Owners Alisha Bergsten and Brian Johnson said they're excited bring fresh options to the community.
'Dayton Street Snacks is all about fun times and tasty food,' said Johnson. 'We have been having a lot of fun coming up with our starting menu full of snacks and entrees. We can't wait for people to try everything.'
Johnson said their rotating menu will be eclectic.
'Our starting menu is full of both traditional and off-the-wall menu items like omelets, cheddar bae biscuit sliders, wings, cinnamon rolls on a stick, and more,' said Johnson. 'The menu will probably rotate quite a bit this year as we experiment and try new items out.'
This debut will be durning the art studio's First Friday and ARTebration events.
'We're incredibly grateful to Richard and Samantha at Front Street Studios for inviting us to host our grand opening as part of their big weekend of events,' Johnson said. 'We can't wait to be set up next to a group of our fellow food trucks all day long on Saturday during the Brunch Food Truck Rally and Mural Fest. It will be great to start building our customer base and community with so much creativity around us.'

1st woman to skateboard across US raises $50K for spinal cord injury research

Brooke Johnson has made history as the first woman to skateboard across the U.S. The 29-year-old kicked off her journey at the beach in Santa Monica, California, and after 119 days and 3,266 miles, she completed the historic feat in Virginia Beach on Friday. Johnson set out on the grueling adventure to raise money for Wings for Life, a nonprofit spinal cord research foundation, in honor of her late stepfather Roger, who she said broke his C5 vertebrae, became a quadriplegic and died of the spinal cord injury last year. From inclement weather to tough terrain and holes in her shoes, Johnson persevered through every obstacle, raising $50,000 while setting the new world record. Johnson told ABC Norfolk station WVEC that her late stepfather's presence helped motivate her along the way. "He's, like, supported me through this whole thing -- it's actually crazy," she said. Prior to his death, Johnson said the pair's hope was to skate across the finish line with Johnson pushing her stepfather in his wheelchair. "I was like, 'Roger it's a really big country.' And he was like, 'Well, you can do it,'" Johnson said. Johnson was wearing a heart-shaped necklace with Roger's ashes inside when she crossed the Red Bull finish line on Friday. "Roger left me purpose, and for that I thank him every single day," she said. Johnson shared a recap of the journey on her Instagram page Saturday. The video montage was set to an old voicemail left by her stepfather, which she said "was one of those messages that felt like he left it for the present moment." "If there's one thing you take away from this trip, it's that you can truly do anything you put your mind to," she wrote in the caption.

We Finally Know When Guillermo del Toro's ‘Frankenstein' Will Hit Theaters and Netflix

It takes a very special Netflix movie to get a theatrical release before hitting the streamer, and Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is certainly that. Netflix just announced it'll release the monster movie in select theaters on October 17 before debuting on the platform November 7. Now, there's no word yet on just how 'select' the 'select theaters' will be. Is it two screens? Is it 2,000? If we look back at Rian Johnson's Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, another major film to get a similar treatment, we can make an educated guess, though. That film debuted in about 600 theaters across North America. This could be more, it could be less, but either way, that's still about five times less than a traditional wide release. What that means for you is that the film probably won't only play in major metropolitan areas, but it probably also won't be at every theater in the neighborhood. We'd suggest checking your local theaters in the next month or so as we get closer to the date. To commemorate the news, Netflix also released two teaser posters, one that features Oscar Isaac's iconic Dr. Frankenstein and the other giving us our best look yet at the menacing form of Frankenstein's monster, played by Jacob Elordi. 'Only Monsters Play God' is such a good tagline and obviously speaks to the familiar story of the film. It follows 'a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.' Mia Goth co-stars as Frankenstein's soon-to-be sister-in-law, who draws the eye of both him and his monster. Multiple Oscar winner Christoph Waltz plays an arms dealer. Felix Kammerer plays Frankenstein's brother and Goth's fiancé, and Christian Convery, best known for his work on Sweet Tooth, is young Frankenstein (no, not that one). This is a story that del Toro has been dreaming about adapting his entire life, and with each passing day, we get increasingly excited to see just how good this movie can be. Are we talking Best Picture nominee? Now we know we'll find out very, very soon. Want more io9 news? Man with ‘world's largest willy' slips, breaks arm in shower because giant penis got in the way: ‘It was a very embarrassing accident'

