TopGear.com understands there are those of you out there who enjoy merrily freewheeling around on machines that feature only two wheels. Where are the other two! What have you done with them! Anyway, for those that enjoy such things, may we present a rather merry new machine with only two wheels!
It's called the '64, and it's made by a company called Beachman. Yes, the '64 represents the decade this machine draws its aesthetic inspiration from; those 'iconic' Sixties café racers that even non-fans of machines that feature only two wheels can get behind.

Just looks so damn cool. Quietly cool, too, because it's a vintage racer filled with a very new school power source – electricity. Inside that body sits a 2.88kWh lithium battery capable of up to 55 miles of range, or the option of a 3.6kWh unit unlocking up to 70 miles of range.
Both versions gets regenerative braking and the ability to hose in 80 per cent of battery power in three hours. Three hours spent staring at the thing. Did we say it looks so damn cool? You might like
Admittedly it's not massively fast, but then it's not that sort of bike. 'E-Bike' mode allows a top speed of 20mph, 'Moped' unlocks a 30mph vmax, while 'Off-Road' allows a heady 45mph 'off the beaten path'. Yes, it's technically a moped, so suffice to say you will not be chasing down speed records in one of these things.
Beachman instead urges you to 'slow down, reconnect and savour every mile'. Speed isn't the only burden it's been shorn of – Beachman has removed 'unnecessary tech', opting instead for 'elegant simplicity'. So no, there's probably not an app.

There is a 'performance tuned frame' and 'strategic weight distribution', and Beachman reckons the '64 offers 'impressive handling and on-road presence'. 'The '64 is engineered to deliver an exhilarating experience without overwhelming complexity,' it said. You know that thing about having more fun in a slow car than a fast one? Probably a bit of that in here.
'We've taken everything we love about vintage design, added real comfort and performance, and delivered a product that changes what people should expect from an electric bike,' said Beachman boss Ben Taylor. 'We're not just adding to the e-bike category, we believe that we are elevating it.'
Prices start from just $4,800, and Beachman can upgrade the performance and terrain capabilities to whatever you desire. If indeed, you desire merrily freewheeling around on machines that feature only two wheels.

A RARE vintage Bently left untouched for 30 years is about to sell for a staggering amount of money. The luxury motor from the 1950s was hidden in a barn and will finally see the light of day again hen it goes up for auction. 7 7 The chic car is a Charlie Watton A rare vintage Bentley which has belonged to its owner's family for six decades. The 1950 Bentley Mark VI relic was capable of 100mph in its prime, thanks to its powerful 4257cc OISE straight-six engine. Although it needs a major restoration to make it viable, much of the original interior is still intact. It still has its original leatherwork and veneer, and has a chic, dark grey paint-job. However, moths have ravaged the original wool inside the car First developed in 1946, the car was the first Bentley to be equipped with factory-designed coachwork. Pristine versions of the designer car often sell for anything from £15,000 to £150,000. As a true vintage relic, its sellers are hoping to get as much as possible in the auction. According to Luxury Auto News, the car was acquired by the seller's late father in the 1960s. It was used for its former owner's wedding and was passed down to his daughter in 2023, when he sadly passed away. Ahead of the event, a spokesperson for the auction site opened up about the luxury car. The spokesperson said: 'Now offered without reserve and presenting a dilemma for any would-be purchaser as to whether to preserve its years of patination or restore it back to its former glory. 'The Bentley is offered with a current UK V5C, owners handbook and a handful of old MoT test certificates and tax discs.' The news comes after a pensioner's car collection went on sale for £1 million. Range Rover to remove convenient feature for next-gen model as designer bizarrely calls it ‘dirty'
THE ELECTRIC Range Rover will not feature a front trunk, according to the designer of the hotly anticipated SUV. The vehicle is yet to officially debut, with only teasers of its design revealed so far - although fans will be pleased to know the EV version closely mirrors that of the combustion-engine model. 4 4 But one convenient feature found in many electric vehicles won't be included - in a decision partly based on customer feedback. The car's designer, Lynfel Owen, recently referred to the front of the car as the "dirtiest part" and questioned why anyone would want to lean against it to use a front trunk. In an interview with CarExpert, Owen said: 'Why would I want to lean against the dirtiest part of the car to put stuff in?' He explained his reasoning in greater detail: 'We spoke to our customers… none of them have an issue [with] lack of storage space. 'The rear cargo space is exactly the same. We haven't had to raise the floor. The only compromise we have to make is we're not able to offer a seven-seat derivative.' Owen has spent the last decade overseeing JLR's transition to electric power, having risen to chief engineer of vehicle engineering for the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender models. 'I pretty much only ever worked on Range Rover,' he said. 'I've done a few other projects. I didn't work on the [Jaguar] I-Pace. I was working on the previous-generation Range Rover.' To that end, the I-Pace - launched under the Jaguar brand as the first premium all-electric SUV from any manufacturer when it was revealed in 2016 - became infamous for reliability issues, particularly with its electric drivetrain and battery pack. Its poor customer satisfaction prompted Jaguar Land Rover to learn from its failures, focusing on reliability, improved thermal management and customer-centric design in the development of the Range Rover Electric. Owen said: 'We're making sure we learn from, you know, our mistakes with respect to I-Pace. 'So we're testing all aspects of the car… we've just had a northern hemisphere winter that we've completed, so we've been doing our low-mu testing on the frozen lakes.' He added: 'Some people have got [chargers] bolted on. Their garage might have two or three cars… [so you don't have to use a] 15 metre cable. 'Cabin comfort. Battery temperature. Whether it's to cool it down, whether it's to warm it up. Recovering heat from the air at minus 15… It also reduces the heating energy consumption by over 40 per cent [compared to I-Pace].' This includes the decision to forgo a front trunk, with the rear cargo volume remaining unchanged from the combustion-engine version and the 117-kWh battery pack accommodated without raising the floor. This approach contrasts with the I-Pace, which offered a small front storage compartment. Indeed, due to packaging constraints, the electric Range Rover will only be available with two rows of seats - which rules out a seven-seat option. While a spare wheel will be offered, it will reduce luggage capacity as it will sit above the cargo floor. Much like the upcoming Range Rover, Mercedes' electric G-Class also lacks a front trunk - although they compensated with a uniquely styled tailgate-mounted cargo box. The electric Range Rover will not compete with the G580, Owen claims, as it offers unmatched off-road capabilities, combined with Range Rover's famed luxury. The electric Range Rover's world premiere is expected later this year, with deliveries expected to begin in 2026.
