While the complete list is not available in a single compiled document, voters can check their individual details online through the official Election Commission website. To facilitate access to the draft voter list, the Election Commission has provided a dedicated link. By following this link, individuals can verify their voter details. Upon accessing the page, four selection options appear. The user must first choose 'Bihar' as the state, followed by selecting the relevant district and assembly constituency. Next, a language preference, either Hindi or English, must be selected. After that, one of three voter list categories, Draft Roll, Final Roll, or SIR Draft, should be chosen. Based on these selections, the voter's name can then be viewed as per their designated booth. How Many Names Are On The Draft Roll? Prior to the SIR process, there were 7.93 crore registered voters in Bihar as of June, according to the Election Commission. However, the current number of voter names included in the draft list has not been disclosed. The release of the draft list also initiates the process for registering 'claims and objections." Any voter whose name has been mistakenly removed or whose information is incorrect can file a complaint until September 1. In all 38 districts of Bihar, the District Election Officer (DEO) has provided digital and print copies of the voter list to recognised political parties. Furthermore, in 243 assembly constituencies, the Election Officer will accept claims and objections from voters and parties. During this period, any individual can apply to add, remove, or correct their information in the voter list. TMC's Derek O'Brien, DMK's Tiruchi Siva, and AAP's Sanjay Singh were seen forcing their way past the marshals, following which several other MPs, including many from Congress, also trooped into the well. The MPs raised slogans against the SIR exercise, and also protested against the blockade by security staff. NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India on Friday strongly rebutted allegations of electoral misconduct made by leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi , releasing a five-point statement criticising him for making 'wild allegations' while refusing to engage with the poll body despite repeated communication. The Commission stated: ECI sends a mail to him on 12 June 2025. He does not come. ECI sends him a letter on 12 June 2025, he does not respond. He has never sent any letter to ECI on any issue, whatsoever. It is very strange that he is making wild allegations and has now even started threatening EC and its staff. Deplorable! The confrontation comes amid the EC's release of draft electoral rolls in Bihar following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise ahead of the state assembly elections. The EC reported receiving 7.23 crore enumeration forms. Prior to the exercise, Bihar had 7.93 crore registered voters. According to the poll panel, around 35 lakh voters had permanently migrated or were untraceable, 22 lakh were reported deceased, and seven lakh were found registered on more than one roll. Additionally, about 1.2 lakh voters did not submit the required forms. The "claims and objections" phase will continue until September 1.
