Killed While Sleeping: Israeli Forces Execute Palestinian Teen in Qalqilya
Witnesses reported that heavily armed Israeli soldiers broke down the door of the family home before opening fire on the unarmed youth inside his bedroom. Al-Sada, described as the youngest son in his family and a street vendor who operated a small stall in the village, was left bleeding on the ground. Soldiers reportedly prevented medical assistance from reaching him and later seized his body.
The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that Israeli forces withheld the body before eventually being handed over to their crews at the entrance to the village.
The killing of Al-Sada comes amid a broader escalation of Israeli military operations and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank, which have intensified in parallel with the ongoing war in Gaza.
On Tuesday evening, Israeli forces injured a Palestinian youth and a 60-year-old woman and arrested two others in separate raids and settler attacks in several areas of the West Bank.
In the town of Zita, north of Tulkarem, local sources reported that occupation forces raided homes, vandalized property, and beat 19-year-old Sharar Abu al-Ezz, leaving him with injuries and bruises. Another youth, Mohammed al-Tayeh, was arrested during the same raid. Soldiers reportedly seized a home in the town and turned it into a military post, launching drones and detaining several residents.
Further west in the town of Deir Ballut near Salfit, Israeli forces bulldozed agricultural land, closed three secondary roads, and destroyed a small agricultural room. A separate raid was carried out in Azzun, east of Qalqilya.
In the central West Bank, settlers set fire to agricultural lands in the village of Al-Mughayyar, northeast of Ramallah. The attack was followed by the arrival of Israeli soldiers who provided cover for the settlers and prevented Palestinian residents from approaching the area.
In the south, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams treated a 60-year-old woman who was assaulted by settlers in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron. Meanwhile, Israeli forces stormed the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron, although no arrests or injuries were reported there.
According to the latest Palestinian data, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 970 Palestinians in the West Bank since the beginning of the Gaza war. More than 7,000 others have been wounded, and over 17,000 arrested in a systematic campaign of repression targeting Palestinian communities across the occupied territory.

Red Cross: Israel's Gaza Assault Defies All Legal and Moral Standards
DaysofPal – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has sounded the alarm over Israel's intensified military operations in Gaza, warning that the humanitarian crisis is reaching new depths. 'What we are seeing in Gaza goes beyond any acceptable legal or moral standards,' the ICRC said in a statement on Thursday. 'Whether civilians are forced to leave or remain, they must be protected from the dangers of hostilities.' Christian Cardon, the ICRC's chief spokesman, stressed that Israel's push to seize Gaza City would mean 'more killing, more displacement, more destruction, and more panic.' 'Gaza is a closed space, from which nobody can escape … and where access to healthcare, food, and safe water is dwindling,' Cardon said. He warned that humanitarian workers themselves are increasingly unsafe, calling the situation 'intolerable.' Cardon, who has played a key role in Red Cross humanitarian efforts and in the exchanges of captives held by Hamas since October 7, underscored that conditions in Gaza are deteriorating hour by hour as violence intensifies. UN Special Rapporteur on Housing Balakrishnan Rajagopal echoed the Red Cross warning, stating that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has deteriorated after two years and has now reached 'catastrophic levels.' He noted that people are dying from famine and from Israel's ongoing prevention of relief supplies and reconstruction materials entering the Strip, despite earlier commitments under ceasefire agreements. Rajagopal sharply criticized the global response: 'The international community is failing the people of Gaza, and I wonder what can be done to avert further disaster.' He emphasized that international law obligates states to end the illegal occupation of Palestine and to halt war crimes and genocide in Gaza under the Geneva Conventions and the Genocide Convention. E1: Israel's Bullet to Palestinian Sovereignty
DaysofPal – The relentless expansion of Israeli settlements in East Jerusalem, particularly through the controversial E1 project, threatens to extinguish the fragile hope for Palestinian self-determination. According to an in-depth analysis, the plan to connect settlements in the Maale Adumim bloc with Jerusalem is more than urban development; it is a deliberate act aimed at erasing the possibility of a future Palestinian state. Described as a 'sniper's bullet to the heart of future coexistence,' the E1 project comes in response to the growing international recognition of Palestine. Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, see the development as a decisive move to undermine Palestinian statehood. E1 is one of the few remaining areas on Jerusalem's eastern periphery not yet overtaken by settlements, housing a few Bedouin communities and an Israeli police headquarters. Its development would sever the West Bank's north from south, block Palestinians' access to East Jerusalem's holy sites, hospitals, transport networks, and tourism revenues, and blatantly defy the 1967 Green Line recognized by international law. The author highlights that E1 is part of the broader 'Greater Jerusalem' plan, designed to Judaize land from Tel Aviv to Jordan while reinforcing settler presence in the Old City. 'House by house' has long been the strategy of right-wing settlers, with demolitions and land grabs proceeding at unprecedented rates. With tacit support or silence from the U.S. administration, some officials argue E1 does not violate international law, directly challenging the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ruled in July 2024 that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory is illegal. The Human Cost: Bedouin Communities and Cultural Heritage at Risk The analysis emphasizes the devastating human impact of E1, particularly on Bedouin communities in the Jerusalem periphery. Already displaced in 1948 from the Naqab desert and subjected to settler violence, these communities now face forced relocation into overcrowded slums. Their centuries-old knowledge of desert survival, once described by former Palestinian President Yasser Arafat as essential to Jerusalem's heritage, is being threatened, along with their pastoral, semi-nomadic way of life. The author warns that denying this knowledge amid rising regional temperatures will have long-lasting consequences for future generations. Jerusalem remains a focal point for messianic nationalist agendas, including those of far-right Israeli ministers and Christian Zionist supporters, whose apocalyptic visions ignore the pursuit of peace and perpetuate cycles of violence. The situation in Gaza, compounded by Israel's broader policies, reduces Palestinian territories to heavily securitized bantustans while increasing instability, fear, and hatred across the region. The author ends by issuing a dire warning, referring to this as a 'mayday' for the Palestinian people as well as the larger region. Gaza faces devastation, Jerusalem is reshaped by aggressive settlement policies, and the cultural heritage and future of Palestinian communities hang in the balance as Israeli hubris drives a cycle of destruction and impunity. Hamas: Netanyahu Blocks Truce Efforts, Enforces New Gaza Genocide
DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement stated on Wednesday that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is deliberately obstructing mediation efforts after the Israeli occupation announced plans to launch a new military campaign against Gaza City, dubbed Operation 'Gideon's Chariots 2', aiming at destroying the city and displacing its people. In a press statement, Hamas described the move as a continuation of the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, which has stretched on for more than 22 months. Hamas also added that Netanyahu's intention to approve the operation represents a 'blatant disregard' for international mediators' efforts to secure a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal. 'While the movement has announced its approval of the latest proposal presented by the mediators, the Zionist government insists on continuing its brutal war against innocent civilians by escalating its criminal operations in Gaza City to destroy it and displace its people, a fully-fledged war crime,' the statement said. Hamas argued that Netanyahu's refusal to respond to the mediators' plan proves he is 'the real obstacle to any agreement,' as he shows no concern for the lives of Israeli captives held in Gaza. The group further vowed that Operation 'Gideon's Chariots 2' would fail 'just like previous military operations have failed,' stressing that occupying Gaza 'will not be a simple endeavor.' Furthermore, Hamas called on mediators and the international community to 'exert maximum pressure' on the Israeli occupation to halt what it described as crimes of 'genocide and starvation' against Palestinians. It also held Israel and the U.S. administration fully responsible for the humanitarian consequences of the operation, which it warned aims to destroy 'what remains of life's essentials in Gaza.'
