I won a lottery prize & quit my job – people say I'm stupid & it's less than some people's wage but I have a good reason

Olivia Love, who was previously on Universal Credit, scooped £10,000-a-month for a year alongside hubby Kevin last month. Before this, the mum-of-four was earning just £800-a-month working in a supermarket's customer service kiosk. She was also on benefits to subsidise her eye-watering £1,800-a-month childcare costs and "dreaded" her council tax bill coming through. Olivia shared how numerous people have questioned why she decided to quit her job after winning just over £100,000 and have told her the decision is 'not wise'. More on lottery winners LOTTA LOTTO LOVE UK's youngest lottery winner finds love after split from boyfriend However, she explained that without getting help from Universal Credits towards childcare, it made sense for her to do it herself and save £1,800. She hit back in a clip, saying: 'Listen, buddy, listen. I gave up my job. Yes, because I earned £800 a month without the Universal Credit element of getting the cost of childcare paid for then I'm working for nothing. 'I still have to pay my childcare costs of £1,800 a month. 'I'm sick and tired of having to explain this to people.' She shared how she hopes to start her own wedding content creation business, instead of just blowing through the money. Olivia added: 'That's using my weddings to change my life, to change my career. That's what I plan to do. I'm not gonna blow through the money and if you'd watched any of my videos you would know this. While some would be hesitant to broadcast the news, Olivia and her hubby Kevin have been speaking out about the life-changing prize in more detail on TikTok. Since going public with her win, Olivia has been giving social media users an inside peek at the life of a lottery winner. 5 Now Olivia has opened up about her winnings Credit: TikTok / @mrsolivialove However, she admitted that she's had some trolling about people - mainly men - who resent her win. In a TikTok clip (@mrsolivialove), she said: "When I won the lottery, I knew it would change my life. But I didn't expect how loud the internet would get. "With the win came judgement, assumptions and a lot of hate. Especially from men who can't stand to see a woman win. "Just for being proud of my life. For spreading hope and positivity. Players can also win £10,000 a month for a whole year by matching the five main numbers. Olivia revealed she did six lucky dips at £1.50 each on the app, with one of them bagging the second tier prize of the cash for a year. She's never played her own numbers, explaining: 'I've always had the fear that if you did play your own numbers the one time you didn't play it, that would be the time your numbers came in.' She was shocked when she received an email from The National Lottery team at 12.33am on May 16 June that changed everything for this couple. However, she said it has changed her life for the better, saying: 'I feel like I can be more present now. Enjoy more moments. 'The stress I felt before stopped me enjoying the little things.' With the win came judgement, assumptions and a lot of hate. Especially from men who can't stand to see a woman win Olivia Love Recently, she documented her family's "first holiday as lottery winners" to North Wales with their four kids and Kevin's parents. They hired a stunning four-bedroom 17th century farmhouse for the week and spent just £2,202.06 in total including car rental, food, and accommodation. The winning numbers in the draw were: 03, 27, 42, 45, 46, plus Life Ball 06. Before she won, she had been playing sporadically for four to five months and would play when she had the 'notion to do it.' And despite winning, she still hasn't stopped buying lucky dips 'from time to time.' 5 She recently paid for a £2,200 holiday in Wales for her family Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk DOWNSIDE While buying items like her hubby's car has brought her 'so much joy', there are some downsides to the winnings. Olivia has had people message her to beg for money, with one saying: 'Can I have like £20,000 to pay my debts off?' As a result, the Lottery winner said: "I've got my dms very closed.' Since going public with her win, Olivia has hilariously joked about wiping away fake tears with £20 notes in response to cruel comments from trolls.

