Nita Ambani has roped in Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna for NMACC India Weekend in New York. She visited Khanna's Bungalow recently.
Ahead of the much-antipated NMACC India Weekend in New York, the chairperson of the Reliance Foundation – Nita Ambani- visited chef Vikas Khanna's restaurant. Located in New York City, Vikas' Bungalow has emerged as one of the most sought after restaurants in the city. The chef took to his social media to share a picture with Nita Ambani and he penned a warm note reflecting on his journey.
Taking to his Instagram, chef Vikas Khanna shared a picture where he was seen cooking up an Indian delicacy with Nita Ambani. While he was dressed in his white coat and apron, Nita dressed to impress in a butterfly-printed saree.

Recalling his journey, Vikas talked about the time when he was training at the Mughal Sheraton in Agra in 1992. He wrote how he overheard a mother scolding her son to take his studies seriously. He wrote, 'I overheard a mother scolding her son: 'If you don't take your studies and summer homework seriously, you'll end up like him.' I still remember how the entire table turned to look at me."
In the same note, he mentioned how he continued to remain dedicated to his craft. He added how Nita approached him for the NMACC India Weekend in New York. He continued, 'So when Mrs. Ambani visited Bungalow with her vision for #NMACCIndiaWeekend and said, 'This place represents us—our traditions—and honours our ancestors. It is our responsibility to represent our legacy & inheritance.'…Thank you, Mrs. Ambani, for your love and support – for helping represent India to the world, with beauty, pride, and grace."
