Chart-topping 00s singer looks unrecognisable as he performs hit song in new video
A singer who achieved huge chart success in the noughties was seen performing on the street in London as he belted a rendition of his most famous hit single
A former pop star who scored a UK Top 3 single was unrecognisable as he performed on a London street. Just Jack rose to fame in 2007 when he released his hit single Starz In Their Eyes which reached No2 in the UK singles chart.
The musician - real name Jack Christopher Allsopp - treated passers by to a rendition of the track in Kings Cross as he joined forces with DJ AG. Jack, 49, wowed passers by as he performed with a guitarist in a video uploaded to Instagram.
Fans rushed to comment on the clip as they reminisced about the track and heaped praise on the singer. One fan wrote: "Im 31! I was 14 when this tune came out, I remember having summer party's in the fields with my mates whilst drinking a few bevvy's and this bought back some incredible nostalgia.
"He may not realise, but this song along with a few in the years ahead of it, changed peoples lives! Incredible writer, incredible musician. Was nice to hear this and bring back memories I had once forgotten about."
A second said: "It's good to see him back. Just jack - long grass. One of the best songs you've never heard! Check that out if you don't know absolute banger!"
A third commented: "I ain't heard this for timeeeee…Man like Just Jack you know…Big tune." A fourth said: "This song was a huge part of my childhood and it helped shape who I am today. Thank you."
A fifth shared: "Damn, this just bought back something I forgot existed." Jack was a huge star around the release of the song and ended up playing a string of huge festival dates including Glastonbury Festival, V Festival and T4 on the Beach.
He has released five studio albums over the years The Outer Marker, Overtones, All Night Cinema, What We Did Today and That Was Now. The performer still makes music now and is now a dad too.
He told LadBible in 2023: "I never tried to make a big radio hit. I never really wanted to be like a pop star. It was a strange time, it was a stressful time. I ended up being in a lot of environments that I wasn't particularly comfortable in.
"I was grateful for the radio plays and stuff like that, but I never felt at home with pop people. That's never how I saw myself." He added: "I've always been a bit of a control freak.
"I think being in that world where you have managers and record labels and all these people around you pulling you in lots of different directions and things not always going as planned, there are so many things that you don't really have control over.
"Now I have full control over literally everything, which obviously can be quite a lot of work. But I couldn't be happier with that. It's a great feeling and a real privilege to be in that position."

The 20-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and late Big Brother star Jade Goody revealed that he is seeking treatment at a facility in Spain. In a lengthy message posted to his Instagram account, Freddy admitted that he had picked up the habit at the age of 12. 'I've decided that I will be cutting down And I want to go to Rehab In Marbs [Marbella] as I feel if I'm in England I won't take getting clean seriously,' said Freddy, whose mother died when he was only four years old. Days later, and the Celebrity Race Across the World contestant was all smiles as he showed up at a Jurassic World event in London. Freddy seemed in high spirits as he arrived at Jurassic World: The Experience at NEON this Saturday, at Battersea Power Station Posing in front of one of the franchise's iconic Velociraptors, Freddy wore a £2,000 Louis Vuitton patterned denim jacket with a plain black T-shirt and beige trousers and trainers. Created by NEON, the Jurassic World experience allows visitors to mingle with dinosaurs as they wander from genetic laboratories to fossil pits. The star-studded event, which coincides with the upcoming release of sequel Jurassic World Rebirth, was also attended by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Countdown star Rachel Riley, and TV presenter Fearne Cotton. Freddy's visit comes days after he announced his rehab plans. He's reportedly doing so in an attempt to repair his fractured relationship with dad Jeff. Freddy is the youngest of Jeff's two sons. He and Goody also share 22-year-old Strictly Come Dancing and EastEnders star Bobby Brazier. Freddy is believed to be living with grandmother Jackiey Budden, to Jeff's chagrin. TV personality and ex-husband of Goody, Jeff, has reportedly taken legal action to keep the pair apart, growing increasingly worried as his son was photographed allegedly 'smoking a joint' with his gran. 'Jeff was never going to keep Freddy away from his nanny for very long,' a source told The Daily Mail of tensions between father and son. 'Jeff may hate her for all sorts of reasons going back many years, but Freddy loves her very much,' added the insider. More Trending In the post, he reveals that he's found a boxing club and rehabilitation centre where he hopes to get the habit under control. Adele says relationship with son has changed after poignant moment