Being well-endowed isn't all it's cracked up to be. We've heard of people whose mammoth members have injured their partners. However, a UK man with the world's largest Johnson reportedly hurt himself after slipping and breaking his arm in the shower because his titanic tallywacker got in his way. 'It was a very embarrassing accident,' Matt Barr told Jam Press of the phallus-induced injury. Jam Press/Matt Barr The AI specialist frequently goes viral for his enormous unit, which, at 14.5 inches long, is reportedly the 'biggest medically proven penis in the world.' Barr even has a cast of his jumbo Johnson at the Phallological Museum in Iceland. A preternaturally big penis might sound like a blessing, but there are myriad downsides, including struggling to get dressed, feeling faint while erect and bizarre propositions, which he details in his book, 'A Long Story: Life With One Of The World's Largest Penises.' Advertisement It can even be quite dangerous, as Barr recently discovered during a disastrous trip to the shower. 'One of the issues with being so large, especially in hot water showers, is that it's not exactly easy to see my feet,' the London resident recalled. 'As I was rushing to get ready for work, I didn't see the excess shower gel in the tub because my penis was the only thing in my eye line.' 4 'I've had close calls or minor falls before, but never anything this severe,' said Barr, describing the accident Jam Press/Matt Barr He explained, 'I slipped on it, causing me to fall out of the tub completely headfirst and crack my shoulder on the hard floor.' Advertisement Shlong story short, the well-endowed Brit sustained 'two fractures,' which left him in excruciating pain and forced him to wear a sling. 'I've had close calls or minor falls before, but never anything this severe,' said Barr while reflecting on the accident. 'Usually, it's just been when I've had a partner in the shower with me.' He added, 'I've always been anxious about going into public showers because of the reactions I get, but now I'm a bit scared of private ones, too. 4 The well-endowed Brit sustained 'two fractures,' which left him in excruciating pain and forced him to wear a sling. Jam Press/Matt Barr Advertisement To help prevent future falls, Barr has resolved to 'shower less quickly.' He also bought a bathmat so he's less likely to lose his footing even with his penis obstructing his view. 'This is one of the many minor things no one thinks about when it comes to having an abnormal body,' lamented Barr, who has since healed from his injury. 'While I'm naturally clumsy, it doesn't help that I have a different anatomy to most – especially such a large one.' Prior to the accident, the Brit had hoped to embark on a seaside getaway — but decided to cancel after the fall. However, that may not be a bad decision given previous embarrassing seaside ordeals that Barr has experienced as a result of his behemoth bulge. The AI expert recalled one embarrassing incident at a resort, where the manager asked him to leave the pool area because of the mammoth outline in his trunks. It was reportedly visible despite the fact that he was wearing dark board shorts with compression shorts underneath to prevent said impromptu peep show. 'I won't go on a standard package holiday or in an all-inclusive resort hotel pool, but it's helped me to look further afield and find quieter locations,' he said. 'It's not really such a big deal, though. Just another thing I'm unable to do.' Advertisement 4 A plaster cast of Barr's massive phallus at the Phallological Museum in Iceland. Jam Press The issues aren't just physical either, according to Barr, who says he's received some bizarre propositions. He recalled one bizarre instance where a guy asked to draw him in 'cartoon form as a giant and do all this sex giant sex stuff' — a fetish known as macrophilia. Due to his age, the Brit says he has no plans to cash in on his awe-inspiring anatomy via OnlyFans, as he might have were he half his age, explaining: 'I'm sure if I was 20 years younger, I would have [because] I'd be more focused on making sure my parents were all good, I'd be in the gym constantly, all these things.'
