The society soirée of the summer! Royals and aristocrats don their finest tartan for Greek shipping heiress's lavish 30th birthday bash in Scottish castle
The 28-year-old socialite and model, who is King Charles ' goddaughter, was part of an exclusive guest list for Greek shipping heiress Electra Niarchos's 30th birthday party in Scotland this weekend.
Princess Olympia opted to wear a sleeveless tartan mini-dress with a spiked tiara in a nod to the event's 'Tartan Punk Creatures' theme while partying the night away with her new boyfriend, Argentinian businessman Martin Pacanowski.
The daughter of Prince Pavlos and Princess Marie-Chantal, named Tatler's 'most eligible single' in 2023, was first linked to the dashing hotelier last March - after Olympia and Peregrine ended their three-year relationship.
Peregrine, who is the son of Viscount Cowdray and among Britain's most eligible men, has since found love with American actress, the Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
At the time, The Daily Mail's Richard Eden reported that Olympia and Martin have 'known each other for a very long time and get on extremely well' - and sparks were certainly flying between the two at Electra's Scottish birthday celebrations.
Fresh from their recent holiday in Greece with Olympia's family, the couple were inseparable at Electra's 30th birthday festivities as the who's who of European aristocracy and fashion royalty wore kilts and spiked chokers for a night of punk partying.
Held at the historic Barnbougle Castle just outside Edinburgh, the party's most high-profile attendees included Jemma Kidd - the model ex-wife of the Earl of Mornington - fashion darling Camille Rowe and Russian art collector and ex-wife of Roman Abramovich, Dasha Zhukova.
The castle, on the edge of the Firth of Forth, is owned by the aristocratic Rosebery family and once belonged to the eccentric 5th Earl of Rosebery - a former Prime Minister who famously kept parrots, slept in a tent, and entertained Winston Churchill.
With its wood-panelled halls, grand turrets and dramatic sea views, it offered the perfect setting for a decadent night of high society mischief.
The birthday girl Electra - daughter of billionaire art collector Philip Niarchos - embraced the theme in a midriff-baring tartan co-ord with fluted sleeves, a dramatic train and spiked neck collar.
She was joined by all her siblings, including older brother Theo Niarchos and his fiancee Camille, the French-American model and fashion darling, who paired a yellow tartan mini with YSL's towering Bianca platform heels and a vintage fur stole.
Dasha, 44, the Russian-born art collector and fashion investor, flew in with her husband Stavros Niarchos III, Electra's brother and a fixture of the international jet set.
Dasha, formerly married to ex-Chelsea FC owner Abramovich, wore a backless tartan gown and giggled while posing for pictures with Italian aristocrat Bianca Brandolini, 38.
Bianca posted photos from the party on Instagram, with the caption: 'She said "tart it up". So we did. Happiest birthday my Electra Niarchos, you really punked us.'
She later posed with jewellery designers Noor Fares and Electra's sister Eugenie inside a tartan-draped marquee lit by strobes, where guests danced into the early hours.

Also in the crowd was Flynn Busson - son of supermodel Elle Macpherson and financier Arpad Busson - who wore green tartan trousers and a black suit jacket.
He was joined by his dad and his dad's girlfriend, the former model and beauty entrepreneur Jemma Kidd - sister of Nineties catwalk queen, Jodie Kidd.
Guests embraced the theme with punk veils, studded chokers, leather corsets, chainmail, and more tartan than a Highland wedding.
Fashion designer Peter Dundas - known for dressing Madonna, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian - wore a custom kilt and metallic body armour, while socialites layered lace, fishnet and PVC with plaid skirts and harnesses.
Olympia's brother, Achileas of Greece, was joined by a crew of sharply dressed aristocrats in mix-and-match tartan, sporrans and sunglasses.
Inside the castle, tartan tents, tartan walls, tartan tablecloths - and of course, tartan outfits - set the scene for a night of unfiltered revelry.
Olympia was first spotted with her Argentinian beau at a London party last March, when the then-rumoured couple were photographed arm-in-arm together on the red carpet.
However, she was also linked to celebrity chef Thomas Straker a few months prior in November 2023 when they were spotted leaving Olympia's Notting Hill home together.
The Daily Mail's Richard Eden reported that Olympia and Martin have 'known each other for a very long time and get on extremely well' - and sparks were certainly flying between the two at Electra's Scottish birthday celebrations. Here, they are seen attending a London party last March
Thomas, 35, whose cooking videos went viral on social media during the pandemic, shares two daughters with his actress wife Davina Pownall after the couple tied the knot in Wiltshire in 2015.
At the time, MailOnline reported news of Thomas's alleged infidelity had left Davina 'devastated' according to friends of the couple.
Before making her relationship with Martin - whose family owns the luxurious CasaSur hotel chain in Argentina - Olympia dated the son and heir of Michael Pearson, 4th Viscount Cowdray - whose family has a reputed £224million fortune - for three years.
Peregrine's father owns a significant portion of the Pearson media empire as well as the 16,500-acre Cowdray Park estate in West Sussex.
