BYU football has another notable player entering the Transfer Portal.
One day after losing wide receiver Keelan Marion to the transfer portal, Harrison Taggart is not far behind him. The Cougars starting linebacker announced he would be entering the portal on Saturday. He becomes the tenth BYU player to leave the program during this cycle.

At 6-foot-1 and 235 pounds, Taggart held down the middle of the Cougars defense last season. He racked up 69 Tackles with a sack, force fumble and recovery, 3 PDUs, and an interception in 2024. The former four-star prospect spent two seasons at BYU after transferring from Oregon, where he spent his freshman year.
With Taggart out, former four-star recruit Siale Esera has the chance to step in and be the starting middle linebacker next season.
Taggart will have two years of eligibility at his next stop.