I'm a single mum-of-7 to kids aged 1 to 16 – my ‘no spend' summer holiday days are made so much easier with a £5 B&M buy
Scroll down for the full list of places where kids can eat free this summer NO KIDDING I'm a single mum-of-7 to kids aged 1 to 16 – my 'no spend' summer holiday days are made so much easier with a £5 B&M buy Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SINGLE mum-of-seven who is aiming to spend no money on some days during the school summer holidays, has revealed the £5 B&M buy that keeps her kids entertained for hours. Amy, who has children aged between one and 16, took to TikTok to share how she is able to keep her kids busy for a whole day without spending any money. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Amy is a single mum of seven Credit: TikTok/@singlewithseven 2 Her kids love playing with water blaster backpacks from B&M Credit: TikTok/@singlewithseven The single mum revealed that her bumper brood were "fighting like mad" during the morning of her no-spend day, so she got the little ones up and out of the house by half past 8. "We went for a walk for about an hour and a half and left the teenagers in bed", she said. After returning home, the younger kids played with kinetic sand for half an hour, before the family had lunch. After lunch, Amy took her younger ones out for another walk and her daughters decided to take their B&M Water Blaster backpacks with them. The nifty backpacks have water guns attached to them, so kids can have water fights whilst out and about. Amy said she got her kids' pink mermaid backpacks for £5 from the budget store, but online it currently looks like they are only selling Marvel water backpacks, priced at £8.99. Unfortunately, one of Amy's younger daughters was too small for the backpack, but she was happy carrying around a little spray bottle. During their walk, the kids also went to the park, and on a hunt for blackberries to pick. They managed to find a whole bush full of ripe berries, took them home and then gave them a good wash, before making a fruit crumble. The kids were happy and entertained for the entire day, and Amy didn't have to spend a single penny. I bought two splash pads from Temu and TikTok shop for £9.99 for my kids to compare - one of them is HUGE for the price The video, posted under the username @singlewithseven, has likely left many impressed, as it has racked up over 24,000 views on the video-sharing platform. TikTok users raced to the video sharing platform, to share how impressed they were with Amy's no spend day. One person said: "Aw I love this! Dunelm's 'vibrant' and 'super comfy' garden chairs reduced to £50
The loungers are reduced in a deal that makes each seat cost just over £24. When the weather gets dry and warm again, people will be eager to do one thing - make the most of it. For many, basking in the warm weather is the ultimate way to unwind during the summer - but you'll need proper seating to do it comfortably. Most probably snapped up garden furniture at the start of the season to make the most of recent scorching spells. However, if you missed out - or simply fancy upgrading your current outdoor seating - Dunelm has slashed prices on a pair of "vibrant" colourful loungers, promising "optimal comfort." The Helsinki Loungers are now available as a twin pack for £48.50, reduced from £69, meaning each seat works out at just over £24, reports the Mirror. This duo deal comes in exclusive colours - navy blue and lilypad green - that are unavailable when purchasing individual chairs. Dunelm wrote that these low-maintenance loungers"redefine outdoor comfort" thanks to adjustable backrests that allow for personalised reclining angles. Made from robust materials built to endure the elements, these loungers "promise longevity without compromising on style or comfort," according to Dunelm. Alternative options are available elsewhere for those seeking a quick solution to their garden seating needs - including the Folding Metal Zero Gravity Sun Lounger (Argos, £45) or the Colorado Grey Metal Sun Lounger (B&Q, £35 down from £50). But, hundreds of customers have shared rave reviews online after purchasing the Dunelm garden set. One said: "Lovely comfy reclining chairs, I actually fell asleep in them!" Another added: "Great value and lovely colour. Sturdy, easy to assemble and store. Very comfy to sit in too!" A third wrote: "Sturdy, easy to set up and super comfy. Perfect colour to go with our garden décor too (true to ad pictures), and they don't take a ton of space when folded away in the garage. At that price for a pair, you can't go wrong with these!" However, a few customers encountered problems, with one claiming: "The cords that hold the seats to the frame are fraying heavily and have broken in several places. They are now unusable." Meanwhile, another suggested: "Very comfortable chairs although a little fiddly to open." Someone else pointed out: "The knobs that make them recline are plastic and so seem a bit fragile so not sure how long they will last. Also one of the chairs seems to very slowly go back to upright position, so have to keep adjusting it." Nevertheless, most reviews were glowing. One customer who gave five stars commented: "Love these loungers - easy to fold and unfold, very comfortable. The green goes beautifully in my garden." Another buyer posted: "Great design and very sturdy. Easy to use and move around the garden." Whilst someone else wrote: "The loungers are great, they are exactly the colour I wanted, comfortable and easy to use and no self assembly required and a great price."