It is home to Cowdray Park polo club, where Princes William and Harry have played.
Having moved away from her former family home in Cheyne Walk, Chelsea, Olympia now lives in Notting Hill with her sausage dog, Echo, who she adopted during the coronavirus lockdown.

How the Royal Family's summer excursions to the Mediterranean have noticeably changed: From Prince Charles' iconic windsurfing trip to Gary Goldsmith's Ibiza cocaine scandal as William and Kate are spotted on a £40million yacht in Greece
Like thousands of families across Britain, Prince William and his family escaped to the Mediterranean this summer for some well earnt sun and relaxation. It is understood that William and Kate holidayed in Greece where they travelled around the idyllic Ionian Islands on a luxury £40million yacht. The Prince and Princess of Wales - along with Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte - first travelled to Kefalonia before they were spotted off the coast of the tiny island of Ithaca. The royals then dropped anchor at nearby Zakynthos for a very special reason. During the weekend, the Daily Mail reported that a tender boat was despatched on a special mission. Locals on Zakynthos have half-jokingly speculated that the 12-year-old George might fancied a fast food treat. Sources remain tight-lipped about the what the purpose of the trip was but allegedly the young Prince - seemingly having grown tired of Greek staples such as souvlaki and moussaka - might have fancied a McDonalds. The amusing stories emerging from the Waleses' Greek escapades are reminiscent of holidays that a young William enjoyed with the now King Charles III and his late mother Princess Diana. Throughout the 80s and 90s, William and Harry enjoyed a number of yachting excursions across the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean yet there remains noticeable differences between those enjoyed by William today. Indeed, the now adult Prince of Wales has been keen to make sure his family trips remain private. However, while the Prince was growing up, Charles and Diana were pictured in their swimsuits in remarkably intimate and candid shots. One of the most famous yachting holidays taken by the couple was during their trip to Majorca in 1986. They were invited by the King of Spain - Juan Carlos I - to visit the popular tourist destination where they reportedly visited its most popular resorts including Palma and Cala Major - where the Spanish Royal Family's summer residence is located. This is in stark contrast to Wills most recent trip to Greece where the Daily Mail has learned that not once during the sailing trip did the royals set foot on any of the islands. Pictures that emerged from the trip suggest it was a holiday Charles and Diana enjoyed. In one image, Diana could be seen diving off the side of the Spanish yacht into the sea. Meanwhile Charles was spotted enjoying a spot of windsurfing. William and Kate holidayed on the neighbouring island of Ibiza in 2006 while they were courting. While staying on the party island, the future Prince and Princess of Wales were pictured sunbathing together on the bow of a yacht. During this holiday, they were invited to stay at Kate's 'bad boy' uncle Gary Goldsmith's £3.6million villa alongside Pippa and James Middleton and Prince Harry. The luxury pad boasted an infinity swimming pool and a tennis court, but it quickly became known as 'La Maison de Bang Bang' – crude French slang for the house of sex – because of his penchant for wild parties. In 2009, the trip made headlines after The News Of The World printed a shocking photo of Kate's uncle - Gary Goldsmith - seemingly preparing to snort cocaine on their front page. Gary had unwittingly invited two journalists from the paper into his villa in Ibiza where he shared stories about Kate and Wills time at his home including a tale of how William broke his ornamental pyramids. Another famous trip taken to the Med by Charles and Diana was their holiday to Italy in 1991. The excursion was dubbed their 'second honeymoon' as it came shortly after the couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Sailing along the coast of Italy, the royals enjoyed the splendour of the Alexander - which at the time was the third biggest yacht in the world - where they were joined by the former King and Queen of Greece, Constantine and Anne-Marie, as well as Prince Charles's cousin, Lord Romsey, and his wife, Lady Penelope and all their children. Charles and Diana swimming in the sea off the coast of Sardinia. From what is known now their marriage was very much on the rocks by the summer of 1991 Diana aboard Mohammed al Fayed's yacht in Saint Tropez While the press dubbed the trip a 'happy family holiday', Charles and Diana would separate just over a year later in December 1992 and from what is known now their marriage was very much on the rocks by the summer of 1991. Princess Diana would continue to take yachting holidays after her separation and later divorce from Charles in 1996. Her most notorious trip would tragically become her last when she spent the summer of 1997 sailing around southern Europe with Mohamed al Fayed and his son Dodi al Fayed. At Mohamed's invitation Diana traveled to the south of France, with William and Harry, in July that year for a week away at his home in Saint-Tropez and on his private yacht. It was on this holiday that the Princess met Dodi and a romance soon blossomed. Diana enjoyed the break. The Princess was pictured smiling and enjoying herself aboard the luxury vessel and Harry would write in his memoir, Spare, that 'everything about that trip to St. Tropez was heaven'. A month later, Diana returned to the French Riviera and spent more time with Dodid travelling to Corsica and Sardinia on his yacht. The pair were soon photographed together leading to a summer of speculation in the media about what their relationship was. The Daily Mail ran a headline on August 7 which read 'Diana's cruise with playboy Dodi'. It was during this fateful holiday that Princess Diana was snapped sitting at the end of the yacht's diving board. Alone, wearing a striking turquoise swimming costume the picture instantly became one of the most notorious photos from that summer as just days later both Dodi and Diana would dead following a car crash in Paris. Two years later, in August 1999, Camilla joined Charles and his sons for a yacht cruise around the Aegean in what Richard Kay at the Daily Mail described at the time as 'the most significant development in their relationship since their "coming-out" photocall on the steps of the Ritz Hotel' where they officially announced their relationship. Since their marriage in 2005, Charles and Camilla have continued to enjoy yachting. In 2008 they embarked on a royal tour of the Caribbean where they traveled by boat to destinations such as Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.

