Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails swap drummers, Ilan Rubin joins Foo Fighters as Josh Freese heads back to Nine Inch Nails. Foo Fighters have announced that Ilan Rubin will be joining them as their new drummer, while Josh Freese will return to Nine Inch Nails. Rubin had been a touring member of Nine Inch Nails since 2009 and holds the distinction of being the youngest inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 at age 32. Freese, who had been with Foo Fighters since 2023 following the death of Taylor Hawkins, will be rejoining Nine Inch Nails, a band he previously played with from 2005 to 2008. Paul Mario Day, original Iron Maiden singer, dies at 69. It was announced that the vocalist for the British heavy metal band passed away yesterday. While an official cause of death has not been revealed, Day had reportedly been battling cancer in recent years. Day was with Iron Maiden from December 1975 to October 1976 and sang at their first concert in May of the same year. The follow-up film will not be a direct sequel, but rather a new chapter focusing on the more recent (and negative) impact of the social media platform, drawing inspiration from The Wall Street Journal's investigative series, The Facebook Files .
