Olly Murs asks 'shall I go?' as he's booed by crowd after on-stage admission
At one point, however, the 40-year-old Essex-born star, currently on his 15 Years of Hits tour, had the crowd booing after he let his cheeky chappy side show while interacting with the audience at his sold-out gig.
Midway through his energetic set, the former X Factor contestant stopped the show to reveal a Liverpool FC sign on the big screens, which inevitably sent his Evertonian fans into a frenzy.
The chart-topping singer was in stitches during the segment where he gives his long-serving band a chance to embarrass him.
The former Voice UK judge was quick to tell his Murs Army: 'At this part of the show, I have absolutely no idea what is about to appear on that screen.'
To add to the frenzy of the booing crowd, he went on to add: 'This will probably get the biggest boo of the night. I am a Manchester United fan.'
The star was cracking up at the louder boos from the audience and jeered, 'Shall I go?'.
Thankfully for his paying fans, though, Olly stayed to perform more of his much-loved pop hits.
Olly, who shot to fame after finishing runner-up on The X Factor in 2009, has been touring the UK to commemorate 15 years of his music.
Wednesday's performance showcased hits from across his career, including Dance With Me Tonight, Dear Darlin' and Heart Skips a Beat, alongside a few of his new tunes.
Olly had a major transformation ahead of his UK tour, wowing fans on Instagram as he shared a post showing off his new physique.
His six-pack surprised his 4.8million followers as he shared that he is 'pumped and ready to get on the road'.

The star completed a 12-week shred to get in shape for his 22 UK tour dates. More Trending
His tour continues with dates across the UK before concluding later this month.
Olly's Liverpool show follows his recent personal milestone of becoming a father for the first time in April 2023, when he and his wife, Amelia, welcomed their daughter, Madison.
Earlier this year, he announced that he's set to become a dad once more, as bodybuilder Amelia expects baby number two.

Hasan Al-Habib: Death to the West (Midlands) Pleasance Courtyard (Venue 33) ★★★★☆ Growing up during the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, Hasan Al-Habib is accustomed to prejudice about where he's from. The Birmingham-born stand-up knows the city is looked down upon by many in the UK and has cultivated an agile, reactive wit, mastery of accents and shifting persona to deflect the condescension and micro-aggressions he's endured. Being an Iraqi in the wake of 9/11 was likely a factor too. Hasan Al-Habib: Death to the West (Midlands) | Matt Stronge In this compelling debut, the comic negotiates the difficulties of his cultural identity. With cheeky chappie verve – reminiscent of the incorrigible Iranian stand-up Omid Djalili ironically, given historical hatred between their nations – Al-Habib sashays on, mugs and plays to the gallery in his introduction. Alternating between straightforward, gag-loaded exposition of his tale, pleading oppression if there's a lucrative refugee scholarship to be claimed and affecting the swagger of Muslim triumphalism at the integration of Islam into British life, he capably plays with tone. There's material here for Live at the Apollo and other bits that wouldn't be out of place in a Sunday supplement longread. His Baghdadi father's iron-discipline was forged witnessing Saddam's secret police enact brutal reprisals on those deemed insufficiently loyal to the regime. And the family's travel arrangements are always subject to border security scrutiny. Yet if Al-Habib's father shares a noble reason for visiting the 9/11 memorial in New York, he's also got mockable self-interest too. The comic invariably finds the ridiculous aspects of his adolescence and education, his idiot best friend portrayed as every bit as formative an influence as the teacher who abused him for his ancestry. Where's he particularly endearing and funny is charting his personal journey from internalised shame and inhibition to flourishing as a performer and being alive to a belated pilgrimage to his homeland. Entertaining stuff. JAY RICHARDSON until 24 August Josie Long: Now Is The Time of Monsters Pleasance Dome (Venue 23) ★★★★☆ This is a beautifully written, beautifully told story full of trickery and excellent jokes. It's about the passing of time, about getting older, about climate change and about the time when strange gigantic megafauna roamed the earth. It's political – after all it is Josie Long – but it's also deeply personal, domestic and delightfully playful. