
Ingolf wildfire now under control: Ontario Forest Fires

A wildfire that broke out near Ingolf, Ont., is now under control after raging for weeks.
Ontario Forest Fires posted on its X page that continued suppression efforts and rainfall have stopped the flames from spreading.
The Ontario forest fire info map measured the fire at 36,043 hectares on Tuesday morning, while Manitoba's fire map estimates the blaze to be about 5,410 hectares on its side of the border.
'Thank you to the hundreds of personnel whose efforts helped bring this fire under control,' the post said.
The fire first broke out on May 12 near the Manitoba-Ontario border and caused evacuations in a number of neighbouring communities, many of which remain in effect
