Rapper Tommy Genesis, whose real name is Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj, is facing strong criticism for her new music video titled True Blue. In the video, she is seen painted blue, wearing gold jewellery and a red bindi, which many believe looks like a Hindu goddess. She also uses a Christian cross as a prop in ways that upset a lot of people. The video shows her licking a Christian cross and holding it near her posterior. Many viewers felt the video was disrespectful to both religions.
Rapper Raftaar has now called out Genesis Yasmine Mohanraj on social media. He took to his Instagram Stories to speak out against the music video, which he found offensive. Calling it 'a mockery of my religion," the rapper revealed that he had reported the video on YouTube and urged his followers to do the same. Social media users have also slammed Tommy Genesis over the controversial visuals in her True Blue music video. Many have accused her of deliberately trying to provoke religious sentiments, calling the imagery disrespectful and hurtful to both Hindu and Christian communities.

Many online have labelled the act as deeply disrespectful and an apparent attempt to stir outrage for attention. 'Her new song openly mocks both Hindu and Christian faiths. This is not creativity this is pure disrespect (sic)," an angry user wrote.
Tommy Genesis, who holds Canadian citizenship, hasn't responded to the criticism yet.
