Queen Camilla finds my royal tattoos ‘hilarious', says inked superfan at Sandringham Flower Show
Camilla joked with Phil Smith when he showed her his latest body art by sticking out his left leg covered in royal monograms.
The two met at the annual Sandringham Flower Show where the King and Queen toured the exhibition tents viewing winners in flower arranging, vegetable produce and baking.
Mr Smith, 61, said he first had the late Queen's cypher tattooed on his leg, then above it Charles's monogram followed by Camilla's emblem. Then 18 months ago the King and Queen's cyphers entwined were inked on his lower thigh.
After showing her the newest tattoo he said: 'She finds it hilarious.'
He added: 'That was probably about an hour and a half [to ink], but it was bloody painful."
'I've been corresponding with the Queen since before they got married – we hit it off.'
Hundreds of well-wishers stood behind crash barriers waiting to meet the royal couple with many shouting goodwill messages for Charles, who is receiving ongoing cancer care and who missed the last year's event.
The King joked about his appearance after he was complemented on how well he was looking by a number of well-wishers.
Maria and Graham Sharples from Spalding, Lincolnshire, who regularly visit the show, called out to the King saying: 'We missed you last year, you look very well.'
Mrs Sharples said: 'He came over and said 'it's all done with mirrors'.'
Later, Irene Lane shouted to the King: 'Good to see you're back this year, praying for your good health,' and when she repeated the phrase to the Queen, Camilla made the crowd laugh when she said 'touch wood' and tapped her head.

The TV personality was seen looking into the distance while shielding herself from the sun with a pair of oversized sunglasses. She wore her brunette tresses in a messy bun and opted for minimal makeup. Lauren posed with her hand on her hip, before laying down on the side of the pool to top up her tan. Although she looked body confident, Lauren told The Sun just weeks ago that she regrets ever going under the surgeon's scalpel. She admitted: 'I've ruined my looks with surgery - I hate my fake boobs and bum now.' Lauren continued: 'I feel like my body looks abnormal - I don't need these massive boobs and massive bum. 'They make me look bigger than I am and I wish I'd never had them done in the first place. When I look at myself naked in the mirror, all I see is lumps and bumps everywhere. The Towie legend split from Charles in 2022 after the devastating death of daughter Lorena. For months, the pair have been fuelling rumours that they've rekindled their romance - and it looks like they're back on for good. Lauren and Charles were snapped in the airport while heading on a family holiday, with their daughter Larose. Meanwhile, Lauren and Charles first sent the rumour mill into overdrive when they took part in a TikTok together. Joined by fellow Towi stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman, they all appeared on the platform for a live chat. It was Lauren's first time doing a live video on the platform in over a year, and it had been even longer since she'd been seen publicly with Charles. The Sun previously told how Lauren treated Charles to a luxury £250-a-night spa break after rekindling their romance. A source told us: 'Lauren has whisked Charles away as a treat for his birthday. "It's a stunning manor house in Stock, Chelmsford and it's a very romantic place. "There's a pool, a fine dining restaurant, a gym and they even host weddings there. "Lauren really wanted to spoil Charles and while there are people who aren't sure about her getting back together with him, she isn't focusing on what others think and she's just following her heart.' The reality star previously reposted an Instagram story shared by Junaid Ahmed. He captioned: 'Double dating," and tagged Joe, Lauren and Charles. She and Charles spent the evening with Junaid and Joe at Indian restaurant Cinnamon in Epping. Lauren was an original Towie cast member, featuring regularly from the show's 2010 launch until 2012. After guest appearances in 2015 and 2016, she returned permanently from 2024 onwards. 9 The Essex babe was seen adjusting her strapless swimsuit Credit: BackGrid 9 Lauren showed off her bum while relaxing at the luxury resort Credit: BackGrid 9 The ITV2 star looked in her element while on holiday Credit: BackGrid 9 Lauren has sparked rumours that she's reconciled with ex Charles Drury Credit: BackGrid

