Police looking for SUV in connection with hit-and-run in Manchester, NH
Police are searching for an SUV in connection with a hit-and-run that left a man lying unconscious in the middle of a New Hampshire roadway.
Manchester Police responded to a report of an unconscious male lying in the roadway at the intersection of Hall and Lowell Streets shortly before noon on Tuesday.
Police found the 20-year-old male bleeding from the head.
An initial investigation determined that the man was hit by a vehicle while trying to cross the intersection.
Surveillance footage from the scene showed a silver 2013–2016 Ford Escape driving southbound on Hall Street shortly before the injured man was found.
Police say they do not know if the vehicle was directly involved in the accident, but are looking to identify the Ford Escape.

Guatemalan national indicted after federal agent seriously injured in Rhode Island, US Attorney says
A federal grand jury has indicted a Guatemalan national after a Homeland Security agent suffered a serious injury while trying to arrest him on a warrant in April, the U.S. Attorney said. Miguel Tamup-Tamup, a/k/a Miguel US Tamup, 28, who was previously deported and is in the U.S. illegally, is charged with two counts of assaulting, resisting, opposing, impeding, or interfering with federal officers engaged in official duties, Acting U.S. Attorney Sara Miron Bloom said in a statement on Thursday. Federal authorities arrested Tamup-Tamup on May 16 at a home in Providence. He has been detained since making an initial appearance in federal court on that day. On April 30, a Homeland Security Investigations agent suffered a serious leg injury during an encounter with Tamup-Tamup, who fled authorities that day after he was previously arrested after a DUI crash, Miron Bloom said. On April 19, police arrested Tamup-Tamup for driving under the influence after his car allegedly collided with another vehicle, prosecutors said. He was subsequently arraigned and released. His fingerprints matched ICE fingerprint records associated with a person flagged as being in the United States illegally. On April 30, an ICE deportation officer and Homeland Security Investigations agents stopped a car that Tamup-Tamup was driving, Miron Bloom said. They tried to apprehend him on an arrest warrant. After he refused to get out of his car, Tamup-Tamup was guided out of the vehicle, prosecutors said. While the agents tried to place Tamup-Tamup in handcuffs, he 'allegedly resisted, threw his upper body and shoulders against the agents, flailed his arms, and broke an agent's hold,' Miron Bloom said. One of the agents fell to the ground and suffered a serious leg injury, Miron Bloom said. Tamup-Tamup ran away from law enforcement as others were helping the injured agent. Two children seriously injured after being struck by car in NH, police say
Police blocked off several roadways on Thursday afternoon after two children were struck by a car. Authorities say the collision happened on Belmont Street. The two juvenile victims were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. It's unclear if the driver remained at the scene or if they will face charges. Belmont at Hanover and Belmont from Lake Avenue to Spruce Street are closed to traffic. All motorists are being asked to avoid the area. The incident remains under investigation. Ohio man gets 6 ½ years for confrontation with cops at Highland Kohl's
An Ohio man was sentenced to 6 ½ years Thursday for a confrontation with the cops at the Highland Kohl's. Jomo Wilson, 57, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, pleaded guilty May 16 to aggravated battery. He was originally charged with attempted murder — when he tried to back up to leave, he dragged a police officer with him. Another officer shot into the car, wounding Wilson in his arm and hand. The case was too 'heavily charged' — or overcharged — leading to the plea deal, his defense lawyer John Cantrell said. He later added that police technically couldn't prove Wilson shoplifted that day, just that they suspected he had previously. Deputy Prosecutor Keith Anderson asked a judge to accept the plea. Wilson apologized, saying the situation quickly 'got out of hand' while noting, 'I also got hurt.' 'At some point, you are going to die in prison,' Judge Salvador Vasquez told Wilson. 'Stop screwing your life up.' Highland Police arrived at Kohl's, in the Highland Grove shopping center, at 2:17 p.m. Feb. 17, 2023. The store's Loss Prevention Officer called the police after he spotted Wilson leaving with an unpaid cart. Wilson had shoplifted there at least five times before, the man told police. As the police ordered him to stop, Wilson jumped in the driver's seat of a rental car. When they tried to arrest Wilson, he put the 2022 silver Ford Escape in reverse, dragging Cpl. Michael Yonkman, which pinned him against another car. Officer Kade Sapp opened fire through the windshield, hitting Wilson in the right hand, who crashed the car before he was arrested, charges show. The Loss Prevention Officer said he heard 'multiple gunshots.'
