
King meets Montenegro president
AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah met with Montenegro President Jakov Milatović in the coastal city of Tivat on Friday.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation in the fields of health, technology, energy, trade, tourism, agriculture, transportation, investment, and digital economy, according to a Royal Court statement.
They also discussed maintaining coordination on counterterrorism efforts, within the framework of the Aqaba Process initiative launched by Jordan.
The meeting also addressed efforts to achieve comprehensive calm in the region, including halting the war on Gaza and resuming aid flow. The situation in the West Bank and Jerusalem was also discussed, the statement said.
During the meeting—attended by HRH Prince Ghazi, His Majesty's chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy, the King stressed the importance of achieving just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
President Milatović commended Jordan's role in promoting interfaith harmony, expressing his country's keenness to open new horizons for cooperation with the Kingdom in various areas.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
The King's visit also included a short tour of Porto Montenegro harbour, a popular tourism destination.

Shibani and Barrack were in Jordan to participate in a tripartite Jordanian-Syrian-American meeting held to follow up on talks hosted in Amman last month, and discuss the situation in Syria and ways to support the country's reconstruction.

King receives Egypt PM, stresses importance of continuing high-level coordination, cooperation
AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received Egypt Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, who headed his country's delegation to the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee meetings in Amman. During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace and attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein and Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, His Majesty stressed the importance of continuing the high level of coordination and cooperation between Jordan and Egypt, particularly in the economic field, to work towards shared goals, according to a Royal Court statement. Speaking about regional developments, the King reiterated the urgency of stopping the war on Gaza, and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip. His Majesty also praised Egypt's efforts, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, in support of Palestinians. The King warned of the danger of Israel's security Cabinet's endorsement of a plan to consolidate its occupation of Gaza and expand military control over it, stressing Jordan's rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, or annex land. Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
