Twin telepathy: Identical twin sisters go viral after uncanny in-sync interview discussing mom's alleged carjacking

Identical twin sisters are going viral for a news interview about their mom being carjacked in Australia — in which they appear to show uncanny telepathy, speaking in near-perfect unison.
Bridgette and Paula Powers, both 50, gained traction online as the interview with 7News Queensland caught them finishing each other's sentences and mirroring their hand gestures as they discussed their mother's gunpoint ordeal.

'And one guy, he was up there with our mom… he goes, run, he's got a gun,' one sister recounted — while the other mirrored her speech perfectly.
'And our hearts started to pound. And I said, 'Oh Mom, where's Mom?' And poor mom was stuck up there.'
The sisters continue retelling the horrific story in near-perfect unison, telling the interviewer together that their mom showed compassion to her attacker.

'Apparently our brave mom, she goes, 'Are you all right?' Because [the attacker] had blood all over his face. And he goes: 'I'll shoot you.' She goes: 'Hey, I'm here to help.''
'Mom distracted him to make him look the other way, and he looked the other way, and Mom ran into the bush behind the fence. The guy goes, 'I'll find you and I'll shoot you,'' they said at the same time.

Both sisters, in unison, said the entire time they were hoping, 'I hope he doesn't fire.'
The sisters and their mother all walked away from the horrific incident unscathed.
The sisters have previously gone viral for speaking in sync.
It's not the first time the pair, who are founders of Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue, have gone viral for their synchronous responses during an interview.

The duo, known throughout Australia for their rescue work, also went viral in 2016 after answering every question in unison on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain,' according to Mediaite.
While their synchrony stunned hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, the twins explained it was just a result of their lifelong bond.

Kneecap's surprise London performance begins a day after terror charge
Rap trio Kneecap's surprise performance has begun in London, a day after one of their members was charged with a terror offence. The Metropolitan Police said on Wednesday that Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, had been charged over the alleged display of a flag in support of Hezbollah at a gig at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, north London, in November last year. The group from Belfast, who rap in the Irish language, announced they would perform at the 100 Club on Oxford Street on Thursday evening, ahead of their headline slot at Wide Awake Festival in Brockwell Park, south London, on Friday night. O hAnnaidh arrived at the central London venue on Thursday in a silver Mercedes and happily posed for a photographer. The Metropolitan Police said: 'A policing plan is in place around tonight's event to ensure it passes off safely. 'This is primarily in terms of managing visitors to the venue for what we understand is a spontaneous and sold-out event. 'There have been no issues or arrests.' At least three officers were seen entering the venue while others were outside. The band said on X that the event sold out in 90 seconds, with 2,000 people on the waiting list. In a post on social media earlier announcing the gig, Kneecap said: 'London. We're back. See you at The 100 Club tonight – tickets on sale in one hour at 4pm.' The post contained a quote from former Sex Pistols singer John Lydon who told ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB) 'maybe they need a bloody good kneecapping' in response to the 'kill your MP' footage. The venue confirmed the gig in a social media post and said doors to the event will open at 7.30pm. O hAnnaidh, 27, was charged by postal requisition and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on June 18, the Metropolitan Police said. In response to the charge, the group said in a social media statement: '14,000 babies are about to die of starvation in Gaza, with food sent by the world sitting on the other side of a wall, and once again the British establishment is focused on us. 'We deny this 'offence' and will vehemently defend ourselves, this is political policing, this is a carnival of distraction. 'We are not the story, genocide is, as they profit from genocide, they use an 'anti-terror law' against us for displaying a flag thrown on stage. A charge not serious enough to even warrant their crown court, instead a court that doesn't have a jury. What's the objective? 'To restrict our ability to travel. To prevent us speaking to young people across the world. To silence voices of compassion. To prosecute artists who dare speak out. 'Instead of defending innocent people, or the principles of international law they claim to uphold, the powerful in Britain have abetted slaughter and famine in Gaza, just as they did in Ireland for centuries. Then, like now, they claim justification. 'The IDF units they arm and fly spy plane missions for are the real terrorists, the whole world can see it.' Officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command were made aware on April 22 of an online video from the event, police said. They apologised last month to the families of murdered MPs but said footage of the incident had been 'exploited and weaponised'. Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch has called for Kneecap to be banned while other politicians pushed for the group to be dropped from the Glastonbury Festival line-up. In 2024, the band released an eponymous film starring Oscar-nominated actor Michael Fassbender which is a fictionalised retelling of how the band came together and follows the Belfast group on their mission to save their mother tongue through music. Formed in 2017, the group – made up of O hAnnaidh, Naoise O Caireallain and JJ O Dochartaigh – are known for their provocative lyrics and merchandise as well as their championing of the Irish language. A Watford carpenter who considered suicide when thieves swiped £12k of tools appeared on national television yesterday to discuss his ordeal. Laurence Fox denies sharing upskirting image of TV star
Laurence Fox has denied sharing an intimate image of TV star Narinder Kaur without her consent on social media. The actor-turned-politician is alleged to have shared the 'upskirting' image of Kaur, a broadcaster who appears on Good Morning Britain and GB News, on X in April 2024. Fox, 46, of Peldon in Essex, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with two counts under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. During the hearing, he spoke to confirm his identity and enter not guilty pleas to both charges. He was released on bail on condition that he does not contact the complainant directly or indirectly. Upskirting, taking pictures of people under their clothes without their permission, became a specific criminal offence in 2019. Offenders found guilty of upskirting face up to two years in prison for taking an image or video under somebody's clothing in order to see their genitals or underwear. It is also against the law to share upskirting photographs taken by other people. The Metropolitan Police said the person who took the original photograph of Kaur has not yet been identified. Kaur has chosen to waive her right to anonymity, which victims of sexual offences are automatically entitled to as soon as they make an allegation. Fox's charge over the alleged sharing of the image came after a month-long investigation. Fox is accused in the first count of sharing a "photograph or film of person in intimate state intending to cause alarm, distress or humiliation", with the second alleging he sent a "photograph or film of genitals to cause alarm, distress or humiliation". He will appear at Woolwich Crown Court for a pre-trial hearing on 23 May after choosing to proceed with a jury trial. Fox made his name as an actor in TV shows like Inspector Morse spin-off Lewis. In recent years he has repositioned himself as a right-wing commentator, activist and aspiring politician. He set up the Reclaim Party and unsuccessfully stood for election for London mayor in 2021. In 2023, Fox was sacked from his role as a TV presenter on GB News after an on-air rant about a female journalist.
