Akashvani Srinagar launches audio studio dedicated to Amarnath Yatra
According to a statement issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the new facility has been set up to provide seamless and high-quality broadcast services to the 'yatris' (pilgrims) and listeners across the globe during the Yatra period.
Srinagar, Jul 2 (PTI) Akashvani Srinagar inaugurated a state-of-the-art audio studio on Wednesday dedicated exclusively to the special transmission of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY).
Singh termed the newly launched studio a 'technological leap' in pilgrimage broadcasting. The studio has been equipped with the latest audio technologies to ensure seamless and uninterrupted transmission for the benefit of the yatris and stakeholders. 'Our aim is to make the broadcast accessible not only on the ground but also globally,' he said.
Singh said the broadcasts for SANJY 2025 will be available across several platforms, including 103.7 MHz FM, WAVES OTT Platform, DTH services, NewsonAir Android & iOS App, and Akashvani Aradhana Channel.
Additionally, two special transmitters have been installed at Baltal and Pahalgam to ensure uninterrupted coverage along the trekking routes to the Holy Cave even in remote and high-altitude areas, he added.
The special transmission will include devotional music, daily reports from all base camps and Yatra routes, special interviews, features, segments and informative capsules, Singh said. PTI MIJ KSS KSS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kolkata on Friday, August 22, to inaugurate and lay the foundation of projects worth ₹ 5,200 crore, including three new metro stretches and an elevated corridor in Howrah, said officials. With the additions, Kolkata Metro, will for the first time in its 41-year journey directly connect the airport with the rest of the city. PM Modi will also take a metro ride from Jessore Road metro station to Jai Hind Bimanbandar station (Airport metro station) and back, reported PTI, citing a Kolkata Metro Railway spokesperson. Prime Minister Modi will inagurate the new Metro stretches around 4;15 pm on Friday. These metro routes which connect some of Kolkata's busiest areas, will bring notable reduction in travel time, and strengthen multimodal connectivity, benefiting lakhs of daily commuters, said officials. Taken together, all the three metro new corridors will add 366 train services daily and raise Kolkata Metro's carrying capacity to nearly 9.15 lakh passengers every day, reported PTI.
