Nancy Grace Outraged at Diddy's Excuse Over Cassie Beating
Don't tell Nancy Grace that Diddy's jury should cut him a break for beating and kicking Cassie in the video jurors will watch next week ... she says what you see is EXACTLY the man he is.
Nancy appears on TMZ's new weekly series on Tubi, "TMZ Presents: United States V. Sean Combs: Inside the Diddy Trial," along with Harvey, Mark Geragos, Ashleigh Banfield and Eboni K. Williams.
Eboni suggests the defense will argue Diddy should not be judged by what he did on the worst day of his life. When Nancy heard that, she went ballistic, and everyone else joined in.
Nancy suggested the video proves the prosecution's case that Cassie was forced to participate in Diddy's "Freak Offs," but we know the defense will argue the fight was over a text message Cassie saw on Diddy's phone linking him to another woman.
We get into all the strategies, inside scoops, and the drama as the case heads for opening statements Monday, after which Cassie will be the star witness. Check out "TMZ Presents United States V. Sean Combs: Inside the Diddy Trial," available now for free on Tubi.

Diddy Defense Moves For Mistrial
Diddy's defense lawyer cried out for a mistrial Wednesday ... after a witness revealed fingerprints connected to the alleged break-in at Kid Cudi's Hollywood Hills house had been destroyed. An arson investigator was testifying about the Molotov cocktail thrown into Kid Cudi's car back in January 2012 ... prosecutors believe the device was thrown at the behest of Diddy in a jealous rage over Cassie. The arson investigator testified his unit had recovered DNA on the bottle used for the firebomb ... the partial DNA was from an unknown woman. The investigator then testified Kid Cudi had given his unit fingerprint cards from a December 2011 burglary at his home ... a burglary at which Diddy was allegedly present. Now the drama ... the investigator revealed those fingerprint cards Cudi had given them were destroyed in 2012 by the LAPD ... the defense jumped on this, claiming it could be exculpatory evidence if the fingerprints at the burglary didn't match the fingerprints at the arson scene. The defense argued the prosecution knew the insinuation would prejudice the defense's case but proceeded anyway. The jury was sent out of the courtroom and Diddy defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro said the feds were "trying to plant the idea with these jurors that Mr. Combs had something to do with the destruction of these fingerprints." The judge rejected the claim and denied the motion for a mistrial.

Diddy Trial Judge Says Mistrial Motion Will Be Addressed Tuesday
Sean "Diddy" Combs has a tense 24 hours ahead of him before finding out if his legal team will succeed in getting a mistrial declared in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case. Judge Arun Subramanian started out day 19 of the trial by announcing he will not rule on the defense's motion for mistrial until Tuesday. As we reported, Diddy's attorneys filed docs Saturday, claiming the prosecution presented untrue testimony. Cassie Ventura testified earlier in the trial she had witnessed Diddy holding Bryana Bongolan over a balcony edge. But texts appear to show Cassie texted Kristina Khorram, a Diddy employee, that she didn't actually see the alleged incident but rather learned about it afterwards ... texting "I just found out some crazy sh**." Prosecutors also entered into evidence photos of Bongolan's injuries, allegedly at the hands of Diddy from the balcony incident ... the photo metadata show they were taken on September 26, 2016 -- a date Diddy's team says their client was on the East Coast, on the other side of the country from where the alleged incident occurred, in L.A. Before the jury was seated Monday morning, Judge Subramanian said prosecutors will get to respond today to the mistrial motion ... before he addresses it tomorrow. "Jane," a former girlfriend of Diddy's testifying under a pseudonym, is set to take the stand again today, her third day. Last week she told the jury about alleged drug use during her time with Diddy, and medical complications from her "freak-off" episodes with the music mogul and others. Saturday's motion was the second time Diddy's team has filed for a mistrial ... just last month his lawyers asked for a mistrial when it came to fingerprint evidence related to the Kid Cudi investigations.

'Jane' Says Diddy Roughed Her Up Weeks After Cassie Beating Video Came Out
Diddy's ex-girlfriend "Jane" says he beat the crap out of her a couple weeks after the Cassie beating video was released ... and she claims the violence all started with a verbal argument about another woman. Jane testified Monday she didn't see Diddy for about a month after the Cassie beating video aired on CNN in May 2024 ... until they met up at her home in Los Angeles on June 18 in what she said ended up being "a very terrible day." She told jurors Diddy had just come from a family trip to Utah and they were talking in her backyard and drinking champagne and tequila when she says she confronted him about who he was traveling with in Utah. Jane said she called Diddy a "pedophile" after assuming he was with a woman who was roughly 25 years younger than him ... even though Jane testified she thought the alleged female companion was between 18 and 21 years old. She says the confrontation turned physical ... she told jurors she pushed Diddy's head into a marble counter and threw candles at him and told him she hated him. Jane testified things kept escalating and she tried to lock herself in the master bedroom ... but said Diddy kicked the door in. She said she then locked herself in the master bathroom, but said Diddy kicked that door in, too. She said she ran to the master closet to change clothes and try to escape. She told jurors she made a run for the front door but says Diddy caught her and kicked her in the back of the thigh, knocking her down. She said he put her in a chokehold and choked her, but claims she escaped his clutches and ran outside, hiding from him for what felt like 2 hours. Jane said she then returned to the house, thinking Diddy was gone, and saw him on the street. She said she went inside and locked herself in the guest bedroom, but testified Diddy kicked the door in ... and she says she started throwing candles at him again. She told the jury she then ran to a patio but was followed by Diddy, claiming she then punched him and he punched her back ... she added that all the punches were to each other's faces. Jane said she then ran to the backyard and curled up in a ball as Diddy punched and kicked her before she says he grabbed her by her arm and hair and dragged her back to the house. She testified after the alleged assault, she was in her master bedroom with Diddy and she used his phone to call the girl she thought he was with in Utah ... and she said when she asked the girl about the trip, the girl started insulting her, and Diddy held her down and made her listen to the verbal jabs. Diddy's defense has heard similar tales of domestic violence at several points during the trial ... but it's important to note Diddy is not charged with domestic violence.
