MAGA turns its fury on a new Trump aide being blamed for 'helping' Obama
And it's all because of Barack Obama.
Ratcliffe, who served as the director of the Office of National Intelligence (ODNI) in Trump's first administration, is one of the president's most loyal supporters.
But now MAGA supporters are asking why he didn't originally declassify the documents tied to the investigation of Russia's role in the 2016 election that were released last week.
Criticism arose after Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's current intel chief, released a report that accused Obama of being behind a 'treasonous conspiracy' to allege Russia interfered in the 2020 election on Trump's behalf.
Now MAGA supporters are furious that this did not come to light earlier.
'Wait! The current CIA director John Ratcliffe had the position of ODNI in the first Trump administration. Why didn't he declassify the documents proving the Russian collusion corruption by the Obama cabal that Tulsi Gabbard has now made public?,' Trump loyalist Roger Stone wrote on X.
The CIA did not immediately respond to Daily Mail's request for comment.
But in Trump's first term, Ratcliffe did release some documents tied to the Russia investigation, including a CIA memo that revealed Hillary Clinton had approved a plan to publicly tie Trump to the country's hack of the Democratic National Committee.
At that time, Trump was running against Joe Biden for a second term in the White House - a contest he would ultimately lose.
His campaign seized upon Ratcliffe's move as new evidence that Clinton was in a scheme to discredit Trump, who refers to the matter as the 'Russia hoax.'
Additionally, in this Trump term, Ratcliffe and Gabbard have declassified information to allege Obama administration officials manipulated intelligence and conspired to undermine the legitimacy of Trump's win in 2016.
And, earlier this month Ratcliffe released an internal CIA review of its Russia investigation, which found the agency failed in some cases to follow standard procedures.
Ratcliffe, a longtime Trump loyalist, argued the review showed that Democratic appointees who led the agency at the time 'manipulated intelligence and silenced career professionals — all to get Trump.'
Gabbard added fuel to the fire on Friday when she released a 114-page document that she says shows the Obama administration was aware that there was no threat of Russia 'directly' manipulating the vote in 2016.
'Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup with the objective of trying to usurp the President from fulfilling the mandate bestowed upon him by the American people,' Gabbard said in a statement.
She called for an investigation into and potential criminal prosecution of anyone who took part – which may include Obama and James Comey, the former FBI director.
Obama fired back at the 'bizarre allegations' coming from Trump.
His office dismissed the claims as another example of the constant 'nonsense and misinformation' that emanates out of the White House.
'Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes,' his post-presidency office said in a statement.
The documents revealed insider discussions among top Obama officials about Russia 's much-debated role in the 2016 U.S. elections.
Trump latched on to them and issued an extraordinary call to investigate the former president – accusing his predecessor of 'treason.'
'After what they did to me, whether it's right or wrong, it's time to go after people,' Trump said in the Oval Office on Tuesday.
President Trump accused his Democratic rivals of organizing a failed 'coup' in 2016, when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton and captured the White House.
'They tried to rig the election and they got caught and there should be really severe consequences,' he said.
Trump has long argued that the FBI counterintelligence probe that began during the 2016 election was the start of a 'coup' to prevent him from taking office.
But a bipartisan Senate investigation in 2020 found that Russia interfered in the 2016 election. One of the leaders of that probe was Marco Rubio, who was a senator on the intelligence committee at the time and now serves as Trump's secretary of state.

Dozens more countries face higher taxes as Trump tariffs come into force
New tariff rates, initiated under US President Donald Trump 's administration, came into effect on Thursday, marking a significant shift in global trade policy. These measures include proposed duties of up to 200 per cent on pharmaceuticals, 100 per cent on computer chips, and 50 per cent on most copper, steel, and aluminium imports. The tariffs announced on 1 August, which apply to 66 countries, Taiwan, and the Falkland Islands, have resulted in billions of dollars in higher costs for companies and increased uncertainty for global exporters. Despite the economic pressures, global financial markets largely took the adjustments in stride, with Asian shares and US futures mostly higher on Thursday. Major trading partners, such as the UK, EU, South Korea, and Japan, have negotiated deals for lower tariff rates to maintain access to the substantial American market.