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Josie Long: Now is the Time of Monsters | Stephanie Gibson Long is so associated with radical politics that you can forget how enthralling silly she can be. She becomes the family hamster, a neanderthal, several sweetly voiced middle-class children and a handful of old ladies. There's even a few sexy moments, although neurodiverse awkwardness dictates these are mostly voiced from underneath her T shirt. She illustrates her story with children's drawings, she introduces extraordinary facts about prehistoric life. She conjures herself back to the time of cave painting, imagining how those humans spoke to their children. Her elegantly crafted jokes weave backwards and forwards in time. And there are even what computer games fans call 'Easter Eggs' – hidden cultural references for film buffs and politicos. Long is brilliant on the relentlessness and forced optimism of motherhood, and I love the interlude where she tries to educate her daughters to be as left wing as possible. Like all attempts at inter-generational indoctrination it is destined to fail. There is a depth and brilliance to this show which stays with you. There's a new fire behind the sparkle in her eyes. This is a woman at the peak of her power, in command of all her gifts. A comic since her teenage years, she knows how to elicit laughter – and she does. This is not some high falutin' intellectual game; it is life, and there is raw, difficult human experience hiding below the games, the silliness and the jokes. Despite the state of the state of the world it leaves you with a real feeling of optimism and hope. CLAIRE SMITH until 24 August Krystal Evans: A Star is Burnt Monkey Barrel 2 (Venue 515) ★★★☆☆ Krystal Evans knows how to find the funny side of tough situations. My God, she's had to, as she proved in her spectacularly good 2023 debut, The Hottest Girl at Burn Camp, which told the story of a horrific house fire that might have been deliberately set by her troubled mother. Her entertaining follow-up details her experiences of working in hospitality, starting at a fast-food shack in her native Washington State, moving up to fancier places and ultimately helping set up Aizle, the first of four highly rated Edinburgh restaurants headed by her (now ex) husband, chef Stuart Ralston. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Honest, confident and instinctively funny, she shares a few jaw-dropping anecdotes that shine a light on the hard work and disparity of recognition within the restaurant business (chefs are lauded, but everyone else's toil is often taken for granted by customers). It's a world in which the show must go on, no matter how heartbreaking things are behind the scenes. Evans also shares some brilliantly candid teenage horny diary entries, ushering us towards a justifiably sincere message about the value of following your true passion. A comedy fan from a young age, she didn't start doing stand-up until she was 30, but recently got to open for one of her early heroes, David Cross, and (though she doesn't mention it in this show) will be on the new Mitchell and Webb sketch show. You'll be seeing a lot more of this talented woman. ASHLEY DAVIES until 24 August Lily Philips: Crying Monkey Barrel Comedy (Venue 515) ★★★☆☆ Lily Philips and her partner had fertility treatment in order to conceive a much-wanted baby, but then things stopped going to plan. Despite the inspirational messages coming from her mothers-to-be WhatsApp group, Philips discovers childbirth to be messy, painful and distressing. She finds herself surrounded by misogyny at every turn, and realises – as a lot of new mothers do – the condescension and insensitivity shown to women during pregnancy, birth and early motherhood. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad She delivers her show almost as a public service announcement for women everywhere – although she works in a lot of laughs about the contrast between expectation and reality. There's a wider issue too, about the pressure social media puts on all of us to lead perfect Insta-ready lives and to broadcast an image of positivity and joy, whatever is really going on. One heart-rending moment when she looks at her newborn daughter for the first time will make you cry, but she quickly mines the moment for laughs. She gets a lot of mileage from sharing a name with porn star Lily Philips. Comic Lily leans into the confusion to drop in a lot of dirty jokes which keep the pace of her tale zipping along. CLAIRE SMITH until 12 August Batshit City Cafe (Venue 85) ★★★☆☆ Apart from being a real thrill for bat aficionados, cat lovers and those fascinated by the psychology of identical twins, you can save yourself £350 on an Oasis ticket and have much more fun joining Cheekykita and her charming sound operator Sian in the Batcave. The hour hurtles along, packed with squirty cream, a woman who wants to be a dog and is looking for love, some very niche porn and (allegedly) two jokes. The cockroach catching might be cut because Cheekykita is so rubbish at it, so, sorry if you don't get to see it and there is an entire section which is only hilarious if you know Happy Valley, but there is fun here for anyone who appreciates crazy, plus some important advice on Rich Tea use. