All the players the Boston Celtics have worked out for the 2025 NBA draft so far

USA Todaya day ago

The 2025 NBA draft is less than two weeks away, set to go down on Wednesday, June 25. And the Boston Celtics have been working hard to interview prospects for the team to take with their Nos. 28 and 32 picks in the first and second rounds, respectively.
There have been a few high-profile interviews of prospects making the news ahead of the draft, but Boston has been among the busiest of ball clubs selecting in this year's draft in terms of working out players to add to their roster for the coming 2025-26 NBA season. Part of that activity is likely driven by the fact that the team will need to find some reliable, cheap talent with upside given their potentially historic incoming payroll and tax bill.
Backcourt depth has been an area Boston may be looking to augment, but the team also needs to find help in their frontcourt for the future.
Let's take a look at all of the players Boston has worked out to date, thanks to great reporting from our sister site, Rookie Wire.

Jasson Dominguez hesitates in huge moment and fans erupt

Jasson Dominguez hesitates in huge moment and fans erupt originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It only took one moment to flip the mood at Fenway—and it wasn't the scoreboard. It was Jasson Domínguez. And Yankees fans let him have it. Advertisement In the seventh inning of Saturday's loss to the Red Sox, Trent Grisham struck out swinging at a 2-1 fastball from Boston reliever Justin Wilson. At least, that's what Domínguez thought. Standing on second, the 21-year-old froze in no-man's land. He told reporters after the game he made a mistake, "no excuses." By the time he realized Grisham had only whiffed, not struck out, it was too late. Domínguez never advanced, and instead of having runners at second and third with one out and Aaron Judge on deck, the inning turned into a wasted opportunity. © Bob DeChiara-Imagn Images "What the Hell was that?' one fan posted within seconds. 'He just stood there! Inexcusable. Took the bat out of Grisham's hands and potentially lost a chance for Judge to come up with the bases loaded.' Advertisement The replies didn't cool off. 'Do the Yankees coach baserunning? Or do Volpe and Domínguez think they're invisible?' 'Talk about embarrassing. These guys can't get up for the Red Sox. Shameful.' It wasn't just a mistake. It was a moment that triggered the frustration fans have been sitting on for weeks. 'Am I the only one that feels like Jasson Dominguez needs a wake-up call lately?' another fan asked. 'Sit his butt down, Booney!!!' Yankees manager Aaron Boone had defended Anthony Volpe for making the first out of the 10th inning when he got thrown out trying to steal third base. So fans, lumped it in together and blamed the manager, who was visibly furious. Advertisement "Yesterday completely unnecessary and now this again," one fan tweeted. "Signs of a terribly coached team is that they lacking fundamental baseball skills! Terrible baserunning is at the top of the list !!! BaBoone needs to go!" Yankees slugger Aaron Judge gets odd label from Red Sox twins

Yankees slugger Aaron Judge gets odd label from Red Sox twins originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Yankees are 0–2 this weekend at Fenway, and most fans aren't exactly in the mood for warm-and-fuzzy moments. But even in the middle of a brutal series, Aaron Judge found himself on the receiving end of some unexpected scouting from the other side. Advertisement Before Saturday's loss, Red Sox manager Alex Cora introduced Judge to his seven-year-old twin sons. The meeting was quick, quiet—and apparently, revealing. 'They were kind of like quiet in the beginning and then they were comfortable,' Cora told The Associated Press. 'They called Angelica after the fact and said: 'He's shy.' They called him shy.' Yes, the Yankees' 6-foot-7, 282-pound captain—who hit 62 home runs two years ago and once stared down an entire stadium—is 'shy,' according to the twins. New York Yankees right fielder Aaron JudgeCary Edmondson-Imagn Images Judge didn't seem to mind the scouting report. 'Definitely, being a dad now, I look at it a little different,' said Judge, who is celebrating his first Father's Day weekend since his daughter, Nora Rose, was born in January. 'Just try to take maybe five minutes, six minutes out of my day. That's a memory they get to have for a lifetime. Even for me, those are special moments I get to share with fans.' Advertisement The boys got a photo and one of them walked away with a pair of Judge's batting gloves. Cora said another set is on the way. Judge smiled and said, 'I only had one pair on me.' It's not exactly the moment Yankees fans were hoping to see this weekend in Boston. But it was a real one. And for what it's worth, Judge is not actually shy. He's reserved. Just don't tell that to the next pitcher who tries to sneak a fastball past him. Red Sox' Alex Bregman reveals feat Roman Anthony has already accomplished that he hasn't

The post Red Sox' Alex Bregman reveals feat Roman Anthony has already accomplished that he hasn't appeared first on ClutchPoints. For a team that enters today just one game below .500 and has taken three of four against its biggest rival, this surge of young talent is exactly the boost the Boston Red Sox needed. Advertisement The Red Sox are in the midst of a youth movement, and few rookies are generating more buzz than Roman Anthony. The 20-year-old outfielder, recently called up by the Red Sox, is already making waves — and earning the respect of established veterans. Before Friday night's thrilling 2-1 walk-off win over the Yankees at Fenway Park, Alex Bregman offered high praise for his new teammate. In an article by MassLive's Christopher Smith, Bregman made it clear that Anthony is turning heads fast, even among the most experienced players in the clubhouse. 'I think he's gonna be one of the best hitters in all of baseball,' Bregman said. 'Obviously you can't judge somebody by three games, but he's already hit a ball 111 (mph exit velocity) in the big leagues. I don't think I've ever done that in my career.' It's a remarkable early achievement for Anthony, who only made his debut a few days earlier. That kind of exit velocity places him among elite company — something even Bregman, a two-time All-Star and World Series champion, has yet to do. Moments like these fuel the excitement surrounding top-tier Red Sox prospects, and Anthony is quickly living up to the hype. Advertisement Beyond just the numbers, Anthony's poise at the plate and maturity in the clubhouse are drawing praise. He went hitless in his debut but still drove in a run and reached base — traits that reflect well on the development system and his adaptability to major league pitching. The MLB rookie milestones keep coming for Anthony, who represents the promising future of a team working to stay competitive in a stacked AL East. With more performances like his recent ones, he may soon be the name Boston fans chant from the bleachers.
