have intellectual disabilities—children on the autism spectrum, with Down syndrome—who are much more atypical compared to dyslexia. And what's even more beautiful is that this time, it's not the neurotypical person helping them, but the other way around. The neurodivergent kids help the coach. That's why I feel this film goes ten steps ahead in the same theme." Aamir added that the story resonated deeply with him, so much so that it felt like a 'spiritual sequel" to Taare Zameen Par, which is why the makers settled on the title Sitaare Zameen Par. Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy drama film directed by R. S. Prasanna, and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. A spiritual successor to Khan's 2007 film Taare Zameen Par, it stars Khan and Genelia Deshmukh. It is a remake of the Spanish film Champions.
