After the recent launch of the iQOO Z10R, Vivo has now introduced a new budget smartphone in India dubbed the Vivo T4R. The latest addition to Vivo's T series sits alongside the Vivo T4, Vivo T4x, and Vivo T4 Lite. Interestingly, the T4R shares many similarities with the iQOO Z10R in terms of design, specifications, and features. Both phones offer the same quad-curved AMOLED screen, MediaTek Dimensity 7400 5G chipset, and a 50-megapixel Sony rear camera. However, there are some differences. The T4R comes in different colour options and has a slightly slower charging speed. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models are priced at Rs 19,499 and Rs 21,499, respectively. The smartphone will go on sale from August 5, and will be available via Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and select partner retail stores.
Customers can also avail a Rs 2,000 instant discount with select bank cards or choose a Rs 2,000 exchange bonus. A 6-month no-cost EMI option is also being offered. Vivo T4R: Specs and featuresThe Vivo T4R comes with a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness. At just 7.39mm thick and weighing 183.5 grams, the T4R is positioned as one of the slimmest curved smartphones in its class. It's available in two new colours — Arctic White and Twilight Blue — which help set it apart from the iQOO Z10R.Under the hood, the Vivo T4R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 5G processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Vivo says this is the fastest Android phone under Rs 20,000, boasting an AnTuTu score of around 750,000. To manage heat, especially during gaming, the phone features a large graphite cooling system. It also has IP68/69 water and dust resistance, as well as military-grade durability with MIL-STD 810H certification.The phone packs a 5,700mAh battery, but unlike iQOO's 90W fast charging, the T4R supports 44W fast wired charging. Vivo has included Bypass Charging tech to help reduce heat while gaming.On the software side, the Vivo T4R runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, with support for 2 years of OS and 3 years of security patch updates. There are also several AI-powered features, such as AI Documents, Circle to Search, AI Note Assist, AI Screen Translation, and AI Transcript.As for cameras, the Vivo T4R sports a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor on the back, capable of recording 4K videos.