Alex Polizzi: ‘The place I'd never go back to? Hong Kong'
Alex Polizzi, 53, is a hotelier, businesswoman and TV personality best known since 2008 as the presenter of The Hotel Inspector on Channel 5. In the show she visits struggling British hotels to try to turn their fortunes around by giving advice and suggestions to their owners or managers, often undertaking renovation projects on their behalf. Her uncle Sir Rocco Forte and her mother Olga Polizzi co-founded the Rocco Forte Hotels group. Polizzi owns the Polizzi Collection of three UK hotels. She lives in London with her two children, Olga, 17, and Rocco, 12. I travel all over Britain for The Hotel Inspector, and I always feel I've seen it all. On a trip to the Scottish Borders, just before the pandemic, one young couple proved otherwise. They had a pub with rooms that had been donated by a parent, but they had absolutely no interest in it. The husband droned on about hand-churning butter while the place fell apart. I stayed the night and agreed to meet his wife downstairs at 9am with our crew of eight. At 10.30am she finally arrived, dressed in a kangaroo onesie. I was really cross — it had taken us six hours to get there and she couldn't even be bothered to get out of bed. I loved growing up around hotels and always took it for granted. A hotel always stands out for me if it has good service. A not-particularly-beautiful hotel becomes somewhere special if the staff are amazing. I love working in my own hotels, and people are amazed when they see me. They say, 'Why are you working?' But I like clearing and cleaning tables, sorting things out. There's the odd unfortunate moment, though. In my East Sussex hotel, the Star at Alfriston, a lady complained recently because the coat she'd hung up had disappeared — it turned out another guest had worn it in the garden because she was cold. • 18 of the best hotels in Venice The last time I stayed at a five-star hotel that wasn't one of my uncle's was the Ritz in Paris in 2019. I felt it was snobby — we weren't quite their target clientele, and it was full of extremely rich, soignée ladies with expensive shopping bags, while I was there with my daughter and we were in trainers. My favourite hotel, for a luxurious weekend, is the Aman Venice overlooking the Grand Canal. It's extraordinarily expensive but with a wonderful sitting room, bar and high frescoed ceilings. For a countryside retreat, it has to be Le Mas de Peint in the Camargue. I also love the hotel L'Arlatan in Arles, Provence, where there are so many brilliant food markets. One place I'd never go back to is Hong Kong, where I trained at the Mandarin Oriental for three years in my twenties. I found the region overcrowded, dirty and polluted — it's a fun place to visit if you're really rich, but not if you're not. The hotel was wonderful, though, and the training was dedicated and professional. I think they had three times as many staff as guests and wages were very low. My mother had to send me money every month so I could work there. • Revealed: 100 Best Places to Stay in the UK for 2025 I grew up in Bayswater in west London. My mother was widowed when I was nine, and we always had the same family holidays after that: winters skiing in France at her friend's chalet, and summers in the Algarve. My grandparents stayed in their hotel, the Dona Filipa, and rented a villa nearby for 13 grandchildren; I was the eldest. We had a rigid schedule: breakfast at 8am, lunch at 1pm and right on time for dinner in the hotel. My grandfather played golf all day with my uncle while we swam, and he let me drive the golf buggy if I didn't chat too much. Once, aged ten, I drove it into a bunker and they had to tow it out. In later years my sister and I would sneak out of our bedroom window to a local nightclub with a gang of teenagers that went every year. My first trip as a grown-up was backpacking from Thailand to Malaysia with my friend Felicia when I was 18. Felicia had her passport stolen and we had no phones, but at that age you feel invulnerable. We stayed in hostels with no showers and were incredibly grubby, so it was a real highlight when Mum paid for us to have two nights at Bangkok's Mandarin Oriental. They looked us up and down when we arrived. We didn't leave for a day, and we had room service and shower after shower. Reality returned in Malaysia when we arrived at our hostel and an enormous live rat fell through the ceiling. I'm a much more anxious person now than I was then and my children don't enjoy being with me so much. I loved holidays when they were little and wanted to play with me on the beach, in places like Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean. I recently visited New York with my daughter and had to find a hotel where I could afford two rooms. Only my son is young enough not to mind sharing a room with me!The Hotel Inspector airs on Thursdays at 8pm on Channel 5 In our weekly My Hols interview, famous faces from the worlds of film, sport, politics, and more share their travel stories from childhood to the present day.
