An abandoned bunny's rescue journey has captured the hearts of thousands online.
Holly Murphy (@sleepyforestdweller) from Mooresville, North Carolina, shared how she and her boyfriend found the bunny—now named Honeybun—in woodland on the side of the road in a state park.
"We are thinking he was an Easter gift that someone decided to dump after realizing he was too much responsibility. Honeybun was terrified and shaking, but immediately so sweet and trusting of us. He basically jumped into my boyfriend's arms! He was horribly matted and covered in urine. One of the vets we saw had to shave a golf ball-sized matted fur clump off of him and it was actually growing mold. This means he must have been neglected for his entire life," Murphy told Newsweek.
In a video shared to TikTok, Honeybun trembles in the car before they took him home and arranged veterinary care. The footage garnered 184,300 likes and 1.4 million views on TikTok.

Murphy and her boyfriend believe Honeybun is between four and five months old and suspect he suffered abuse at the hands of previous owners, who may have knocked out his teeth.
"It has been a very long and rough week, we've now taken him to 3 different vets, including an emergency room stay after he entered GI Stasis on Friday this past weekend," she said.
Gastrointestinal stasis (GI stasis) is a potentially life-threatening condition in rabbits where the digestive system slows down or stops entirely. It can be caused by stress, pain, dehydration, or poor diet, and may lead to a buildup of gas and harmful bacteria in the gut.
Murphy said the emergency vet was able to stabilize Honeybun and provide fluids, along with extensive tests including bloodwork and X-rays. He is now under the care of an exotic animal specialist for his mouth injury and may require costly dental work or even tooth extraction depending on the condition of his nerve. Despite it all, Murphy shared that Honeybun is now eating and drinking on his own and is "in better spirits." She described him as "the sweetest baby" who "loves lettuce, giving kisses, and sitting in my lap!"
The couple are fundraising for the bunny's veterinary care through a GoFundMe page.
The response on TikTok has been overwhelmingly positive, with users expressing gratitude and empathy.
"Thank you for taking this sweet bunny in and showing kindness and compassion to an animal in need," wrote PETA.
"The baby was so scared," commented Hannah.
"I also have a dumped bunny. Thank you for taking them in and saving them," added Taffy.
One user shared their own experience: "Have a similar story (un)fortunately. neighbors told me they had seen a baby bunny by the river but i kept thinking nah, surely had to be a rabbit.. and oh boy was i wrong. Luckily, I finally managed to catch him on day 3 right before we got first freezing temperatures. he's turning 4 this year."
Another echoed the sentiment: "I don't understand how people can think it's ok to just leave domestic animals out in the wild like that. thank you for rescuing and caring for this sweet baby," said Hannah.

Sabrina Carpenter Shuts Down Claims That Her 2024 'W Magazine' Photo Shoot Had a Racy Callback to 'Lolita'
A TikTok user recently accused Sabrina Carpenter of recreating a scene from Lolita in a 2024 photo shoot Shortly after the accusation, the pop star denied seeing the movie or ever having the film on her moodboard for inspiration Carpenter previously revealed in 2024 that she has "full creative control" over her careerSabrina Carpenter is defending herself online once again. This time, it's against a TikToker who alleged that she drew inspiration from 1997's Lolita for inspiration in a racy 2024 photo shoot with W Magazine. TikTok user @arcafan999 took a screenshot of @thepopfaction's post, which included an image of the pop star's photo shoot. Carpenter posed for the camera in a yellow dress while sitting barefoot in the grass. The sprinklers in the photo were on and doused Carpenter with water, causing her hair to go limp and her pale yellow Chloé dress to turn borderline see-through. The photo mirrors a scene in Lolita, where character Dolores "Lolita" Haze is soaked by water sprinklers while reading in the grass — oblivious to the fact that her dress has gone sheer, exposing her undergarments — after being drenched in water. Lolita has received backlash due to its main character, Humbert Humbert, developing a sexual obsession with Haze, who is 12 years old at the start of the novel by Vladimir Nabokov. It was adapted into movies in 1962 and 1997. "What the...I'm sorry for my language, but what the F is this?" the TikToker asked in the video. The "Espresso" singer popped into the comments section of the post and defended herself. "I've never seen this movie. It's never been on my mood board and never would be," she wrote. "'Fully grown but I look like a niña' yh sure," the creator replied, referring to the pop star's "Nonsense" outro at the Mexico stop at The Eras Tour in 2023, in which she sang, "I'm full grown but I look like a niña (child)/ Come put something big in my casita (little house)." While Carpenter denies having Lolita on her mood board, she told Variety in 2024 that she had "full creative control" of her Short n' Sweet album. 'It's my second 'big girl' album; it's a companion but it's not the same," she told the outlet at the time. "When it comes to having full creative control and being a full-fledged adult, I would consider this a sophomore album.' Carpenter's photoshoot controversy comes after her posing nude for Rolling Stone and receiving backlash for the cover of her new album, Man's Best Friend, which sees her on her hands and knees while getting her hair pulled by a man. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! Carpenter responded to an X user who reposted the Man's Best Friend album cover and wondered 'Does she have a personality outside of sex?' The Grammy-winning singer reshared the post on the social media website and responded, 'girl yes and it is goooooood.' In her Rolling Stone June cover story, Carpenter reflected on the backlash that she gets for openly singing about her sexuality in songs, and recreating sex positions when she sings, 'Wanna try out some freaky positions? Have you ever tried this one?' while performing her song "Juno" in concerts. 'It's always so funny to me when people complain,' she told the magazine. 'They're like, 'All she does is sing about this,'' she explained. 'But those are the songs that you've made popular. Clearly you love sex. You're obsessed with it. It's in my show.' Carpenter added, 'There's so many more moments than the 'Juno' positions, but those are the ones you post every night and comment on. I can't control that. If you come to the show, you'll [also] hear the ballads, you'll hear the more introspective numbers.' Man's Best Friend will be released on Aug. 29. Read the original article on People

