Fatima Sana Shaikh says she dropped out of Class 12 after failing, Kapil Sharma says he got 44%: ‘Sara Ali Khan is a well-educated girl'
In a part of the clip, Kapil asks Sara Ali Khan about what she was pursuing before becoming an actor. She responded, 'I was studying. I have studied history, political science… I have studied a lot.' Meanwhile, Fatima Sana Shaikh lauded Sara and said, 'She is well educated.' However, speaking about herself, she said, 'I had dropped out of 12th standard after failing in 12th standard. I used to fail in class. I got 55 percent in 12th.'
Anupam quickly chimed in, declaring that he scored 38 percent in 12th, while Kapil shared that he got 44 percent. Anupam pointed at the crowd and said, 'Despite this, we are sitting here on the stage.'
Kapil also didn't miss the chance to take a dig at Sara Ali Khan, who is often seen holidaying in the mountains or going on religious trips. Kapil asked if Sara does the same to ask for a husband from God. He said, 'She likes mountains so much that she climbs a mountain as soon as she gets off shooting. She has come down only for my show. Do you go to mountains to ask for a husband?' Sara looked a little annoyed as she responded, 'If that was the case then there would have been a line of boys for me.'
During the interaction, Kapil pulled Anurag's leg, saying that he gives dialogues to his actors just a few minutes before the shoot. Kapil joked, 'Is your printer not working?' Aditya Roy Kapur then shared, 'You don't have pressure on his set as an actor because you don't know what you are doing. If you do bad work, it is his fault.'

Life In A Metro Sequel Was Irrfan's Idea, Says Anurag Basu: ‘I Was Scared…'
Last Updated: Anurag Basu reveals it was after the release of Jagga Jasoos that Irrfan told him to make Life In A Metro 2 and why Irrfan-Konkona Sensharma's story was ahead of the curve. 18 years after Life In A Metro comes its spiritual sequel, Metro In Dino. It's being reported that it also marks the last chapter of Anurag Basu's hyperlinked cinema. Much like its predecessor, it deals with the themes of modern relationships and its four stories are set in four metro cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru. Recently, Anurag had revealed that the film is an ode to Irrfan and KK, both of who were an integral part of Life In A Metro. Now, speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, Anurag says that it was, in fact, Irrfan's idea to turn the 2007 film into a sequel. Talking about it, he tells us, 'Post Jagga Jasoos, Irrfan and I were talking about a sequel to Life In A Metro. He, in fact, had given me the idea to start working on it. He told me, 'Metro 2 banaate hai.' He told me about it much later, not immediately after the first film." Interestingly, back in 2017, there were reports doing the rounds that Irrfan has already signed on the dotted lines and will be a part of the second film. Anurag, however, had no plans of making a trilogy of hyperlinked films. 'I didn't have any plans of making a trilogy. I was scared if Life In A Metro would even work. It was something very different. But after that, I got a hang of it. I started enjoying writing hyperlinked films. Then Ludo happened," shares the Gangster and Kites director. But it seems like Metro In Dino may not be the final film of his hyperlinked story series. 'I'm not going to make such films anymore because it's like writing four films in one and that takes too much time. But while it's challenging, it's also fun. The best part is getting to work with a whole team of actors. Hyperlinked films mein yeh ek maza hai. But as of now, Metro In Dino feels like the final one. That's not to say that there's no possibility of making another hyperlinked film but even if I do, I don't think it's going to happen very soon," Anurag states. Dating apps, an intrinsic part of modern-day love, may have witnessed an influx in India after 2007 but Anurag feels that the storyline featuring Konkona Sensharma and Irrfan in Life In A Metro was ahead of the curve. 'Their characters had met online – on a matrimonial site. A lot has changed in these 18 years and we should come to terms with it. People are less expressive in person now. They speak their hearts out, virtually. They can convey all their emotions in a true form online. Aaj kal one-to-one mein nahi hota hai," he opines. And what has been his personal takeaway from his previous relationships? 'What love has taught me is that I've started seeing the world and stories of people from a woman's point of view. I've learnt to see things from their perspective after falling in love and that has really helped me as a creative person," says Anurag. First Published:

Konkona Sensharma recalls doing random films with 'Life In a Metro' co-star Irrfan Khan: 'We had not taken things seriously at that time'
Konkona Sensharma, starring in 'Metro In Dino', fondly recalls working with late Irrfan Khan. She often accepted roles because of him, and their collaborations included spontaneous, fun moments on 'Life In A Metro' set. Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro In Dino releases on July 4, 2025, featuring a star-studded cast. Konkona Sensharma is gearing up for her role in 'Metro In Dino', a follow-up to the 2007 film 'Life In A Metro', where she shared the screen with the late Irrfan Khan . Having collaborated with him on several projects, Konkona recently opened up about her memories of working with Irrfan and revealed some lesser-known insights about the actor during a recent interview. Accepting Roles Because of Irrfan Talking to Mashable India, the actress shared that she sometimes accepted film roles simply because Irrfan Khan was involved. She also reflected on how their collaborations included a few unexpected and unconventional projects. Early Career and Random Films Together The actress explained that in the early 2000s, when the film industry was gradually recognizing Irrfan, she and he ended up doing many random films together. Often, someone would approach her with a project and mention that Irrfan was involved, leading her to believe that if he was part of it, the film must be decent and there would be something good in it. However, when they met on set, they realized things were not unfolding as expected, and she would tell him that since he had said yes, she had agreed as well. Irrfan would respond that he hadn't really known what he was getting into and had just said yes casually. Fun and Improvisation on the Set of 'Life In A Metro' She shared that shooting 'Life In A Metro' with Irrfan was a lot of fun. She mentioned that Irrfan had a unique ability to absorb and incorporate the real surroundings into his performance. During one scene, when something accidentally fell, Irrfan responded by dropping something himself, and then Konkona did the same, turning it into a playful exchange that director Anurag really enjoyed. When they had to recreate the shot due to an issue, they repeated the spontaneous act of dropping objects. She described the experience as natural, improvisational, and genuine, without anything feeling forced or staged. The Rooftop Shouting Scene Konkona added that even the rooftop scene where they were shouting wasn't originally planned as an impromptu moment. They were waiting in their van when Anurag Basu , affectionately called Dada, called them over and instructed them to stand in a certain spot and perform the scene. Despite strong winds, they shouted and completed the scene. At the time, they hadn't taken it too seriously, but the final result turned out beautifully. About 'Metro In Dino' 'Metro In Dino', directed by Anurag Basu, features a star-studded cast including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sara Ali Khan. The film is scheduled to release on July 4, 2025.
