Rupali Ganguly's love for dogs is not a secret. The actress looks after over 15 dogs even on the sets of her show, Anupamaa, in Mumbai's Film City.
Rupali Ganguly has condemned the Supreme Court's verdict on the relocation of stray dogs in Delhi-NCR to shelter homes. On Tuesday, the Anupamaa star took to her X handle and penned down a long note, criticising the decision. She mentioned that by shifting dogs to shelter homes, we aren't showing any kindness but are only putting them in exile.
'In our traditions, dogs guard Bhairav Baba's temple and are fed on Amavasya for blessings. They've grown up on our streets, guarding shops, waiting outside our doors, barking away thieves," Rupali wrote.
'If we remove them now, we risk losing our protectors before the real dangers arrive, like silencing an alarm before a fire. Sending them to far-off shelters isn't kindness, it's exile," the actress continued.
'Stray dogs aren't outsiders; they're part of our faith, our culture, our safety. Care for them, vaccinate them, feed them and let them live where they belong. #straydogs," she added.

What Is The Supreme Court Order About Stray Dogs In Delhi?
The Supreme Court on Monday ordered that all stray dogs in Delhi and the NCR must be caught within eight weeks and kept in special shelters that civic authorities will set up. The court made it clear that once a dog is caught, it will not be released back onto the streets.
A bench of Justices JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan gave these directions while hearing a case taken up on its own about the rising number of stray dog attacks. The judges also said that anyone who tries to stop the authorities from carrying out the capture will face contempt of court action.
The court further ordered that a helpline must be started in Delhi-NCR to report dog bite cases. If a complaint is made, the dog involved must be caught within four hours.

Mohit Suri Called Uncle Mahesh Bhatt For Advice On Saiyaara: 'He Said Swear Words'

Mahesh Bhatt told Saiyaara director Mohit Suri to trust his instincts. Mohit Suri's latest film, Saiyaara, has become a sensation ever since its release last month. The film starred newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, who have also become massive stars due to the film's success. As Saiyaara continues its box office run, Mohit Suri joined CNN-News18 for a Town Hall where he discussed love, loss and of course, Saiyaara. During his session, he recalled how he called his uncle, Mahesh Bhatt, for advice when he was confused about a certain scene in the film. Mohit's mother, Heena, is Mahesh Bhatt's sister, making him the filmmaker's nephew. Mohit has often worked under Mahesh's guidance, and when he was faced with doubt during the shoot of Saiyaara, he reached out to his uncle and mentor. Referring to the scene in Saiyaara where Ahaan Panday's father gets violent with him, Mohit Suri said, while he was staging the scene with the actors, he felt it had become too dramatic. Mohit Suri said, 'At 7 in the morning the next day, I was going to shoot the scene. I sent a missed call to Bhatt saab. He was up at 4 in the morning, and he called me up. I said, 'I am feeling a little unsure, they're very nice people. I think I'm being a little too dramatic.' He has no idea about my script." 'All I've told him is the scene where the son gets violent with his father, he's an alcoholic. Bhatt saab just cut me off. He said a couple of swear words to me; that's him. I didn't realise that my profile picture was of my son's hand in my hand. He just said that the way you're holding your son's hand in a close-up, the kind of emotion you feel towards your son, no matter how, go shoot this scene, it's never going to have a wrong emotional connect," Mohit recalled. Mohit Suri said that Mahesh Bhatt mentioned, 'The son-father bond is too pure for you. How can the same person who has a DP like this even ask me this question? Go shoot it the way you want." Mohit Suri listened paid heed to this advice and it turned out to be one of the scenes that Aditya Chopra loved most. Meanwhile, Saiyaara has struck an emotional chord with audiences across the globe. The film's Indian box office collection has crossed Rs 300 crore, while the global total now stands above Rs 500 crore. Alongside Ahaan and Aneet, the ensemble cast includes Alam Khan, Sid Makkar, Shaan Groverr, Rajesh Kumar, and Varun Badola. Janhvi Kapoor In Masaba Gupta's Silver And Satin Look Is A Bride Who Breaks The Rules

Last Updated: As the Masaba bride for House Of Masaba's latest bridal collection, Janhvi Kapoor stunned in an unconventional lehenga set that came with a strapless blouse and dhoti skirt. Janhvi Kapoor continues to prove she's in a league of her own when it comes to style. After her dazzling ethnic looks for Param Sundari promotions, the actress has now stepped into bridal couture for ace designer Masaba Gupta by bringing a mix of drama, heritage, and modern flair to the runway of imagination. Masaba Gupta's House of Masaba's latest collection celebrates 'the bride who knows who she is and chooses how she shows up", and Janhvi Kapoor is its perfect muse. She embodies the many moods of the modern bride: coy, brave, shy, rebellious – often all in one frame. Decoding Janhvi Kapoor's Look View this post on Instagram A post shared by House of Masaba (@houseofmasaba) Janhvi traded the conventional lehenga for an unexpected silhouette. The Chandni set included a strapless, structured blouse with curved edges, crafted in shimmering silver and drenched in sequins that caught the light with every movement. Instead of the traditional skirt, Masaba styled her in satin-gold dhotis, mermaid-shaped and detailed with central pleats for a regal, fluid finish. The pairing balanced old-world grandeur with contemporary confidence – a visual metaphor for the modern bride herself. Janhvi's bridal accessories were statement pieces in their own right. Gold armlets with silver detailing framed her upper arms, the embroidered designs cascading into tassels of beads and stones. Her wrists were stacked with chunky bangles and delicate floral bracelets, blurring the line between jewellery and art. A unique, ornate headpiece: part maang tikka, part crown, added an unapologetic dose of drama, anchoring the look firmly in bridal tradition while refusing to play it safe. For the makeup, Janhvi went with a flawless matte base that let her natural complexion shine, with sculpted contour, flushed cheeks, and a touch of highlighter for a lit-from-within glow. Her maroon lips became the look's statement feature, while metallic eyeshadow, generous mascara, and pin-straight, open hair tied the ensemble together. The result was bridal glam that was both timeless and fresh. Janhvi Kapoor, in Masaba Gupta's hands, isn't just wearing couture – she's telling a story. This is bridal fashion that speaks to individuality, defies predictability, and still honours tradition. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
