During an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Brosnahan made it known that she felt comfortable speaking about spoilers because of Gunn, although she still didn't want anyone to "Tom Holland" her.
Still, Brosnahan used this as an opportunity to speak more about Lois Lane and Clark Kent's relationship and how it has already been established.

"So James didn't want to do the same origin story that we're so familiar with," Brosnahan said. "Where Superman and Lois don't know each other. Where she's kind of investigating him.
"So we start with them already established in the world. Clark is a journalist at The Daily Planet. And, you know, there's some love in the air. They're at the point in their relationship where they're trying to figure out if this was just a fling or if this is a forever thing."
"And they're really really different," Brosnahan continued. "They have totally opposite worldviews. She's somebody who prides herself on being ten steps ahead of everyone at any given moment. And he's somebody who's radically present and in the moment.
"And that can be, you know, they butt up against each other sometimes. They have really different views of how to solve problems. And so they're working it out in real time when we meet them in this movie."

This echoed what Brosnahan told Nick Romano of EW on June 10, noting that despite their differences, Superman and Lois Lane are perfect partners, besides being at odds with each other, especially in the interview scene that can be seen in the trailer.
"It's a combination of them both clicking into, in some ways, their super alter egos, "but that's also juxtaposed with their great love for each other," Brosnahan said. "I don't know if she would call it that quite yet, but they care about each other.

Rachel Brosnahan shares strong thoughts on actors who slam their own superhero movies
It appears Rachel Brosnahan's kryptonite is actors who "pooh-pooh" on their own superhero movies. Speaking with her pal Amanda Seyfried for Interview magazine, Brosnahan, soon to appear as Lois Lane in James Gunn's upcoming Superman, called on actors to "stand by" their work within the genre regardless of whether they turn out to be total flops. It came after Seyfried observed that Brosnahan and costar David Corenswet, the Clark Kent/Superman to her Lois Lane, were "both so happy to be involved" in the superhero production, adding, "That's the thing about these movies: You can feel it when people are doing it with passion and grace and curiosity." "I don't know why people say yes only to then turn around and complain about it," Brosnahan said. "Look, I don't want to s--- on other actors, but there was a minute where it was cool to not like superhero movies and to look back on projects like this and pooh-pooh them. Do it or don't do it, and then stand by it." Seyfried noted, "I honestly don't think you should call it a superhero movie ever again, because it isn't just that, and I think people are going to see that. It's really important to have this kind superhero, this guy who's just trying to do his best."Gunn's retelling of Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent soars into theaters July 8. It also stars Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern. Corenswet echoed somewhat similar sentiments in Entertainment Weekly's recent Superman cover story alongside his leading lady and director, sharing an appreciation for taking "the work very seriously" despite judgments surrounding the genre. "I've listened to Christopher Reeve talk about how he felt going from theater and a classical training to wearing tights on screen," he said. "It's harder in some ways to play Superman and then to do a great play or a dramatic film, because as an actor, you feel like the seriousness of the work somehow supports you. It allows the whole thing to feel more grounded. There is a unique challenge to playing a guy who wears his underwear on the outside and can fly. I think I had the great fortune of getting a little bit of both. Rachel Brosnahan Opens Up About Her First Day Playing Lois Lane in SUPERMAN and Shooting Opposite an Absent Krypto — GeekTyrant
We are just weeks away from finally seeing James Gunn's Superman come to life on the big screen, and press rounds are in full swing. Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane in the film, sat down with fellow actress Amanda Seyfried in a chat for Interview Magazine, and Brosnahan delved into what it was like to make the film, starting with her first day on set. When asked if the shoot included a table read, Brosnahan confirmed, and explained, 'It was amazing. Everyone was there. I think they filmed some of it. They took a lot of pictures. When we first got these jobs, we got to read the script once, on one device. So to hear it out loud got us all really excited.' Once shooting began, Brosnahan said, 'I got really lucky because my first couple days, we were shooting the 10-page scene that David and I had tested with. It felt like we could have been shooting an indie movie in a basement somewhere, which was amazing because we got to really discover these characters.' She went on, 'We made out for a couple of hours and then we shot a 10-page-long scene. That'll jump you in really fast and build a really quick foundation. [Laughs]' Once the foundation was built, the actors got to dive right into the action we've seen teased in the film. When asked if she was hooked up to wires to fly for the film, Brosnahan teased, 'I got to do a different thing, which I'm not really allowed to talk about, that didn't involve wires but felt like maybe it should have. It was nuts. [Laughs]' When asked if she was scared at any point, the actress said, 'No. This stunt team is the best in the world. No matter how high up you get pulled or what ceiling you're hanging from, you're in good hands. I have some really cute videos of David and I doing air ballet hanging from the ceiling that, once we actually release, I'll post.' Brosnahan went on to talk about her scene with Krypto, the Super Dog, saying, 'I shot a scene with the dog, Krypto. He's so cute, but at least in my scene, there were limitations with the set that meant I couldn't shoot with the stand-in. There was a stand-in dog, but sometimes there was also a person in a CGI suit who played the dog, and then sometimes there was nothing, so I've never felt like a worse actor in my entire life.' Seyfried assured Brosnahan, revealing, 'You were probably great. I did Ted 2 and I just talked to a tennis ball.' Brosnahan joked, 'I would've loved a tennis ball. There was nothing there. James was on the god mic somewhere far away, going, 'No. Rachel, you put your hand through the dog. Stop putting your hand through the dog.' [Laughs]' It sound like it was a blast of a shoot, and from what we've seen so far, the movie looks like it's going to be so much fun! Superman hits theaters on July 11th, and tickets are on sale now.
