Rangers FC boss Barry Ferguson supports armed forces cause
The partnership with Forces Children Scotland and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) culminated in a £10,000 donation from the foundation's armed forces fund, which was split between the two charities.

The foundation worked with both charities throughout the season to help spread messages about their work.
It also hosted a weekend of activities with TAPS for surviving families of two fallen heroes from the UK and America.
Barry said: "I think it is so important that we show our support for our armed services and veterans, so it's great that the foundation is making this important donation for the two charities.
"I enjoyed meeting some of the men and women serving our country at the recent Armed Forces Day at Ibrox.
"I know how hard the Rangers Charity Foundation works to make a difference.
"It's a cause I've been a strong supporter of, ever since my playing days at the club, and I'd like to thank all the supporters who have given the foundation their backing to enable this donation to be made today."
Connal Cochrane, foundation chief executive, said: 'Our Armed Forces Fund donations this season are for two fantastic causes which do incredible work to support the wider armed forces community.
'We're proud to be able to support them, on behalf of the Rangers Family, and know that this represents just one aspect of our work throughout the year which, alongside the Club, recognises the dedication and sacrifice of armed services personnel and veterans.'
TAPS is an American non-profit organisation designed to provide care and resources for those grieving a death in the military or veteran community.
Jessica Harper, director of sports and entertainment for TAPS, said: "We are so grateful to Rangers for their continued support of TAPS and to be a Rangers Charity Foundation Armed Forces Fund beneficiary.
"This support helps to create meaningful connections of hope, healing and care for military families from the US and the UK."

Forces Children Scotland works directly with children and young people from armed forces and veteran families across Scotland.

A Scottish cyclist has made history by becoming the first Scot to win the prestigious Tour de Feminin – just a year after a serious road crash left her fearing she might never race again. Kate Richardson, 22, claimed the top spot on the podium in the gruelling four-stage race through the mountains of the Czech Republic, capping off a remarkable comeback. The Glasgow rider had been on a final training session ahead of last year's Tour of Britain when she was struck from behind by a 4×4, suffering a fractured scapula, concussion and severe road burns in June last year. STV News Kate's race clothes were left torn up following the collision 'I tried to bounce back like it was a normal injury,' Kate said. 'But a few months down the line, I realised it wasn't a normal situation. I needed more support than just trying to get back on the bike.' The physical recovery was tough, but it was the mental toll that truly challenged her. 'I was scared to ride on the road. I just lost my love for the sport. If you'd asked me in January, I didn't think I'd be in front of a race again.' She returned to competition after nearly a year of rebuilding both her body and confidence, and is now celebrating a landmark victory. Her win at the Tour de Feminin marks not just a career high, but a personal triumph over adversity. 'I had no idea what direction my career was going in,' she told STV News. 'But it all happened pretty quickly, I finally got into a rhythm with racing, I did some local and national races and built it back up. 'To pull that off, in that team, with some of my best friends who really rode out their skin to help protect me in the jersey on that final day. 'It meant so much to me and my family who have lived through the last year with me. STV News She became the first Scot to win the Tour de Feminin 'I wouldn't' ever want to wish to relive what I've been through but it's not until you've been through something like that do you realise how strong you are.' A rising star of Scottish cyclist, Kate took gold in the Individual Pursuit and the Team Pursuit in the Manchester Velodrome at the British National Championships in February last year. Just three months later, and weeks after a crash on the road in the Netherlands, she stormed to the front of the Lincoln Grand Prix – the oldest road race in the UK. Now she hopes to continue her success on the track at next year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. STV News With previous success on the track, she's now looking ahead to the Commonwealth Games Kate said: 'I'd like to think I could be a medal contender in a few events. 'We've got people like Katie Archibald and Neah Evans, it's a very established team. 'If my family were in the crowd and we could win, and hear Flower of Scotland, that's pretty epic, that's what dreams are made of.' The offending player has appeared in court and pleaded guilty to the charge. Just after the hour mark, McGachy was fouled by an opponent and became embroiled in an argument over the severity of the tackle. The player pushed McGachy, who then knocked the other man to the ground. He split his lip and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he needed 10 stitches and his incisor tooth had to be re-inserted. McGachy appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to the February 19, 2023 assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement. He had originally appeared on petition for a more serious version of the charge. Sheriff Kevin Duffy accepted that McGachy was a first offender and he pleaded guilty at the earliest stage, and that the crime was under provocation. He fined McGachy £400, plus a victim surcharge of £20, as well as having to pay £200 in compensation to the other player. Sheriff Duffy said: "Clearly this offence is out of character." McGachy's lawyer Judith Reid added: "This matter has hung over him for some considerable period of time. "He fully appreciates the complainer had suffered an injury and might merit compensation, despite the provocation. "I think the injuries are more unfortunate as a result of the physical altercation that started as a result of the complainer."
