Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu OTT Release Likely On Chiranjeevi's Birthday?
Pawan Kalyan starrer period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu has been receiving mixed reviews. The film was released on July 24. And now a report has come in that the film will make its debut on an OTT platform on August 22, which also happens to be the birthday of megastar Chiranjeevi.
According to 123 Telugu, the film is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on August 22, 2025, which coincides with Chiranjeevi's birthday. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, has been facing sharp criticism since its release mainly for its patchy VFX. Now, one of the film's directors, Jyothi Krisna, has responded to the backlash and admitted that he knew some visual effects in the film weren't quite up to the mark. It stars Pawan Kalyan as Veera Mallu, Nidhhi Agerwal as Panchami, and Bobby Deol as Aurangzeb.
Speaking to ABN in a recent interview, Jyothi said the issues people are pointing out are 'minor". 'Anyone will troll only those who are in the limelight. People only get views when they write about something famous. I do not take any of the negativity to heart. Every single day, I see something negative being written about Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This is not the first time a film has taken this long to produce."
He added, 'When they nitpicked, all they could find was that the CGI and VFX were bad in some places. No one could point out the story and screenplay, or say it's boring, or that they can't understand it. There are 4400 shots in the film that required CGI. I knew in my heart that a few shots weren't up to par, but it wasn't something huge. We needed to hold special premieres for which tickets were sold out, and they turned that minor issue into something major."
The film reportedly has over 4,400 VFX shots. Despite the criticism, it has done well at the box office, crossing Rs 100 crore in just four days. Over the weekend, an updated version of the film, with some of the bad VFX trimmed or removed, started playing in theatres.

'Son of Sardaar 2' and 'Dhadak 2' day 1 box-office report: Both sequels suffer slow starts, fail to surpass 1st day earnings of their predecessors
Despite being anticipated continuations of popular originals, both Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 opened to underwhelming numbers at the Indian box office. India-Pakistan rivalry jokes and one-liners will keep you in splits, along with Tony and Titu trying to expose Jassi. The first half has some entertaining moments; one of them being Raja, Tony, and Titu visiting the family to finalise the wedding, where Jassi recreates the scene from Border and plays all three parts originally portrayed by Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff.'
