'Sturdy' Dunelm lounger that's 'made for relaxing' gets 50% price slash
One garden essential for the summer months is a furniture set or a comfortable lounger. Providing a space for your friends and family to sit when hosting a party or for yourself to relax and soak in the sun is a must.
For those in the market for some new outdoor seating, Dunelm is currently hosting a clearance event that is seeing some outdoor items getting reductions up to 50 per cent. This select sale is set to end on June 21, so shoppers only have a few days left to snap up their favourite garden items.
If laying in the garden on a comfortable chair sounds like your ideal summer day, Dunelm has slashed 50 per cent off the Polkadot Monochrome Print Padded Lounger. Normally retailing for £39, shoppers can now snap it up for the bargain price of £19.50.
Described as 'stylish and comfy' by shoppers, this lounger is perfect for those who don't have much outdoor space as it can be conveniently folded and stored away when no longer in use, reports Birmingham Live.
Boasting a monochrome polkadot design, this sturdy lounger features a metal frame and comfy padded seating for added comfort when sitting with a morning brew or a cool glass of wine in the afternoon.
What has drawn most of the customers in is the multi-position design and built-in headrest. Dunelm says that these features will offer "supreme comfort for sunbathing or lounging". Due to the reclining aspect, the dimensions of the lounger are H89/107cm x W90/144cm x D65cm.

For those wanting something with a bright pop of colour, Dunelm is also selling the Helsinki Lounger. Retailing for £35, this chair is available in aqua, Ashley blue, charcoal and coral. Constructed with durable materials to withstand various weather conditions, shoppers will also be able to adjust the lounger to the optimal sunbathing position.
Alternatively, shoppers can buy the Home Folding Metal Zero Gravity Sun Lounger from Argos for £45. With three positions to choose from, the lounger comes with a pillow to provide added support for your head and neck. Once used, the lounger can easily be folded up and stored away.
Back to the Polkadot Lounger, many shoppers have praised the chair for its comfortable feel, with one shopper saying it was made for relaxing in the summer months.
One happy shopper simply wrote: "Very comfortable. Lovely to lie back and enjoy the sun."
With another five-star reviewer adding: "I absolutely love this sun lounger in monochrome, it's so comfortable and many settings so very happy I bought it."
However, a few shoppers commented on the locking system, with one person saying: "Although a comfortable lounger they really need to address the problem with the locking system, I know it needs locking into place but it still moves forward so you're having to constantly put it back."
In response to this, Dunelm stated that they took the chair off sale to carry out investigations into the locking issue noted. They have since uploaded instructions to the product page to help users safely lock the chair into place - this can be found with the product images.
On the flip side, a top reviewer said: "Stylish comfortable sun lounger, perfect addition to the garden ready for the summer sun. Easy to open and put away. 10/10."
While a fifth customer praised: "Sturdy, stylish sun lounger, made for relaxing on glorious, sunny, summer afternoons."

Royal-inspired garden buys you'll love this summer - from rattan furniture and solar lights to elegant mirrors and birdhouses
Daily Mail journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn more With summer in full swing, there's no better time to refresh your outdoor space. And who better to take inspiration from than the Royal Family? I've explored royal residences across the country to uncover garden styling ideas - from furniture to accessories - that are certain to impress. A recurring theme in these regal gardens is the use of natural, organic materials, such as rattan and wood. Bee and bird houses play a starring role - Queen Camilla, a dedicated beekeeper, maintains hives at both Buckingham Palace and her Wiltshire retreat, Raymill. For a touch of elegance, I spotted a beautiful garden table and chair set on Amazon, featuring weather-resistant handwoven rattan and a durable coated steel base. Prefer something more laid-back? Dunelm's rattan-effect sofa is perfect for lounging. I'm a huge fan of the romantic Love Bench from Signature Homes & Gardens. With ornate metalwork that nods to palace gates, it's both charming and practical. As someone who admires the classic blue and white pottery seen in Windsor Castle, I was instantly drawn to Ruggable's Fontain Delft outdoor rug. It comes in a variety of sizes and, best of all, is machine washable - making it as functional as it is stylish. For nature lovers, Wildlife World's charming bee barn feels like something Camilla herself would approve of. There are also colourful recycled cotton birdhouses by Paper High or a sage green bird table from John Lewis. Lighting matters too: Waitrose's solar globe lanterns echo the warm ambiance of the restaurant at King Charles' Balmoral estate, while Nkuku rustic clay pots bring a timeless feel, reminiscent of those scattered around its gardens. To finish, a large outdoor mirror can work wonders. It opens up the space, reflects light and adds a hint of drama. I love the cathedral-style gold mirror from Canora Grey and the vintage-inspired white version by Dibor. Take a closer look at these finds - and more - below.