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad This is comedy with no pretence (other than the pretence that she is a bat, of course). When we demand she produce the promised golden pigeons she is shocked. And golden pigeonless. 'No one's ever said yes before." As we wait for a song intro to cue up she assures us: 'Don't worry, something really good's coming.' And it did. KATE COPSTICK until 24 August

Olly kicked off with his 2012 hit Troublemaker, before belting out Right Place The Right Time and Please Don't Let Me Go to a packed crowd. The musician then took a trip down memory lane and said: "Ladies and gentleman, I'm taking you guys all the way back, right to the beginning, put your hands up." Olly brought the energy with his cheeky-chappy charisma as he sang his catchy 2010 track Thinking of Me, with the star rocking the stage with his slick moves and turning the crowd into a full-on singalong. Advertisement The atmosphere was buzzing with festival-goers of all ages attending this four-day music event, with even Coleen Rooney and her family enjoying the weekend. This is the first year this new festival was held on the grounds of Bolesworth Castle, a Grade II listed building. The views alone are worth the visit, with plenty of rural beauty to admire while rocking out to the music and enjoying a bite to eat. UB40 also took to the main stage earlier that day and it wouldn't be a UB40 performance without them singing their arguably best know hit Red Red Wine, which got the festival-goers singing along. Advertisement Another standout star from the line-up was Professor Green, who performed on Sunday. There may have been some rain and grey skies but that didn't dampen spirits in the slightest. Olly Murs breaks silence on baby two 'I didn't expect it to happen this quick' The Lullaby hitmaker looked thrilled to be performing in front of such a lively crowd as opened with hit tune Bad Decisions. He was full of enthusiasm as he performed Remedy, Monster and Read All About It while bouncing around the stage. Advertisement British singer songwriter Cat Burns also smashed it out of the park with her stunning vocals. She commanded the stage as she performed her huge track Go while the crowds were left captivated by her voice. There was plenty more artists taking to the stage across the weekend - with noughties favourites Scouting for Girls, Britain's Got Talent's Diversity, X Factor double act Jedward, international DJ Nathan Dawe, Artful Dodger and Ocean Colour Scene. Nineties icon Gabrielle brought the sunshine with her during her set, with classics like Out of Reach, Sunshine, Dreams and Rise. Advertisement The mums, dads, grandparents and kids were up on their feet for this one. There really was something for everyone. The music is not the only thing that this festival has to offer. We headed to the Wonky Lizard tent for some late night comedy and spent some of the afternoon channelling my inner Nicole Kidman in a special Moulin Rouge Cabaret show. Advertisement The variety of entertainment available will keep you busy all day. There was also bingo, a Greatest Showman circus - with firebreathers, hula hoopers and a family quiz, while tribute band Oasish paid homage to rockers Oasis in the tent, amid Noel and Liam Gallagher's comeback tour. There was a whole dedicated section to keep the kids busy, with a full fun fair, rides, a silent disco and even a Bluey, Peppa Pig and Bing meet and greet. The little ones were also able to enjoy some downtime in front of the a big screen playing children's films throughout the day. Advertisement If you fancy taking some time out, many headed to the Retreat zone which ran from the morning to mid afternoon, offering Thai massage workshops, south baths and yoga which will leave you feeling zen. The weather did pick up and those who wanted to get an dose of Ibiza headed to O beach, a premium pop up space with everything synonymous with O Beach including iconic round pool beds. There was even hot tubs and a dance floor with dancers putting on a immersive shows throughout the day. The quality of food