Princess Diana 'hid secret health ordeal' as wedding to Charles took devastating toll
A young Diana Spencer became a princess 44 years ago today as she married Prince Charles in St Paul's Cathedral, but the night before the wedding, the late Diana became incredibly sick just hours before walking down the aisle On July 29th 1981, 44 years ago today, a young Diana Spencer became a princess as she tied the knot with the then Prince Charles in St Paul's Cathedral in London. And while the momentous wedding was a joyous occasion for royal fans everywhere, it appears Diana was struggling with her reality behind the scenes. At the time of her wedding, Diana had only recently celebrated her 20th birthday, and as she admitted ten years later to journalist Andrew Morton, she became incredibly sick the night before the big day, as she suffered 'a very bad fit of bulimia' just hours before walking down the aisle. Between 1991 and 1992, Diana recorded tapes for Morton, which were the main source of his best-selling authorised biography, Diana: Her True Story. In the tapes, Diana revealed the extent of her secret health battle. 'I ate everything I could possibly find, which amused my sister, and nobody understood what was going on there,' said Diana. 'It was very hush-hush. I was as sick as a parrot that night. It was such an indication of what was going on.' When Diana found it hard to sleep the night before the big day, she recalled going downstairs at Clarence House where she spotted a bicycle belonging to the Queen Mother's Steward, William Tallon. Diana leapt on it and cycled around in circles, ringing the bell and singing: 'I'm going to marry the Prince of Wales tomorrow!' Despite her excitement the evening before her nuptials, her mindset had changed when morning broke. 'I was very, very calm, deathly calm,' said Diana. 'I felt I was a lamb to the slaughter. I knew it and couldn't do anything about it. My last night of freedom was with Jane at Clarence House. 'I remember being so in love with my husband that I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was going to look after me. Well, was I wrong on that assumption? I realised I had taken on an enormous role but had no idea what I was going into - but no idea.' Diana's pre-wedding illness wasn't the only thing the bride-to-be was contending with the night before the big day, as according to a friend of Diana's, she was left devastated by a confession by Charles as he "did not want to go into the marriage on a false promise". Speaking on ITV documentary The Diana Interview: Revenge Of A Princess, she said: "One of the most shocking things that Diana told me was that the night before the wedding Charles told her that he didn't love her... 'I think Charles didn't want to go into the wedding on a false premise. He wanted to square it with her and it was devastating for Diana. She didn't want to go through with the wedding at that point, she thought about not attending the wedding.' The wedding went ahead as planned, although in a book about Camilla called The Duchess: The Untold Story, royal author Penny Junor claims Charles believed the wedding was a mistake but knew it was too late to pull out. She writes: "Charles was not convinced he was doing the right thing in marrying Diana but there was no way out and, bolstered by the hope that things would be different once they were married, he put a brave face on it." Charles and Diana married in front of 3,500 guests at St Paul's Cathedral in London, with a record-breaking 750 million people in 74 countries across the globe tuning in to watch the event on television. They then separated in 1992 before finalising their divorce in 1996.

Beaming King Charles waves as he attends Sunday church service in Norfolk
Charles smiled and waved as he arrived for Sunday service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk today - without the Queen by his side. The monarch, 76, appeared to be in high spirits as he arrived dressed in a smart grey suit and brown loafers, carrying his own umbrella. The venue is known for being a regular place of worship for members of the royal family, particularly during Christmas time. It is not known why Camilla, 77, wasn't present for today's service. Meanwhile, earlier this week however, the King's wife attended the annual King George Racing Weekend in Ascot, dressed in an elegant in an off-white ensemble. She was also seen recently attending the annual Sandringham Flower Show alongside Charles. The royal couple arrived at the flower show on their estate in a carriage that once belonged to Queen Victoria. They were all smiles as they rode the route lined with members of the public and waved to them as they passed by. Looking well and relaxed in a smart suit alongside his wife, elegant in a black and white flower print dress, Charles looked delighted to be there again after being forced to miss last year's event due to his cancer treatment. The monarch attended the service without Queen Camilla, who was seen yesterday attending the annual King George Racing Weekend in Ascot without the King Many in the crowds commented on how delighted they were to see him back. The King asked one young winner about what she had won her cup for, telling her: 'I must say it's very impressive. And at least you've now had some rain.' During the event, Charles and Camilla also met with a number of guests and members of local gardening and horticultural cubs. They shook hands with members of the public who queued to greet them, and even bent down to pet a friendly black dog that belonged to one of their greeters. Camilla was left in stitches after a fan showed her a tattoo he recently had done of her royal cypher on his leg, and revealed that one of her police officers also has the same tattoo. Phil Smith, 61, from Northampton pulled up his shorts to show Her Majesty his latest royal inking, telling her that it had 'bloody hurt', prompting her to laugh uproariously. Wearing a black shirt, large cross, denim shorts and sliders, Mr Smith said after their meeting: 'I just think she's fabulous and have got to know her a bit. We just hit it off. 'I love the royal family and she in particular has got a good sense of humour. She frequently responds. 'I waited to see her to show her my latest [tattoo] and she laughed. She said one of her security men has also had it done too.' He said he thought it was of their joint royal cypher and the police officer was there with her that day. He added: 'Honestly, she's just great. We exchange letters. She knew who I was. She asked how long it [the latest one] took and I told her about two and a half hours. 'But I told her this one bloody hurt. She just finds it hilarious. 'She pulled her police officer's sleeve and said 'look, it's catching on!' This week marks the last of the royal couple's official engagements before they head to Scotland for their summer break, as per their traditional royal holiday schedule. King Charles is expected to vacation at Balmoral Castle, which was his late mother Queen Elizabeth II's favourite royal residence and where she died in 2022. After a busy summer, the royal couple will be looking forward to a well-deserved rest before their next engagement in September and may prove to be a controversial one. This is because they will be playing host to US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The president will be paying an official state visit to the UK from September 17 to 19, and will be staying at Windsor Castle. It will come around just over a month of Mr Trump ends his four-day private visit to Scotland, where he is currently staying at his Turnberry resort in South Ayshire. His presence in Scotland, a country he is fond of and owns several golf courses in, has been met by protests carried out by local residents and environmentalists.
