At just 7.39mm thick and weighing 183.5 grams, the T4R is positioned as one of the slimmest curved smartphones in its class. It's available in two new colours — Arctic White and Twilight Blue — which help set it apart from the iQOO Z10R.Under the hood, the Vivo T4R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 5G processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Vivo says this is the fastest Android phone under Rs 20,000, boasting an AnTuTu score of around 750,000. To manage heat, especially during gaming, the phone features a large graphite cooling system. It also has IP68/69 water and dust resistance, as well as military-grade durability with MIL-STD 810H certification.The phone packs a 5,700mAh battery, but unlike iQOO's 90W fast charging, the T4R supports 44W fast wired charging. Vivo has included Bypass Charging tech to help reduce heat while gaming.On the software side, the Vivo T4R runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, with support for 2 years of OS and 3 years of security patch updates. The 149-metre vessel, which weighs 6,670 tonnes, is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced multi-role warships that GRSE has built during its 65 years as a Defence Public Sector Undertaking. According to the Indian Defence Research Wing report, this warship was accepted on behalf of the Indian Navy by RAdm Ravnish Seth, Chief Staff Officer (Technical), Eastern Naval Command. At present, GRSE is building 15 warships across four classes for the Indian Navy. Smartphone maker iQOO has appointed a 25-year-old gamer and esports coach, Vedang Vikas , as its Chief Gaming Officer , as the brand seeks to co-create its devices and increase engagement with online gamers. Vedang has emerged victorious among 80,000-plus gamers to lead the iQOO's Gaming Vision and will take home a package of Rs 10 lakh, the vivo group brand said in a statement. Vedang was picked up after a nationwide hunt across 400 Indian cities and towns, which drew over 80,000 entries from gaming enthusiasts. The position will give him the opportunity to collaborate with top gamers across India and earn a prize of Rs 10 lakh, it said. Apple logs India revenue record, new stores lined up Apple chief executive Tim Cook on Friday said there was an acceleration of growth in the April-June quarter with the iPhone maker reporting revenue records for the period in India driven by double digit growth across its smartphone, Mac computer and services business. Talking to analysts during the company's third quarter earnings call, Cook said the company is going to open its new Apple retail stores in India later this year. Industry executives said the new stores are expected to be unveiled next month ahead of the festive season and when Apple launches new iPhone models. The company is working on four new stores in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Noida. 'We recently launched the Apple Store online in Saudi Arabia, and we couldn't be more excited to open new stores in the UAE and India later this year,' said said there was an acceleration of growth around the world in the vast majority of markets, including greater China and many emerging markets. 'We had June quarter revenue records in more than two dozen countries and regions, including the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Western Europe, the Middle East, India, and South Asia,' he tracker Counterpoint Research in a report this week said India's smartphone market's wholesale value rose 18% year-on-year in the April-June quarter, reaching its highest-ever quarterly value. It said the iPhone 16 emerged as the most-shipped device in the period highlighting strong consumer demand. The ultra-premium (handsets priced over Rs 45,000) price segment grew 37% year-on-year, the fastest among all price bands, driven by Apple and Samsung. Cook said there was growth in iPhone sales in every geographic segment and double-digit growth in emerging markets such as India, Middle East, South Asia, and has also incurred around $800-million of tariff related costs globally in the June quarter and has estimated that the impact will add about $1.1 billion to its costs in the September quarter if the current global tariff rates, policies, and applications do not change for the balance of the quarter, and no new tariffs are added, Cook said.