vendors at the festival made the experience even better knowing we could grab some delicious food and drink without having to leave the venue. Advertisement We tucked into some piping hot jacket potatoes, freshly made pizzas, and mac and cheese with loaded fries and chicken. And if you thought you'd be waiting hours for some nosh, then you'd be pleasantly surprised to know that queues were quick and efficient. Five reasons to visit Together Again Festival The music has something for everyone, if you want your cheesy pop tunes, your more electric beats, some chilled out country vibes or some throwback beats, then you'll love this. The food is reasonably priced and has a variety - from Greek food, to noodles or Italian, there is something delicious that will keep you full and happy The venue and location is breathtaking and when your attention is not on the stage, then it will be on the gorgeous scenery and the Bolesworth Castle in the backdrop Perfect for all ages whether you're a toddler or over 80. The organisers have really catered for everyone. If you fancy taking some time out you can head to the Retreat zone or if you want a mini rave then Agora tent is for you. There was also baby sensory class, science fun and circus school for the little ones. Chester perfect place to explore if you've got a few hours spare between acts. Cheshire Zoo is around a 25mins drive from Bolseworth Castle and has over 37,000 animals from over 500 incredible species. The city centre also has an array of food spots, stunning architecture and Chester Cathedral is a must visit, with plenty of history. Party-goers who wanted to get up on stage themselves headed to the Wonky Lizard for a bit of Barrioke, while you could rave from morning to night with electric dance music in the Agora tent. And those who wanted to throw things back to the 90s, boogied on down to the Rewind stage, where So Solid Crew, Ultrabeat, Sonique, East 17, Phats and Small and Soul Town performed some bangers. Advertisement But my favourite had to be the Ranch stage. If you're a Taylor Swift fan and love your country music, this is the perfect little spot where you can don your cowboy boots and straw hat while chilling out on haystacks and sipping on a cold beverage. Singers Emilia Quinn, Fanny Lumsden and Shellyann were exceptional as they belted out smooth tunes and well known tracks. While the Whiskey Brothers performed some incredible covers and finished with an impressive medley - even dropping hits from Eminem and 50 cent into their round-up. In another snap, Maura enjoyed a mint ice cream which posed with while wearing a ruffled dress in a similar colour. She also shared a glimpse of herself in more casual attire, including a bright pink T-shirt dress branded with the Love Island logo. The brunette later posed for a fun snap with her pals as they made funny faces for a photo collage. Alongside the snaps, she wrote: 'Previously on……' The post comes after Maura moved into her £1.25million five-bedroom 'dream house' in Essex. The TV personality, who has amassed an estimated £3.2million fortune from her TV appearances, took to Instagram earlier this month to share the news that she had finally moved in. Sharing the news she posted a picture of stunning black French doors looking on to a garden, with a huge bouquet of glowers in a vase, Ferrari sparkling wine and a Diptyque candle. 'After the busiest few months.... she's finally in,' the former Love Island star captioned the snap. Sharing another snap of the kitchen featuring her pal, celebrity hairdresser Carl Bembridge, she wrote: 'No chairs yet but he always finds something to sit on.' As a young woman in rural Ireland, Maura's future was set - stay in the town, marry her teenage boyfriend and open up a hair salon. 'But that's not what I wanted. That was not my dream. That was my father's and boyfriend's dream. I wanted to do more,' Maura previously defiantly declared. In her next big move, the girl from remote County Longford purchased her huge house in Essex. Her riches have allowed the presenter to upgrade from her previous one-bedroom property in Essex to one with an en-suite master bedroom with four further rooms. Overjoyed, Maura shared to her Instagram followers a picture of her new kitchen with a chandelier and grey floors, which she bought in October, with the caption 'Bought my dream house'. An expansive kitchen, with an island, leads out past the dining area, out bi-folding doors to a large walled garden with a neat lawn. Maura's previous home was raided by three-masked men and so the Love Island star has ensured her new home was in a gated development which provides privacy and security.
