Emmerdale fans 'solve' jaw-dropping John twist - but another victim 'sealed'
Some Emmerdale fans are convinced they now know who will bring down killer John Sugden after a telling scene on Wednesday.
The character has framed someone else for his darkest crime, the murder of Nate Robinson. But amid a number of other dodgy actions and more than one character seemingly onto him, it's an unexpected character who could unravel the medic's lies.
Fans know that John has been messaging someone at a helpline to offload about his guilt, with him struggling over his actions. What we found out on Wednesday was that the person he's been messaging is none other than village vet Paddy Kirk.
Paddy happens to be the father figure of John's husband Aaron Dingle. Fans are now convinced John will let slip everything he has done, after Paddy asked John, unaware it was him, if he wanted to speak on the phone.
If Paddy is told anything by John and he recognises his voice, could it be game over for the killer? Fans certainly think so, wondering if Paddy will work it all out and expose the killer.
One viewer posted online: "Did everybody see that? Will Paddy put 2+2 together & eventually figure out that he's talking to John on the Guardians helpline?"
Another fan said: "Paddy being able to be the one who exposes John is actually a hilarious idea." A third viewer added: "Ahh Paddy is going to be the one to catch John out."
Another fan echoed this theory, writing: "Ooo Paddy put it all together mate!" Meanwhile other fans hoped he might team up with John's brother Robert, who is already onto John.
One fan suggested more than one character could now team up to take down John. They said: "Robert, Paddy , Cain and Tracy VS John."
But other fans were worried about this latest development, sure it could leave Paddy in danger. If John was to find out Paddy was the person he was messaging, surely he would have to cover his tracks if he did confess to a crime.
Fans wondered if Paddy would sadly be John's next victim. One viewer commented: "Don't tell me! Paddy's next," as another said: "OMG Paddy," along with a GIF teasing danger ahead for him.
A further post said: "If John hurts a hair on Paddy's head, I will riot. He needs to get caught already." Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out if the pair speak and end up realising who each other is, and what this could mean for John.

One Diversity star made a quick cameo in Bonnie Blue's new Channel 4 documentary in the form of a throwback photo Diversity star Ashley Banjo made an unlikely appearance in Channel 4's new documentary about adult film star Bonnie Blue's life. The adult star became one of the most controversial figures on the internet after encouraging "barely legal" teens to sleep with her in X-rated content she films and profits from, and her content continues to become more and more extreme. A new Channel 4 documentary, titled "1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story", was recently released and has exposed the often lonely reality of earning millions of pounds while being ostracised. During the documentary, dancer Ashley appeared in a form of a photo where he was seen with his arm around a younger Bonnie. The photo appeared while the porn star's mum discussed her passion for dance when she was younger. Ashley's name wasn't mentioned in the segment but the picture was clearly showed her past love of dance. Emmerdale cruel John Sugden twist 'foreshadows' final showdown with Robert
Emmerdale's latest episode saw John Sugden's cruel plan to keep Robert Sugden on side revealed to viewers, and with that it may have teased a final showdown for the brothers There was a worrying scene on Emmerdale on Friday night that saw John Sugden seemingly plot revenge on his brother Robert Sugden. Despite them appearing to clear the air, or at least come to an agreement, John's true agenda was revealed to fans. This week John was left in hospital after Robert attacked him during a tense showdown. Robert had no idea though that John was recording the moment he struck him at the back of the head with a spanner. Viewers learned this on Friday, when the end of the episode showed John watching it back on his laptop. It comes amid fans believing Robert's own real plan was given away in the episode, and he might not be playing nicely has he's claimed. We'd already seen John feign fear over Robert visiting him, before Robert practically begged his villainous brother for forgiveness. John threatened him, telling him that if he went back on his word in regards to dropping his vendetta as well as leaving Aaron Dingle alone, he "knew" what he would do. Robert obviously didn't know that John had set up the attack after goading him, leading him to his camper van where a camera was recording. In the footage we only see the moment John walks towards home and is struck by Robert with the tool. John falls to the ground as Robert watches on. It likely also caught the moment Robert wiped the tool and hid it, but even the attack alone is enough for John to get Robert locked up given the crime he spent six years in prison for. Fans had actually noticed the mirroring of events, as in 2019 Robert attacked Lee Posner in similar circumstances. Robert had confronted Lee after he raped his sister Victoria Sugden, and Lee goaded him until Robert snapped. John orchestrated Robert's latest crime, and now he has him exactly where he needs him. But John is ready and waiting for his brother to turn on him again, keeping hold of the video evidence to use if necessary to get rid of Robert. But could it all be foreshadowing a major showdown? Maybe the current battle between the brothers is just the beginning and a taster of John's comeuppance at the hands of Robert. Robert more than any other characters is well and truly onto John and his dark crimes. If he manages to find the proof and expose him, John will hopefully face his downfall and be punished for his actions, including the murder of Nate Robinson. So will it come down to another John vs Robert battle at the end, and was the attack and John's actions, with John threatening revenge if Robert goes against him, all a massive hint of what's ahead? If so, it could be a major tease that the storyline will conclude with Robert taking John down as fans are hoping for, and John's final attempts to come out on top.
