When Karisma Kapoor took a dig at Manisha Koirala and Pooja Bhatt: 'I don't go around with different guys every day and then claim to be..'
Karisma Kapoor
and
Raveena Tandon
actually never got along with each other. Similarly,
Karisma
had once also taken a dig at her contemporaries
Manisha Koirala
and
Pooja Bhatt
after they allegedly called her 'arrogant'.
Once Karisma was asked about being arrogant with a no-nonsense attitude. She was asked that other actresses felt so. Reacting to it, she had said in an interview with Stardust, "I'm so tired of this. Why can't these girls keep their mouths shut once and for all? I don't understand what's wrong with them. In every interview they give, they have to mention my name in some context or the other. Especially Pooja Bhatt and Manisha Koirala. I really don't know why. Yes. I'm proud of being a Kapoor and will always be.'
She further went personal, took a dig at them and said, "And how should that affect others? I can't help these poor souls if they don't have a surname like Kapoor to boast about. And because I'm a Kapoor, I'm frank and outspoken. I'm not a hypocrite. I don't go around with different guys every day and then claim to be a virgin. Also, these girls gunning for me is their problem, not mine. They don't know what they're asking for.'
Karisma has never shared screen space with Pooja. Meanwhile, she and Manisha were a part of a film titled 'Dhanwaan'.

The Ba***ds of Bollywood preview: Karan Johar swears, Salman Khan glowers, Ranveer Singh goes ‘bohot hard' as Aryan Khan takes a dig at his jail time
The Ba***ds of Bollywood preview: Written and directed by Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, the preview of The Ba***ds of Bollywood dropped on Wednesday. The preview introduces the character of Aasman Singh, played by Lakshya, who gets his dream launch in Bollywood, and is on his way to becoming a star in the movies. The show is a faint reminder of Zoya Akhtar's film Luck By Chance where an outsider rises up amid competition from the biggest stars of Bollywood. Here, Raghav Juyal plays the quintessential 'best friend of the hero' and unlike their relationship in their big screen debut Kill, this one has them supporting each other. Sahher Bambba is introduced as the 'nepokid' and it is suggested that Bobby Deol is playing her father in the series. Karan Johar appears in the teaser in a cameo and it seems like he is taking a dig at the filmy Bollywood producers who swear at the drop of the hat. His sweatshirt reads, 'I did nothing. I just got lucky'. As expected, the show appears to be made on a massive budget with cars flying across VFX screens, and it appears that no expense was spared in enhancing the production value of the project. In a rather fun surprise for the fans, a glowering Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh repeating his 'bohot hard' line appear in cameos in this preview. Aasman is also seen behind the bars with a cop telling him not to worry because cinema people actually become more famous after they spend time in the prison. Many took this as a self-deprecating dig by Aryan who was wrongfully imprisoned in 2022. The show will start streaming on September 18. The Ba***ds of Bollywood released its first glimpse earlier this week with a video featuring writer and director Aryan Khan, and some of the actors of the show. The show stars Lakshya and Sahher Bambba, along with Bobby Deol,Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Gautami Kapoor. So far, the show has presented itself as an Entourage-like take on the Hindi film industry though it is yet to be known if it will be on the lines of the hit HBO series. The first look of the show had Shah Rukh Khan voicing some of his most popular film dialogues. As Aryan carries over that voice over, he declares that this show will be a mix of 'bahut saara pyaar (lots of love)' and 'thoda sa vaar (a little bit of a roast)' about Bollywood. The official synopsis of the series reads, 'An ambitious outsider and his friends navigate the larger-than-life yet uncertain world of Bollywood. The series blends self-aware humour with a high-stakes narrative — and promises a host of unforgettable cameos, blockbuster thrills and an adventurous ride into the world of Indian cinema.' ALSO READ | Will Aryan Khan's show The Ba***ds of Bollywood be to India what Seth Rogen's The Studio is to Hollywood? In an earlier chat with Raj Shamani, Karan Johar praised Aryan's directorial talent and said, 'I don't know if I'm even supposed to say this, but I have huge belief in Aryan Khan's directorial talent. I don't want to say anything about his Netflix show, because he'll get very angry, but all I'll say is this: watch out. If there is a King, there will be a Prince. I can say this with confidence, because I've seen the show. He has an individualistic voice as a director. He's not anything like you'd expect Shah Rukh Khan's son to be. He's his own person. He works quietly, he doesn't carry the baggage of his father, he doesn't carry the weight of his legacy. He works hard; he works 20 hours a day. He is a rare personality type.' He added, 'Whether it was board games or sports or this massive series, he has to win. He likes to win. He takes losses personally, and he gets even more motivated by success.' In an earlier chat with Hindi Rush, Manoj Pahwa echoed the same thing and shared, 'Aryan doesn't have any starry airs. He is a young and hardworking boy. The process of filming this series was quite long, but it was definitely fun.' He added, 'I know Shah Rukh works 18-20 hours a day if required. He is a workaholic, and I have seen Aryan work in a similar fashion too.' During the Waves Summit held earlier this year, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos praised the show and said, 'We have a show called The Ba***ds of Bollywood coming up that is really fun, and I am going to leave the audience to try to figure out the title completely, but it is so fun. I am four episodes in.' In another chat with Nikhil Kamath on his YouTube channel, Ted elaborated, 'I think people in India and people outside of India know nothing about the inner workings of Bollywood. So it's a really fun world. He's (Aryan) a very good director.' During an #AskSRK chat on X, Shah Rukh revealed to his fans that he would be appearing in a cameo in his son's show. He shared, 'Lots of lovely friends from the industry have participated in Aryan's series. They have been very very gracious and loving to him. Main toh hun hi…Haq se!' Lots of lovely friends from the industry have participated in Aryans series. They have been very very gracious and loving to him. Main toh hun hi…Haq se! — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) August 16, 2025 The Ba***ds of Bollywood revealed its title earlier this year with a video also featuring Shah Rukh Khan. The video did not reveal much about the show but it gave the audience their first glimpse of the creator of the show, Aryan Khan. SRK's son Aryan has chosen an unexpected path as many of his contemporaries have chosen to start their careers as actors. Previously, SRK's daughter Suhana Khan made her debut as an actor in Zoya Akhtar's 2023 film The Archies. Suhana is set to star with her father in his next film, King, which is being directed by Siddharth Anand.