Mini Pony 'Adopts' Cat As One of Her Own and Creates Beautiful Family
Mini Pony 'Adopts' Cat As One of Her Own and Creates Beautiful Family originally appeared on PetHelpful. The 'nuclear family' has been a popular trope in media for over a century, but the reality is that families come in all shapes and sizes. Family members may be related by blood, by marriage, or by choice, and they could be made up of anyone, regardless of age, relationship, or even species. Dog and cat parents know that pets are part of the family, but one adorable June 11 TikTok video showed that Cupcake the mini horse understands this, too. As a new mom, Cupcake is ready and willing to care for anyone who needs a little love, including a friendly barn cat named Rocky. Luckily, the tabby cat is more than happy to join the family! Their human mom couldn't help but smile when she found Cupcake, her new foal named Strawberry Shortcake, and Rocky the cat all relaxing in their stall together. They really are one big happy family! Aren't they simply adorable? At first glance, I thought the Mama Horse named Cupcake had adopted two cats, but the tiny foal (who was also a surprise arrival) is the one lying down furthest from the camera. And that's no trick of the light. She really is that small! "That cat is the same size as the foal," one commenter wrote in disbelief. Miniature ponies are fun-sized to begin with, but this day-old foal is especially tiny. Even when she grows up, though, she's not going to outgrow her feline friend by commenter was onto something when she wrote, "Cats do communal kitten raising, so she's there to help." Rocky the friendly cat is actually a boy, but he's been extremely involved ever since Strawberry was born! He naps with her, watches over her, and even tries to play with her! These two are too cute! Rocky can't help but poke his new pony pal in an attempt to say hello, but all he does is startle himself in the process. Even though he clearly loves Strawberry, he seems to still be getting used to the idea of having a baby around. This rambunctious cat may be looking forward to having a new playmate to pass the time with, but this newborn foal is still too sleepy to do very much. As she grows up, however, these two are going to be the best of friends! Looking for more PetHelpful updates? Follow us on YouTube for more entertaining videos. Still, Brosnahan used this as an opportunity to speak more about Lois Lane and Clark Kent's relationship and how it has already been established. More Entertainment: James Gunn Reacts to Rumors 'The Batman 2' Is Canceled "So James didn't want to do the same origin story that we're so familiar with," Brosnahan said. "Where Superman and Lois don't know each other. Where she's kind of investigating him. "So we start with them already established in the world. Clark is a journalist at The Daily Planet. And, you know, there's some love in the air. They're at the point in their relationship where they're trying to figure out if this was just a fling or if this is a forever thing." "And they're really really different," Brosnahan continued. "They have totally opposite worldviews. She's somebody who prides herself on being ten steps ahead of everyone at any given moment. And he's somebody who's radically present and in the moment. "And that can be, you know, they butt up against each other sometimes. They have really different views of how to solve problems. And so they're working it out in real time when we meet them in this movie." More Entertainment: Robert Downey Jr. Surprises 'Ironheart' Stars with Interview Appearance This echoed what Brosnahan told Nick Romano of EW on June 10, noting that despite their differences, Superman and Lois Lane are perfect partners, besides being at odds with each other, especially in the interview scene that can be seen in the trailer. "It's a combination of them both clicking into, in some ways, their super alter egos, "but that's also juxtaposed with their great love for each other," Brosnahan said. "I don't know if she would call it that quite yet, but they care about each other. Dial S for Super! They both feel very strongly about the stance that they're taking in that scene. "It's one of the things that I love about their love story. While they have totally opposite worldviews, they complete each other, and they kind of need each other." "Superman" will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