Adolescence hit screens earlier this year on Netflix and has quickly become a fan favourite, with many hoping another series is in the works Adele says her relationship with her son has changed after a poignant moment between them. The singing superstar has said that she has written letters of thanks to the creators of the Netflix hit series Adolescence for the impact it has had on her and her son. The 37-year-old told director Philip Barantini that she watched the series alongside 13-year-old son Angelo. She said the programme changed "her relationship" with Angelo who she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki. Adolescence landed on Netflix earlier this year and was an instant hit. It stars Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham and tells the story of a 13-year-old schoolboy accused of murdering a classmate after being radicalised by misogynistic social media content. The Sun reported that Philip said: "I am getting messages, inundated on Instagram, from people from all over the world who can relate to this story or have really been affected by it. That, for me, has blown my mind a little bit. "I had a text message from Steven Spielberg who has watched it twice, and I got letters from Adele last week - handwritten letters from Adele. I mean, just like saying that she had watched it with her son, and it has changed their relationship. "Things like that are just beyond anything I ever imagined from this little show that we made with our family. You see things like Baby Reindeer and all of those shows — they come out and then they just blow up. It's a huge thing and that is the power of Netflix. "For some reason, because we made it in Yorkshire and it is set in a small town in England, I never thought in a million years it would be the number one show in India or Venezuela." The series has became Netflix's second most-watched English-language TV show ever only behind Wednesday, which is the Addams family spin-off. Since its March 13 debut, Adolescence has amassed 141.2 million views so far. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has also praised the show and how popular it has been across the world. He has even gone on to say that he thinks that schools should show the series to students for educational purposes. Sir Keir said he watched the series with his 14-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son. He said: "As a dad, I have not found it easy viewing." Main actor Owen Cooper has risen to fame since the show. He has been getting a lot of media attention after becoming an overnight star and even appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last week.

Jack Fincham and Chloe Brockett 'back together again after sixth split'
Seventh time's a charm for Jack and Chloe, who have reunited again after a tough couple of months for the pair, reigniting the spark by going on a series of sweet dates with each other Love Island star Jack Fincham and his on-off girlfriend Chloe Brockett are back together, after six break-ups. Still not ready to full call it a day, the couple are trying again to make their relationship work. Only in April it was reported that the constant bickering and heated rows had become too much for the pair, who ended their relationship for the sixth time. But seventh time's the charm for the tumultuous couple, who have come to the realisation that they have something "special". Jack, who found fame on Love Island in 2018, was paired up on the show with Dani Dyer. But the pair didn't last, splitting up just a few months after leaving the villa. Dani, 28, later found love with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen, with the couple getting married last weekend. Jack moved on with TOWIE star Chloe, 24, after they got together in 2019, and they've finally put their differences aside, after being spotted at Bethnal Green's Columbia Road Flower Market. A source told the Sun: "Chloe and Jack have been on and off for months but have finally put their differences aside to give their relationship another chance. They really want to make it work so have been enjoying some lowkey dates as they gradually build the trust. "They have realised they have something special so want to put their time and energy into making it work." The Mirror has reached out to Jack and Chloe's reps for comment. In March, Chloe opened up about one of their rows, admitting she threw a virtual reality headset at her boyfriend in a rage. She spoke about it on Spread The Juice podcast, explaining she had bought him the headset as a Christmas gift. She told host Jemma Lucy: "I bought Jack a Meta Quest for Christmas and I threw the Meta Quest at him. I just threw it at him." She revealed her reason for the aggressive moment was simply because she was "angry". At the time, Chloe insisted the pair were still an item. She told her Instagram followers: "For anyone concerned, I am very much still in a relationship. The last few months been very hard for everyone involved." She seemed to be referring to his court case, in which he avoided prison time after winning an appeal against his six week prison sentence. He was initially charged and convicted of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. But after the appeal, he was given a further three-month suspended sentence. This was added to his 18-month suspended sentence for a drug-driving offence in March 2024. They then split, with Jack admitting in May they were living apart. He told the Sun: "Chloe and I haven't been in a great place. I'm living at my mum's and she has moved out of the house we lived in and into her own flat. "I don't know what will happen between us. I still love her. I doubt it's over for good. We've been through a hell of a lot in the past couple of years."
