THE BIGGER PICTURE According to ESPN, América are looking to sell Dilrosun during the current transfer window to free up a foreign player slot - key to André Jardine's plans for a new signing in the coming weeks. However, LAFC is also exploring the possibility of keeping the Dutchman on loan for a longer spell. Dilrosun is under contract with América through December 2026, but the Mexican club is working to terminate the deal early. In seven MLS appearances, he has scored twice, including a crucial goal in the 'El Tráfico' derby against the LA Galaxy. According to other reports, Dilrosun could also be included as part of a potential deal that would bring LAFC star Denis Bouanga to América. DID YOU KNOW? There has been a recent shift in the discourse around him, however, as media members have attempted to tear down the Los Angeles Lakers legend's legacy. While the five-time NBA champion is unfortunately no longer here to defend his legacy, there have been countless of former teammates and opponents who have not tolerated the disrespect. Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was the latest player to speak out on Bryant's behalf. "I'm not letting people come on and talk about Kobe like Kobe wasn't one of the best that not only played, but that came in as a 17-year-old against grown men," Nine-time All-Star Kyrie Irving stated. "And by the time this man was 22 years old, he had a few championships and he was busting the best of the best (expletive). If y'all don't knock that (expletive) off. Kyrie Irving reveals he asked Nets for release following COVID-19 vaccine suspension
Kyrie Irving's tenure with the Brooklyn Nets will likely be remembered for off-the-court incidents more than his dynamic play. The superstar guard was suspended to begin the 2021-22 season as he was unwilling to take the COVID-19 vaccine. He was suspended again the following season after tweeting an Amazon link to a film titled, "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America", and his subsequent refusal to speak out against antisemitism. The two incidents led to Brooklyn not offering Irving a contract extension and him ultimately requesting a trade, which landed him with the Dallas Mavericks. While he was not traded until the trade deadline in 2023, the nine-time All-Star recently revealed that he asked to be released following his first suspension in 2021.
