Jordan on Wednesday received the fourth group of patients from the Gaza Strip as part of the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative, which aims to evacuate 2,000 ailing children from Gaza to receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals.
A total of 16 patients and 44 accompanying family members arrived in Jordan today. Among them, four patients were airlifted from Gaza to Marka Military Airport, with the support of the Jordan Armed Forces, the Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Additionally, 12 patients entered Jordan by land through the King Hussein Bridge in the southern Jordan Valley. They were then transferred via Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft to Marka Airport, and subsequently to the King Hussein Cancer Center or other hospitals as needed.
Since the launch of the initiative under royal directives in early March, Jordan has received 39 children and 75 family members across three previous phases.
Seventeen children, along with their families, have since returned to Gaza following the completion of their treatment.
The first group arrived on March 4, with 29 children accompanied by 44 family members.
The second group was received on May 14 and included four children battling cancer and 12 relatives.
The third group arrived on May 20, with six cancer patients and 19 accompanying family members.
His Majesty King Abdullah II announced the initiative during his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House on February 11, 2025.

Army: Nurse Injured at the Jordanian Field Hospital South of Gaza - Jordan News
