Fan taken to hospital after falling from stand during Belgium-Wales soccer match
BRUSSELS (AP) — A soccer fan who fell from the upper tier of King Baudouin Stadium during a World Cup qualifier between Belgium and Wales was taken to the hospital for checks on his injuries.
The Football Association of Wales said the unnamed man 'was conscious and speaking' after the incident, which reportedly took place during the second half of Monday's game in Brussels.

The man 'fell from the upper to lower tier,' the FAW said in a statement after the match, which Belgium won 4-3.
The incident came a day after a fan died after falling from an overhead level onto the media section at the Munich stadium during the Nations League final between Spain and Portugal.

Spain replaces women's team coach Montse Tomé with Sonia Bermúdez
MADRID (AP) — Spain's women's national team is making a coaching change two weeks after reaching the final of the European Championship. Montse Tomé will not have her contract renewed and will be replaced by former player Sonia Bermúdez, the Spanish soccer federation said Monday. Another former Spain player, Iraia Iturregi, was named the team's second coach. The decision was made by the federation's board members after Tomé led Spain to the Euro 2025 final, which it lost to England in a penalty shootout on July 27. Tomé replaced former coach Jorge Vilda following the team's World Cup title in 2023. She led Spain to the title of the inaugural Women's Nations League in 2024. Her current contract with the national team was valid until the end of the month. Tomé was the first woman to coach the senior women's team in Spain. She had been an assistant to Vilda during the World Cup and was promoted in the fallout of former federation president Luis Rubiales' nonconsensual kiss of player Jenni Hermoso during the World Cup's awards ceremony in Australia. Spain has enjoyed some peace and stability since Rubiales was convicted of sexual assault for the kiss that ignited one of the worst crises in Spanish soccer. The outrage surrounding the scandal led to widespread changes and improved conditions for the women's national team. Spanish society called for more support for women, and sports officials ultimately were forced to review outdated protocols related to the women's squad. Bermúdez was a Spain international and also played for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, among other clubs. She retired as a player in 2020. Bermúdez had been coaching the youth squads of Spain's national team. She was currently with the under-23 squad. The board that made the decision was composed of 30 members, half of them women.

There is also an option for Everton to buy Grealish for $67 million next summer if the loan goes well. The England international, 29, was not a regular for City last season and his career is in real danger of petering out. This move to Everton should suit him perfectly and Grealish will play week in, week out for the Toffees. David Moyes loves to help resurrect careers and Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye should both be given the freedom to attack as Everton badly need some more creativity in the final third. Grealish will provide that and provided he stays fit, this is the perfect chance for him to be the main man on a team on the way up in the Premier League. If he can do that, he also has the carrot dangling in front of him of getting into Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the 2026 World Cup. Savinho to Spurs a surprise, but could be a great fit Another attacking player who could be leaving Manchester City is Brazilian winger Savinho. According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are in talks with City over signing Savinho and he is keen a move to north London. Per the report, Spurs have offered $58 million but City want more. Savinho, 21, only joined City last summer from their sister club Troyes but he had a very decent first season in the Premier League. However, with City signing Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders to go alongside Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Oscar Bobb and Omar Marmoush as attacking midfield options, it appears that Savinho may not get as many minutes going forward. Add in reports that City could try to sign Rodrygo with plenty of attacking players moving on this summer and it's a little easier to understand why Savinho could leave. Is this a good move for Spurs? It would seem so. Savinho would be the replacement for Heung-min Son and even though he often plays on the right wing, where Brennan Johnson is a regular starter, Savinho is flexible. His quality on the ball is also something Spurs need and Savinho whipping in crosses for Dominic Solanke to finish is an exciting proposition.