Four simple tricks to make using your paddling pool cheaper this summer
PADDLING pools are an easy way to keep kids entertained over the summer when temperatures are rising. But with the holidays and water restrictions looming, you needn't splash too much cash to cool off. With a few simple tricks you can keep the fun cheaper and going for longer . . . 7 FILLED UP: With hosepipe bans in place across parts of the country, you'll want to avoid refilling as much as possible. Instead keep the water cleaner by popping a washing up bowl with warm water beside the pool to act as a foot bath before kids jump in. And pop a cover over your pool when not in use to stop flies and debris landing in it. You can create one out of an old sheet. — a dark sheet can also help keep the water warm. Help keep the water free from bacteria for a couple of days by using Milton sterilising liquid or tablets. WARM UP: Even on a hot day, the pool can feel icy cold if you fill it up from the outside tap. Rather than faffing around with kettles and boiling water, there is an easier and cheaper solution. Simply place black bin liners over or in the water. The black bags will absorb the heat from the sun and warm the water within an hour. AVOID A PUNCTURE: The laughs will quickly turn to tears if your inflatable pool gets a puncture. Pop an old blanket or towel under the base before filling up to help protect it from little stones that could pierce the plastic. If you have dogs getting in and out the pool, consider popping an old towel across the bottom to protect it from claws. If your pool does get torn, you don't need to chuck it. You can get a repair kit for £4.99 online from Robert Dyas. MAKE USE: You don't need to wait for a scorching day to use the pool. When it is not hot, inflate smaller pools and fill with small plastic or foam balls to create a ball pit. Or you could even use it for some messy play with slime or jelly. How to keep your paddling pool spotless and safe this summer Deal of the day GIVE your humble toaster an upgrade with this four-slice model from De'Longhi. It's down from £69 to £45 at Argos. Dunelm slashes 30% off ‘stunning' parasol that adds a ‘holiday vibe' to the garden in clearance deal
Looking for a way to make your sun-trap garden a bit more shaded? Dunelm has slashed the price of a unique parasol. Proving popular with shoppers, the Tiki Garden Parasol is in the clearance section, reduced from £59 to £41.30. 1 Tiki Garden Parasol £41.30 (was £59) The summer months are all about relaxing and soaking up the sun when you can, and building the ultimate garden set-up could be the answer to the perfect weekend. If you're not jetting off anytime soon, never fear as the hot weather keeps returning, and you could turn your outdoor space into a tropical paradise for less than you think. Dunelm's Tiki Garden Parasol has a straw-effect, which gives it the appearance of an umbrella you might find somewhere hot and sunny. If you're fed up of plain garden furniture and are looking for something a bit different to add to your space, the parasol could be a great choice. The parasol is 224cm tall, and the canopy covers 212cm, so you could place it next to a sun lounger or beside your garden dining table for some shade. There's a tilt mechanism, which allows you to adjust the placement of the shade, so you can change it when the sun moves during the day. It's worth keeping in mind that the parasol doesn't include a base or weights, so you will need to buy one separately. The parasol is one of thousands of items reduced in the Dunelm clearance offer, which cuts up to 75% off home and garden products. Shoppers have been leaving their reviews on the Dunelm parasol, with many having bought it this summer to add some shade to their gardens. One pleased buyer said: ''I've looked at many of these umbrellas, this is by far the best.'' ''Bought it for my garden bar.'' Another added: ''It's absolutely gorgeous, it's stunning - really happy with it and the price is well worth it, glad I purchased.'' While a third commented: ''It's lightweight and gives a holiday vibe to the garden.'' ''This parasol not only looks good, but is a great shade provider in the summer.'' Tiki Garden Parasol £41.30 (was £59) this summer.