Kannada hit Su From So signs new OTT streaming partner for Rs 5.5 crore. When and where to watch the movie
Synopsis Kannada cinema celebrates a new hit. 'Su From So' earns over Rs 100 crore worldwide. The film has now secured a digital and satellite deal. JioHotstar will stream the movie. Colors Kannada and Star Maa will broadcast it. The movie is about Ashoka, whose crush sparks rumours of spirit possession. The film blends comedy and social commentary. Su From So may stream on a different OTT giant, as per reports. Kannada cinema has just found its latest blockbuster in Su From So. Released with little fanfare, the film has grown into a cultural phenomenon, surpassing the Rs 100 crore mark in worldwide box office collections and surprising everyone with its meteoric rise. Now, after weeks of speculation, the comedy-drama has inked a digital and satellite deal worth Rs 5.5 crore + GST, ensuring its next big splash will be on the small screen. The movie, directed by debutant J. P. Thuminad, has been the talk of the town ever since it opened in theatres on July 25. Thuminad not only made his directorial debut but also took the lead role, with acclaimed filmmaker-actor Raj B. Shetty backing the project as both producer and performer. Their gamble paid off big time, as the film has now become the highest-grossing Kannada film of the year so far. In an interesting twist, the digital rights went through a shuffle. For weeks, industry buzz hinted at streaming giant, Prime Video having bagged the film, only for another platform, JioHotstar seal the deal at the last moment, as per 123Telugu. Alongside the OTT premiere, the satellite rights were also snapped up, with Colors Kannada set to telecast the film in Kannada and Star Maa handling the Telugu dubbed version. The streaming release date is expected to be announced soon, following the film's strong 25-day theatrical run. Su From So has earned its blockbuster badge not just with numbers but also with its quirky storyline. Set in the coastal village of Marlur near Someshwara, the plot follows Ashoka, a carefree young man whose harmless crush suddenly sparks a wildfire of rumours. Villagers begin to suspect he is possessed by a spirit named Sulochana, and what follows is a cascade of chaos, humour, and superstition that flips the entire community upside down. The film blends slapstick comedy with social commentary, diving into how gossip and belief systems shape people's lives. Backed by Lighter Buddha Films, Su From So features Shaneel Gautham, Sandhya Arakere, Prakash Thuminad, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas, and Raj B. Shetty in pivotal roles.

At the special event, which is currently underway in Mumbai, Aryan revealed that he has been working on the project for 4 years now. But before the star kid graced the stage, his superstar father SRK kickstarted the event in style. Shah Rukh began by addressing his shoulder injury and surgery. He won hearts with his witty one-liner referring to his National Award win for Jawan: '1-2 mahina lagega mujhe recover karne ke liye, lekin National Award uthaane ke liye mera ek haath hi kaafi hai.' Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan In another interesting moment from the ongoing event, Shah Rukh Khan revealed his first reaction when his son Aryan Khan brought the show's idea to him, stating that he wants to create something 'raw and edgy', with a whole lot of madness. SRK shared, 'Mujhe laga kahin yeh Mannat ka CCTV toh nahi YouTube pe daal raha. But he was actually creating something fresh and unique, and I'l be honest, it took me a little while to reach, to really catch on and to catch the tone of the show. But once I did, I was completely drawn in and honestly, I'm really really happy about it. But not only about the show, the entire cast that has come together to tell this story, because it's the characters that breathe life in the story and create magic onscreen.' Shah Rukh went on to add, 'Hindi mein bolun toh bohot hi dhaasu acting ki hai sabne, bohot hi faadu performances hain sabki.' He then invited lead stars Bobby Deol, Lakshya and Sahher Bambba on stage before welcoming the star of the evening, his director son Aryan Khan. Well, we wish Aryan all the best as he begins his journey in the industry!
