Michael van Gerwen hits incredible nine-darter after fans spot he's made subtle change following struggles
The Dutchman sent fans wild during his 6-1 demolition of Ryan Searle at the German Darts Grand Prix today.

Van Gerwen was cruising in the third round tie when he put the icing on the cake by landing the perfect leg.
MVG struck seven treble 20s in a row before hitting the treble 19 and double 12 for the nine-darter.
The ice cool three-time world champion calmly turned to supporters, outstretching his arms and then blowing them a kiss in celebration.
Searle applauded and fist bumped his rival as beer was thrown by the raucous Munich crowd.
Fans of Van Gerwen noticed that he is playing in his old shirt at today's Euro Tour event.
He has stuck with the trademark green and black, but he has returned to the previous design that is different around the shoulders and back.
Van Gerwen has also swapped darts as he picked up ones previously used that are reportedly lighter.
The legend has been struggling for form this year and some reckon the minor changes could help the glory days return.
One said: "Wearing your old shirt and using the old darts. Stick to what you know. Keep believing and fighting. We are behind you."
Another added: "Are the old shirt and darts back for good?"

His shirt change comes after he injured himself trying on new ones.
He was forced to pull out night nine of the Premier League in Berlin earlier this month due to a shoulder injury sustained while outfit swapping.
His pal Vincent Van der Voort told the Darts Draait Door Podcast: 'He was trying on some shirts for his sponsor, and as soon as he put one on, he said something didn't feel right. He could barely move his neck.
"He went to a physiotherapist, had a massage, even took muscle relaxants. He gave it a go, but it just wasn't happening.
"During the warm-up, he still couldn't turn his head properly. That's when he knew it was over and he pulled out immediately.
'You could tell he was in serious pain. He was stiff, quiet—completely unlike him. Normally, he's the loudest guy in the room.
'But this time, he was just suffering. It was a complete disaster of a day.'

Man Utd lead race to sign former Arsenal target in £26m transfer
Manchester United have turned their attention to Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume in a bid to resolve their issues in midfield. Ruben Amorim is desperate to bring in another midfield option with United conceding defeat, for now at least, in their attempts to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton. A huge £100milling asking price has forced them to shelve their plans until next summer, having already spent over £200m rebuilding their attack. Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro coped admirably against Arsenal in United's opening game of the season on Sunday but there is a worrying lack of depth with Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo the manager's only other recognised options. The France Under-21 international has a release clause of €40million (£34.5m) but the report states Sevilla could be willing to do business for €30m (£26m). Other unnamed Premier League clubs are also monitoring the situation. Arsenal were credited with interest in Agoume earlier this summer as a possible replacement for Thomas Partey before eventually signing Christian Norgaard having also brought in Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Agoume made his professional debut with Sochaux at just 16 years old before moving to Inter Milan in 2018. He played just four times for the Italian giants, shipped out on loan to Spezia, Brest, Troyes and then Sevilla, who he joined in January 2024. Sevilla were suitably impressed to make the deal permanent last summer, managing to do so for less than €10m to sign Agoume in a deal that also included a 50 per cent sell-on clause. United are also thought to be considering a move for Morten Hjulmand, who starred under Amorim at Sporting CP. I love Palhinha and Ugarte, but I would say that Hjulmand is the most complete player in his position. Mark Clattenburg explains why the Premier League's handball rule 'can never be fixed' - and how VAR made everything worse
'Nothing can be done' to improve the Premier League 's handball rules, Mark Clattenburg has revealed. Speaking on the latest episode of the Mail's Whistleblowers podcast, the former Champions League final referee explained why handball rules can never be consistently applied and how the introduction of VAR has made everything worse. Just two weeks into the new season, a string of controversial handball calls has already marred otherwise engaging matches. During Friday's season opener between Liverpool and Bournemouth, Arne Slot and his bench were left fuming when play immediately resumed after defender Marcos Senesi appeared to deliberately punch the ball away from striker Hugo Ekitike. Merseyside was up in arms again on Monday when a match-winning penalty was awarded to Leeds for a handball by James Tarkowski, despite the defender pulling his arms away and the ball ricocheting off the back of teammate Kieran Dewsbury-Hall. 'I am not sure the handball rule can ever be fixed', Clattenburg told podcast co-hosts Ian Ladyman and Gordon Smart. 'It's one of those laws in football that will always be subjective and English football keeps changing; handballs are being penalised less and less. 'It used to be that handballs had to be deliberate. For years, referees used to argue, how do we know whether it was deliberate? 'So, the rules were changed – they've now tried to perfect this concept, arm was in an unnatural position. 'But what looks unnatural to you, could be different to me. So again, it leaves that subjectivity.' Adding to the confusion is the different ways handball rules are applied depending on the competition, with the Champions League being less stringent than the Premier League. Clattenburg said referees struggle when forced to apply different handball interpretations across competitions in the same week. He explained: 'You have all this different criteria. In the Champions League, if the ball touches the arm and their arms slightly away from the body, the referee is expected to give it. 'But then of course, you get players deliberately trying to hit a defender's arm from a cross. 'With all that in mind, I can never see a solution being found.' He called on officials to 'get back to basics' and stop overcomplicating simple rules like handball. Clattenburg agreed that the current state of handball decisions is a 'mess', with the addition of VAR making the situation worse and more indecipherable to fans. 'What's making it harder is the micromanaging', the former referee said. 'The use of VAR, with the slow motion, can make any handball look ten times worse… slow motion isn't always reality. 'I believe Ian's right. From my experience as a top-level referee, there's been many occasions over the last few seasons where I don't believe a handball should have been given. 'I sit there thinking, he never meant that, but the expectation is that it should be awarded.'