Trump claims ‘billions of dollars' now flowing into US after president's new tariffs come into effect
President Donald Trump declared that billions of dollars are 'flowing' into the U.S. just minutes before the president's punishing new tariffs went into effect. Trump reignited his trade war last week, unveiling new rates between 10 and 41 percent on goods from more than 90 countries. After ordering a week-long delay on most levies just before his self-imposed deadline expired on August 1, the president's tariffs took effect just after midnight on Thursday. 'It's midnight!!!,' the president declared in block capitals at 11.58 p.m. on Wednesday. 'Billions of dollars in tariffs are now flowing into the United States of America.' Trump has repeatedly bragged about tariff revenues since he began ratcheting up import taxes on foreign goods on so-called 'Liberation Day' in April. The U.S. government collected almost $30 billion in tariff revenue last month, according to the Treasury Department – a 242 percent jump compared to last July. This is a developing story. More to follow.

Tom Homan slams Dem Delia Ramirez over 'proud Guatemalan' remark
Donald Trump's Border Czar Tom Homan piled onto the slew of attacks being launched at controversial Democrat Delia Ramirez. Illinois Rep. Ramirez stated during a press conference in Mexico over the weekend that she was 'a proud Guatemalan before I'm an American.' That comment sparked ire from several Republicans in the MAGA wing of the party, as President Donald Trump pushes his 'American First' vision worldwide. Homan became the latest high-profile Republican to condemn Ramirez's remarks. 'I think what she said was commitment should be to her state and the people that put her in that position' Homan said at the White House. Tennessee Republican Representative Andy Ogles wrote on X 'Denaturalize, deport, and kick her off [the] Homeland Committee. We know where her allegiances lie.' The Department of Homeland Security's official X account responded to the video of Ramirez's statement by posting a Theodore Roosevelt quote about American allegiance and condemning divided loyalties. Homan also took some time during his Wednesday presser to decry the false narratives that have been reported about 'Alligator Alcatraz,' the Florida facility where illegal migrants are being housed while they await deportation. Reports have surfaced about inhumane treatment at the facility and unjust conditions. Homan said that such reporting was false. 'I get asked these questions all the time about the terrible, terrible 'Alligator Alcatraz.' I went down there, and what I found out is there's a lot of fake stories out there about medical attention, about, you know, religious freedom and having clergy there. I went down there, I looked at the books. So it's just simply a false story,' Homan told reporters. Homan also dismissed concerns about the environmental impact of the facility. 'So all you know, they take waste out of there every day,' Homan noted, further adding that not 'one foot of concrete' was put down that 'wasn't already there.' Finally, Trump's border czar called out one group of individuals who he believes keep getting in the way of the administration moving forward with their agenda: 'I'm sick and tired of the radical judges trying to shut down everything we're doing,' Homan said. 'It's ridiculous. I thought the Supreme Court was pretty clear last month about these radical judges trying to, you know, stop the Trump administration from implementing our agenda that American people voted for,' Homan told reporters Wednesday. Overall, the unveiling of 'Alligator Alcatraz' has gotten mixed reviews. Republicans, led by the Trump administration, are big fans of the facility being used to house illegal migrants in Florida as they await deportation. A migrant held in the Alligator Alcatraz detention center described dozens of inmates being corralled inside cages at the disorienting, mosquito-infested facility in an interview last month with NBC6. Democrat Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz called 'Alligator Alcatraz' an 'internment camp' during a visit to the facility last month, noting that the conditions were 'appalling.' Wasserman Schultz also said that the whole facility was a 'stunt' and that human beings were 'abused.' Congressman Max Frost, another Florida Representative, said that toilets being clogged in the facilities have caused 'feces' to 'spread everywhere.' Trump toured the newly constructed migrant detention facility deep in the Florida Everglades - nicknamed 'Alligator Alcatraz' - in July. He then praised its remote, high-security design, promising it would soon house what he called 'the most menacing migrants, the most vicious people on the planet.'
