Sky's Angel Reese, Sparks' Rickea Jackson get into shoving match during game
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and Los Angeles Sparks player Rickea Jackson got into a shoving match during their game on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred in the first quarter of their game. Jackson and Sky player Rebecca Allen got tied up going for the loose ball. Jackson and Allen exchanged words when Reese pulled Allen away from the scrum. The WNBA referee called a double technical foul on Jackson and Allen.
As the two continued to jaw at each other, Reese stepped in and pushed Jackson away from her teammate, resulting in the Sparks' second-year player pushing back.
Sparks star Kelsey Plum stepped in to break up the scrum. Coaches and players from both teams then came onto the floor to stop the incident from escalating further.
It appeared cooler heads would prevail. Reese and Jackson were seen hugging each other once the game was over.
Chicago won the game, 97-86, as Reese finished with a double-double. She had 18 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Kamilla Cardoso led Chicago with 27 points and seven rebounds.
Azura Stevens had 21 points for the Sparks with Plum scoring 20. Jackson notched 11 points.
The Sky improved to 4-10 on the season and the Sparks fell to 4-11.

Dallas Cowboys to return to Oxnard, California for training camp July 22
America's Team is headed back to Oxnard, California for training camp from July 22 through August 13. This year's camp will mark the 46th year the team has trained in Southern California and the 19th season they have spent camp at the Oxnard location. Apple Sports App Gets Tennis and More Updates
Apple continues to expand its sports offerings for mobile users. On Wednesday, the company announced new updates to the Apple Sports app that include a revamped home screen and the addition of tennis ahead of the Wimbledon championships. All the changes were launched on the app today. This tennis season, you can check out live scores (or from past tournament rounds) for men's and women's matches. Apple Sports will allow you to track points and player advancement throughout events like Grand Slam or Wimbledon. Though the app doesn't currently offer the ability to follow individual players, tournament information can be showcased on the home display if you add and customize the tennis options. Sports fans will notice that the home screen is now organized by whichever leagues you keep up with. For example, if you follow MLB, you'll see a more personalized display for your favorite teams, with game stats for yesterday, today, and information for any upcoming events. If you're following multiple sports and leagues, -- including tennis -- you can re-order which ones show up first on your screen and the app will adapt to your preferences.
